Chapter 79 Backing

"Is there anything else?" Lin Muheng asked.

"Are you just going like this?" Jiang Chuwei asked, looking at him.

"Should I bring a gift?" Lin Muheng asked awkwardly.

"Who wants your gift?" Jiang Chuwei said irritably.

"I'm asking you, isn't this the backyard of the General's Mansion?"

"Oh, yes."

Where are you going?

Lin Muheng realized what was happening and immediately retorted, "Of course I climbed over the wall."

He got so excited that he almost ran from the backyard to the frontyard. Wouldn't that scare everyone in the General's Mansion?

“Come again tomorrow, and I’ll go with you to talk to Father and Mother. I’ll ask Second Brother and Third Brother not to go out either,” Jiang Chuwei said.

Worried that Lin Muheng would be disappointed, Jiang Chuwei said, "It would be counterproductive for you to go alone. I'll go with you tomorrow."

"Then you should get some sleep; your health is important." Lin Muheng quickly helped her lie down to sleep.

Jiang Chuwei: "I know what I'm doing."

Lin Muheng: "We still can't be careless."

"Qiu Shu, come in," Jiang Chuwei called out.

Qiu Shu immediately lifted the curtain and came in.

Upon seeing Lin Muheng, he immediately bowed and said, "No need for formalities! Serve your young lady well!"

"yes."

Donghua also brought over a bowl of hot ginger soup: "Miss! Drink some more ginger soup, and you'll feel better once you sweat it out."

Jiang Chuwei took it and drank it in one gulp.

Qiu Shu and Dong Hua looked at each other and smiled.

The young lady used to dislike the taste of ginger, but now she drinks medicine and ginger soup very quickly.

What they didn't know was that in their past lives, these pampered young ladies had been drinking medicinal soup for three whole years.

What is this ginger soup anyway?

Nightingale waited outside the door, awaiting the prince's punishment.

Lin Muheng glanced at her but said nothing.

Now, she belongs to Jiang Chuwei.

Jiang Chuwei would feel sorry for Lin Muheng if he punished her.

However, Nightingale herself chased after him and knelt down: "Your Highness, I know I was wrong. Please punish me."

Lin Muheng asked with his hands behind his back, "Why did you just watch her fall into the water?"

With Nightingale's martial arts skills, Jiang Chuwei would never be pushed into the water.

“Miss jumped down herself,” Nightingale answered truthfully.

Lin Muheng looked puzzled: "Are you serious?"

"I dare not utter a single falsehood. There was a man dressed as a servant on the boat who tried to push Miss into the water. I saw it clearly; his hand hadn't even touched Miss before she jumped into the water herself," Nightingale said with certainty.

"Where is that servant?" Lin Muheng asked with a gloomy face.

"I've handed it over to Night Rain," Nightingale replied.

"I understand." Lin Muheng vanished in a flash.

Nightingale breathed a sigh of relief. Ever since her mistress fell into the water, she had been worried that the prince might drive her away.

Over the days of spending time with the young lady, Nightingale has grown fond of her personality.

The young lady was very kind to the servants, especially to Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, whom she treated like her own sisters.

Nightingale knew that as long as she treated her mistress with sincerity, her mistress would treat her as well as she treated spring, summer, autumn and winter.

After drinking the ginger soup, Jiang Chuwei fell into a deep sleep.

Following Miss's instructions, Qiu Shu went to deliver a message to the second young master, telling him not to go out the next day.

The second young master now returns home on time every day, and he will definitely not go out tomorrow if it is about his sister.

However, the third young master is a different story. He leaves early and returns late every day, or sometimes he doesn't even come home at all.

Qiu Shu called Xia Qi over: "Go and keep an eye on Wen Tao Academy. Make sure the Third Young Master doesn't go out tomorrow."

"Why? Even the Third Young Master might not come back."

"Then go find his servant and find the Third Young Master no matter what."

Xia Qi responded. The Third Young Master's favorite place was the poetry club. Since it was still early, she decided to go and look for it first.

I don't know what Qiu Shu is up to, she's so mysterious.

In fact, Qiu Shu was much more excited than Miss.

The prince will come to propose marriage tomorrow!

Although it's not a formal betrothal, as long as the master and mistress agree, the marriage is practically settled.

The young lady's happy days are coming soon.

It's not because the young lady is going to marry the prince, but because she's going to marry someone who truly loves her.

They had all seen clearly in recent days that the prince truly cared for the young lady.

It is a great joy for a young lady to have someone who cares for her.

Xia Qi had just rushed out the door when the second and third young masters appeared at the same time.

Xia Qi shouted, "Third Young Master, you're finally back!"

In his excitement, he stumbled and fell to his knees with a thud.

Jianghe: ...

Jiang Hai: ...

Xia Qi: Who am I? Where am I? What am I doing?

Xia Qi looked up at the sky speechlessly. No wonder Miss always said she was reckless and embarrassed to be seen by others.

Jiang He suppressed a laugh: "Aren't you going to get up? Are you planning to kneel until the New Year?"

Jiang Hai chuckled: "Xia Qi, why are you never growing up?"

Xia Qi quickly stood up: "Third Young Master, you must stay home tomorrow. Something big is happening at home."

"What's wrong?" Jiang Hai asked, completely bewildered.

"Something big has happened at home, am I not allowed to stay home?" Jiang He was speechless.

"Qiu Shu only told me to look for the Third Young Master, not the Second Young Master."

Xia Qi said weakly that she had stolen a glance at the second young master, so it wasn't her fault.

The second and third young masters are twins. Although they look exactly alike, Xia Qi gets chills whenever she sees the second young master.

Just then, a servant from Xingyun Courtyard came over and said, "Miss sent a message telling the Second Young Master not to go out tomorrow."

Jiang He rolled his eyes at Xia Qi: "What an idiot."

Jiang Hai asked, "How is your young lady?"
