13.013 Complaint

13.013 Complaint

Ning Jin ate his fill in the cafeteria, and when he came out to see that it was still early, he greeted Lao Wang, who was driving with him, and said, "Keep an eye on the things in the car for me. I'll go back and check on them first, and I'll come back after everyone is asleep when it gets dark."

Many people knew that Ningjin's wife wanted to divorce him a few days ago. Old Wang also knew that Ningjin was afraid of trouble in the house again. He had to be worried about his son being handed over to his stepmother. "Okay, you go back first. I'll stay here and watch over things."

Ning Jin heard the voices of two children inside before she even entered the house. She pushed the door open and asked, "Have you eaten yet?"

"Dad, you're back!" Ning Ping'an got up from the ground and ran up to greet him with joy, only to be picked up by his father.

"Hey, what good food have you been eating these past few days? You've gotten heavier carrying me." Ning Jin carried her son into the house, patting his head as she passed Xu Yuan. Seeing no one else in sight, she asked, "Where's your mom? Hasn't she come back yet?"

Xu Yuan glanced at Ping An, who was still holding the man's arms, rubbed the small stone in his palm, and turned his head to say, "My mom went back to my maternal grandparents' house. She said she can be back before dark."

"Something happened at your maternal grandparents' house? Why did she go back at this time?" Ning Jin asked.

“She’s taken vegetable seeds. She’s turned our yard into a vegetable garden so she can grow vegetables at home,” Ping’an said, touching his father’s ear and pointing to the soil that had been turned up against the wall.

The man glanced at the sky and said, "It's getting dark. I'll go meet her a short distance away. You two wait inside. Aren't you scared?"

Xu Yuan subconsciously shook his head. He rarely spent time with this man and didn't want to show weakness to him.

"I'm scared, Dad. Please take me with you. I'll keep you company," Ping An pleaded, hugging his father's neck.

“Okay.” Ning Jin carried his son out. As he was about to close the door, he saw the little boy standing at the entrance of the main room staring at him expectantly. It was already dark, and the main room was dark even with the door open. There was only a lonely child and a black dog inside.

“Xiao Yuan, come too. Let’s go pick up your mom together.” The man, now a father, spoke while pulling on the door knocker. Seeing the little boy run over without hesitation, he locked the door and let him go first. “Boys need to be bolder. Speak your mind. Learn from Ping An.” He said to Xu Yuan, who had been silent.

Xu Yuan nodded without saying anything.

Xu Yuan listened intently to the chattering behind him, his eyes fixed on the road in the distance. "Mom?" he tentatively called out to the blurry figure in the distance.

"Xiao Yuan?" Su Yu responded and quickened her pace. She paused when the boy rushed over and hugged her leg, then took his outstretched hand and asked, "What are you doing here? Did you run away by yourself?"

Before he could speak, Su Yu saw Ning Jin approaching and asked in surprise, "Weren't you on a long-distance trip? How come you're back in just three or four days?"

"So you're saying you don't want me to come back?" Ning Jin asked with a smile.

"No, I was hoping you'd be home every day so I wouldn't have to fetch water myself. Seriously though, why did you suddenly come back?"

“I swapped with someone else because I was afraid someone would come looking for trouble and you would want a divorce again.” Considering Ping An was present, he didn't name names, but asked vaguely, “Has anyone come to the house to threaten you?”

Su Yu said no, she hadn't seen Ping An's two uncles or his grandmother come to cause her any trouble these past few days.

By the time they reached the house, it was completely dark. Every household had their lights on and were having dinner. Ning Jin put his son down and said to Su Yu, "You go inside first. I'm going to the factory to get something."

It was already seven or eight o'clock. Su Yu lit the fire, added water, and asked Xiao Yuan to help add firewood. She kneaded some dough and made egg noodle soup, also adding the leftover dumpling filling from lunch. Before the soup even boiled, Ning Jin returned with a bag on his back. He looked through the cupboard and said smugly, "This house can't function without me, can it? There are only ten days left this month, and we're almost out of rice and flour."

Su Yu watched him put things into the cupboard: rice, flour, two small bundles of buckwheat, and finally, he pulled out a dark-colored canned food jar. Seeing his smug expression, Su Yu opened it, smelled it, and asked, "Vegetable oil?"

"I traded rapeseed oil with someone. It didn't cost any money or coupons. I was bringing him something over, and he bottled it for me from the oil mill."

Su Yu patted the man's chest, gave him a satisfied look, and praised, "Not bad, you're still thinking about home even when you're away. You're a good man."

As she bent down to pick up the bowl, she whispered to the man squatting down folding bags, "You miss home and you miss me, don't you?" Then she immediately stood up and called to the two children, "Wash your hands and eat."

Ning Jin touched the things in her pants pockets and watched with a smile as the adult and two children carried bowls out of the kitchen.

Ping An and Xiao Yuan had just put down their chopsticks when they were hurriedly urged to take a shower and go to bed. "I'll wash the dishes. The water is already in the basin. You should go inside and take a shower too. I bought the things you wanted."

Ning Jin took the bowl and chopsticks from Su Yu's hands and urged her to go inside and take a shower. He had been holding back for almost a month. The pressure of being a driver was high, and being young, his needs in this area were particularly strong, especially after returning home and seeing his beautiful wife.

This day would come sooner or later, and Su Yu wasn't opposed to it. Although she hadn't married in her past life, she had dated two or three boyfriends, and during her single periods, she had sex toys to keep her company. Ning Jin was over 1.8 meters tall, muscular, and handsome. He didn't smoke or drink, and the two were legally married. She might as well take advantage of him.

