85. Mysterious Dream Fairy Tale (8)

85. Mysterious Dream Fairy Tale (8)

It will secretly run away from me

After the dirty little sunflower left, Xie Zeyuan felt as if he had seen something.

"Mr. Qin, you think it is him?"

Both of them knew who "ta" was referring to in that sentence.

Qin Fu'an turned his head and watched the little sunflower slowly leave through the window. Hearing this, he shook his head: "I'm not sure, but I did feel a sense of familiarity from it."

As he spoke, he looked at Xie Zeyuan, who seemed to be deep in thought, and said calmly, "Aren't you curious why I chose to become a repairman?"

"Because the toy store only has broken and discarded toys."

"If my reputation spreads far enough, he might just appear before me."

Xie Zeyuan, however, discerned a deeper meaning in these two sentences.

Because Xie Yunhuai seemed to be having a bad time in every instance, Qin Fu'an felt that Xie Yunhuai might be in an even worse situation in this world, which is why he chose to become a repairman.

It can repair the body of toys and naturally protect the people it wants to protect.

The so-called attraction of those "tails" was merely something Qin Fu'an did incidentally, and was not his main purpose at all.

He kills two birds with one stone; he never does anything that he cannot benefit from.

Perhaps, before finding Xie Yunhuai, Qin Fu'an might even try to eliminate all the players except the two of them to ensure that Xie Yunhuai is not harmed by these players.

Qin Fu'an is capable of doing such a thing.

Xie Zeyuan was very certain.

"It's getting dark." Xie Zeyuan collected her thoughts and looked out the window at the gradually darkening sky, but her mood slowly improved.

He was a ghost messenger who walked the streets of the underworld. Although he was not afraid of the scorching sun, he still preferred the night.

Qin Fu'an followed his gaze and looked outside.

The entire Happy Valley was shrouded in night. The place was already quite remote, and now that night had fallen, the surroundings were even more eerily quiet.

Both of them were wary of the night, but even toys need sleep in this instance.

Just like toys can sense pain from wounds.

"I'll keep watch for the first half of the night." Qin Fu'an sat on the table, holding the not-quite-round and shiny toy heart in his hand.

Xie Zeyuan had no objection. The little cotton doll slumped on the chair and fell asleep immediately.

The night deepened.

There was no moon or stars in the sky, and in just half an hour, the entire fairytale city seemed to be completely swallowed by darkness.

The little bear with building blocks sitting on the table by the window silently blended into the night, leaving only its pair of eerie green eyes quietly gazing at the quiet darkness outside the window.

But this intense blackness soon underwent even more bizarre changes as time passed.

The surroundings lit up quickly.

Bright sunshine replaced the night, and the fairytale city was distorted and deformed in Qin Fu'an's eyes, cracking and shattering like a smooth mirror to reveal another vast city hidden behind it.

A real city.

The area is bustling with traffic and people, filled with the aroma of steaming breakfast shops, the noisy honking of horns after a traffic jam, and the hurried yet natural flow of people coming and going.

Even the small ticket booth where Qin Fu'an was located quietly transformed into a house that had been magnified many times over.

Xie Zeyuan, who was sleeping on the stool, has also disappeared.

"Little cat, wake up! Get up, wash up, and have breakfast. After you finish eating, hurry up and go to your tutoring class."

The door was suddenly pushed open.

Qin Fu'an turned around and saw a woman wearing an apron, gently urging a bundle of people sleeping on the bed.

Qin Fu'an looked at the woman who was like a giant, then looked down at himself.

Very good, round and chubby, it's a golden lucky cat with a plump belly.

If I'm not mistaken, my stomach might be hollow, and filled with some loose coins.

I wonder if I'm now a 2.0 version of a lucky cat piggy bank, upgraded by liquid metal in Fairy Tale City.

Meanwhile, the "child" curled up asleep on the bed had turned over, opened its eyes, and was staring at itself intently.

Qin Fu'an's gaze met itss.

The reason I use "it" is because it is not a human child at all, but an enlarged version of a lucky cat, with the limbs and body of a human cub, but with a strange, smiling cat face.

Their eyes met, and Qin Fu'an recognized the other party, sensing its intense hatred and killing intent towards him.

"Little cat, get out of bed and wash up." The "mother" who came into the room urged again, and walked to the window next to Qin Fu'an. She reached out and pulled the half-closed curtains open, letting the bright and warm sunlight outside stream in without obstruction.

"Mommy." The child with the cat face sat up obediently, then turned to look at Qin Fu'an, his eerie green cat eyes darting around, and softly asked in a coquettish voice, "Can I use the pocket money in my piggy bank to buy snacks today?"

The human mother had her back to it, so she didn't see the strange, twisted smile on the cat's face.

"No!" Mom answered without hesitation, warning as she walked out, "Little cat, you've only put a few dollars in and you want to spend it again? Have you forgotten that you begged me to buy this piggy bank? If you want to take pocket money out of it, you'll have to break it."