As soon as I opened the door after washing up, the man walked over with his hair still wet. "Finished washing? I'll pour you some water."

Men are especially attentive at this time.

The door closed quickly, and Su Yu was hugged from behind. She leaned against the bed, avoiding his mouth, and stroked his hair, squinting at the dim light bulb. "Did you buy condoms?"

"I bought them." The man pulled two palm-sized yellow paper packets from his pants pocket and threw them on the bed, answering while he was busy, "I only managed to buy two bags, four in total. The doctor said they can be washed and will last for a month or two."

Su Yu picked up the crumpled yellow paper package, but before she could even look at it, she was pushed onto the bed. She complained, "What's the rush? It's not like we're going to starve."

"I'm leaving tomorrow morning, so just let me eat until I'm stuffed."

Hearing that he was leaving tomorrow morning, Su Yu kicked away the kneeling leg between her legs, closed her legs together, and pressed down on the man's hand. "Wait a minute, I have something to tell you."

"I'll talk about everything after I've tasted it."

"About your son, he got beaten up." Su Yu guessed that Ping An hadn't told his father. Sure enough, as soon as she spoke, the man leaning against her sat up, picked up her shirt to wipe the sweat from his chin, cleared his throat, and asked, "What happened?"

"The day you left, your mother called Ping An to her house for dinner, saying that your second sister had come and there was meat. She kept calling him for the next few days, but she wouldn't come in or talk to me. Every time she called Ping An, she would leave. It was the same at noon today. She said outside that she had boiled an egg for Ping An, and only one for him, since his brothers didn't get any. Ping An went there, but actually, there was no boiled egg." Then Su Yu recounted what Ping An had told her, especially emphasizing that the child had cut his lip and his sleeves were wet.

“I know your mother dislikes me and wants to cause me trouble, but she's afraid my father will come to her for justice. So she's trying to ruin my reputation and let the neighbors know I'm a wicked stepmother. But it's not good for her to target Ping An. The four of us are a family, and my husband and I won't get a divorce. If your mother stirs up Ping An's hatred and resentment towards me, it just means there's another person who dislikes me. But Ping An is different. He hates me, but he'll also hate Xiao Yuan, and he'll resent you for not wanting to divorce me. I saw you hugging Ping An when you came back, and I know you're a loving father. No man dislikes his son, and I don't want to cause conflict between you and your son because of what other people say.”

As she spoke, Su Yu softened her voice with a low, husky tone, perfectly embodying the phrase "thinking of you." Her innocent, naive demeanor gave her goosebumps.

Ning Jin rubbed his face, feeling annoyed by his mother's little actions. Even though they didn't live together, she still came to pick a fight. The burning anger he had felt earlier had completely subsided.

Seeing his reaction, Su Yu added fuel to the fire, frowning as she looked at him and said, "And your second sister-in-law, I don't know if she beats her own child like that too. If the water vat were any shorter, Ping An would have gotten more than just his sleeves wet. What's worse, she even insulted Ping An, saying he had a mother but no mother to raise him. Is that something a stepmother should say? I, as a stepmother, have never insulted a child who has lost his mother like that. And this is only what I know. I don't know if Ping An was ever treated this way or bullied by them before."

“You’re leaving tomorrow and I don’t know when you’ll be back. As your stepmother, I have no say in your house, and I’m afraid something might happen later. I’m just letting you know so you can see if you want to go to your mother’s house and say a few words, to support a child without a mother, and to make outsiders think twice before acting.” Su Yu looked at his face and spoke her mind: “If you don’t care, I can’t care either, and I won’t care anymore. If Ping An gets beaten or scolded in your Ning family or is deliberately misled, I won’t take responsibility.”

"You go to sleep first, I'll take Ping An to my mom's house." Ning Jin immediately got out of bed, put on his shoes, opened the door and went to the next room. After a while, Su Yu heard the sound of the door opening and closing in the room.

She breathed a sigh of relief. By pushing the matter on Ning Jin, she had accomplished her mission. In any case, she had no intention of harming her stepson. As long as someone tried to provoke her with the promise of peace, she would hmph. Even if they were both scheming and manipulative, she would not confront them directly. Instead, she would send the truly dangerous people out to deal with them.

Humming an unknown tune she'd heard on the radio, Su Yu slowly lay down on the bed, one leg dangling off the bed. After a while, she got up and pulled out a yellow paper packet from under the sheets.

Condoms, two-pack, 35mm diameter

Precautions:

1. This product comes in four sizes: large, medium, small, and extra small. Choose the appropriate size; it should not be too tight or too loose. Su Yu glanced at the words "diameter 35 mm" on the front. She figured Ning Jin could read, so he must have bought his size.

2. Before use, inflate the bulb to check for leaks. Do not use if leaks are found. (Is this a trick of inflating a balloon and finding a hole in a light bulb before putting it on?)

3. Before use, make sure to remove the air from the top storage bag and do not put it on the head.

This thing is quite thick, equivalent to two of the old ones nested together, and it can be reused. Su Yu pressed the two yellow paper packets under her pillow. The poor conditions of use did not make her feel dissatisfied. On the contrary, she was quite looking forward to using the inflatable test.

Wow, a man with sweat dripping down his chin, blowing on a light bulb before putting it on—how romantic! Just thinking about it gets me excited.