Mom picked up the kitten who was still in bed, and while dressing him, she scolded him impatiently, "The day before yesterday you said it was your best friend, and today you're going to smash it?"

The kitten finished dressing and pouted regretfully, "Okay, Mom, can I put it in my backpack? I'm afraid it will sneak away without me if I leave."

To the mother, the kitten's words sounded like silly childish talk, but Qin Fu'an could see clearly that the kitten's eerie green eyes were fixed on him, and its cold, sinister smile never faded.

It wants to break itself.

It was afraid of running away.

It was currently half-concealing its identity as a human cub, so in its eyes, Qin Fu'an was the human cub that had hurt it.

The roles were reversed; it intended to kill the child in this way.

Qin Fu'an finally understood what the "strange dream" represented in the "Strange Dream Fairy Tale" instance.

But many questions remain.

Qin Fu'an remained quietly crouched in place, motionless, amidst the kitten's chilling smile, just like a real piggy bank.

Because he scanned his body with his spiritual power and confirmed that he was currently using the body of a repaired lucky cat piggy bank, he wasn't in a particular hurry.

The kitten put on its shoes and followed its mother into the living room to eat breakfast.

The bedroom door wasn't closed, and Qin Fu'an could hear the kitten still trying to get its mother to allow it to take its piggy bank to its tutoring class.

This should be the best opportunity for the toy to escape in the game.

But Qin Fu'an didn't move.

Because he was certain that the kitten's gaze had never left him from beginning to end.

Even if the kitten has left the bedroom, it will still be staring intently at you, just like a real cat perched on the wall watching a trapped mouse with great interest.

Under such gazes, Qin Fu'an simply turned around slowly, turning his back to the kitten's gaze, and looked out the window at the world outside.

Then, it saw, behind the blinding sunlight, faintly swaying black tendrils that obscured the sky.

The lucky cat piggy bank, which had been relatively calm, suddenly took an extra step toward the window.

The next second, a child's soft, innocent voice rang in its ear: "Little cat, are you going to run away with my money?"

Qin Fu'an turned around and saw that the child, who should have been eating in the living room, was now quietly standing behind him. The child's adorable smile on its cat face was becoming more and more exaggerated, as if it was looking forward to his escape.

Or perhaps, they were forcing Qin Fu'an to jump out of the window.

Because the window in this bedroom was deliberately left open, Qin Fu'an only needed to take two more steps forward to fall out.

Below is the awning that the family downstairs installed on their window. If you fall from this distance and react quickly, you definitely won't die.

If Qin Fu'an were to take this chance and, under the cat's coercion, actually jump down, he didn't think he would die, but he also didn't think he could really escape.

He knew all too well these tricks. Qin Fu'an was tired of these little schemes that seemed to offer a way out but were actually meant to lure people off the cliff.

In front of the kitten, Qin Fu'an not only did not move forward, but took a step back and returned to the original position, squatting there motionless once again.

"Why didn't you jump?!" The child's innocent voice suddenly became shrill.

Qin Fu'an looked up, met its gaze for a second, then closed his eyes, out of sight, out of mind.

He understands the toys' retaliation, but that doesn't mean he'll sympathize with them from their perspective.

After all, he was still a fish on the chopping block of these toys. In their eyes, he was not a respected repairman in the fairy tale city, but the culprit who caused their death and damage.

He didn't try to communicate with the lucky cat. First, it wouldn't listen to its enemy's explanations. Second, if he revealed that he was a member of the Fairy Tale City, who could be sure that the toys would forget these dream memories after "dawn"?

If there is no forgetting, then in this city, in the dreams of these toys, the players whose identities have been exposed should be removed from the leaderboard.

Without hesitation, he closed his eyes, seemingly having truly enraged the child before him. He panted heavily, reached out and forcefully grabbed the lucky cat piggy bank, raising both hands high to smash it—

"Kitten." A stern voice successfully stopped the kitten's venting behavior.

Mom came in again, frowning, and said, "You're not eating properly, and you want to touch the money in this piggy bank again? If you keep doing this, Mom will have to confiscate the piggy bank for now!"

The kitten stiffened and, under its mother's gaze, reluctantly put down the piggy bank.

Qin Fu'an, however, never opened his eyes or struggled at all from beginning to end.

This undoubtedly intensified the kitten's murderous intent, yet it seemed to have entered a dead end, leaving the kitten helpless for the time being.

After the kitten was taken out to eat by its mother, and the gaze that had been fixed on him finally disappeared briefly, Qin Fu'an turned around and looked out the window again.

The tentacles hidden behind the blinding sunlight spread out and covered every inch of the sky.

But no one can see it. In people's eyes, daytime is still daytime, with only sunshine, blue sky and white clouds, and no black tendrils.

Only Qin Fu'an can see it.

Because that was his little cloud.
