Chapter 67: Sleeping Statue (7) Very Hungry

Zhuang Yan told Yue Ya that he felt the spiritual energy from their dimension.

This was the first time that Zhuang Yan had captured traces of spiritual energy from this plane since entering the dungeon.

Yue Ya never mentioned this matter, but he never forgot the purpose of forming a team with Zhuang Yan.

Yue Ya kept walking and said to Zhuang Yan, "The ferry is heading towards the mouth of reincarnation. Is the spiritual energy you sensed coming from the depths of the cave?"

Zhuang Yan pursed his lips and said, "It should be that the closer the distance is, the more concentrated the spiritual energy becomes."

Yue Ya was unable to sense the spiritual energy from Zhuang Yan's mouth, but he felt that the Mouth of Samsara was emitting a familiar breath. He had smelled a similar breath somewhere else before, but he couldn't remember it for the moment.

"What are you talking about? I don't quite understand." Hongcha was sandwiched between them and was confused: "What spiritual energy? Why can't I feel any spiritual energy? I only feel a strong and dangerous aura."

Xuecha was always perceptive and a little worried: "Are you planning to go into the Mouth of Samsara to find out what's going on?"

Yue Ya shook her head and answered with certainty, "No."

Zhuang Yan nodded in agreement and added, "He and I come from the same plane and are pursuing the same important thing. But don't worry, our first priority is to clear the level. We won't do anything stupid to drag you down."

As they were about to reach the cab, Yue Ya looked at the historian and his wife and said, "You two should hide first, and then show up when the people in the cab are off guard."

The historian couple looked at each other and disappeared at the same time.

Yue Ya and his group stopped talking, and the silence accelerated.

Yueya rushed forward and kicked open the door of the cab.

A loud bang made everyone in the cabin turn their heads to look at them. There were five NPCs here, four of whom were wearing white uniforms. The middle-aged man in a dark blue uniform was the captain of the ferry.

"Who are you and why are you breaking into the cabin?" The captain had a pair of eagle eyes and a sharp gaze.

The view from the cab is wide. Yue Ya looks into the distance and sees that they are very close to the Mouth of Samsara. A huge whirlpool stirs up the waves, like a giant mouth opening on the sea, looking as if it can swallow the sky.

The ferry rose and fell on the waves, moving forward courageously towards the black hole above the whirlpool, in a completely sacrificial posture.

Yue Ya waved his hand, and two puppets appeared silently behind the captain and strangled his throat.

Yue Ya ordered: "Change course immediately and stay away from the mouth of reincarnation."

The captain sneered: "You think too highly of me if you want me to obey you with just these two little guys."

As soon as he finished speaking, several fat tentacles emerged from the captain's back and pierced through the bodies of the two puppets.

The puppets had no sense of pain, and instead of letting go, they dug their hands into the captain's neck.

"Don't cry until you see the coffin!" The captain showed a sinister look on his face, and his tentacles suddenly exerted force to strangle the puppet's body!

The puppet's shattered body fell to the ground, with only its two hands still stubbornly stuck on the captain's neck.

The captain pulled off both hands, and dark green mucus flowed out from the wounds. His eyes flashed, and he threw them at Yue Ya!

Yue Ya nimbly dodged one of the hands and caught the second hand accurately. His skin was as white as paper and seemed to be torn apart if it was torn.

The captain obviously wanted to tear the paper into pieces. The tentacles behind him kept emerging, wriggling and stretching in the air. The captain was less vigilant and more violent than before. The captain flicked out his snake-like tongue and laughed sinisterly: "Before entering a new reincarnation, it might be a good idea to have a good meal first."

Yue Ya put down the puppet's arm, rubbed his wrist, and lay down ready to be slaughtered: "I didn't expect you to be so strong. Can you give me a chance to live?"

The captain laughed: "I can make your death easier."

Two tentacles stretched forward, aiming at Yue Ya's heart.

When the tentacles were about to touch Yue Ya, they suddenly could not extend an inch forward. The historian couple appeared beside the captain at some point, and a dozen poisonous snakes spit out from their mouths bit the captain's throat, blinded his eyes, and pierced his heart.

"How could it be...you two actually became traitors..." The captain was shocked and angry. As soon as he resisted, the historian couple brutally tore off his tentacles.

These huge tentacles fell to the ground and immediately turned into a pool of mucus.

Yue Ya clapped his hands, and the puppets stacked on the ground stood up tremblingly and reassembled. Even the big hole in the chest caused by the tentacles was perfectly repaired.

They float to the side of the console and assist players in controlling other pilots.

The very vulnerable Yue Ya smiled at the captain's angry gaze: "I'm sorry, I'm afraid they won't let you die too easily. Also, this ship has officially been taken over by us."

"Ah!!" the captain roared angrily. He wanted to rush towards Yue Ya, but was held tightly by the historian couple and could not move forward even a single step. The wounds on his body were torn even bigger due to his violent struggle.

Fei Fei narrowed his eyes, landed lightly on the captain's head, and began to absorb the negative energy from his body.

As a mature kitten, Feifei has learned to eat by himself!

[Ah, Moonboy is so handsome! We have taken over this ship!]

[Yuezai, a master at pretending to be a pig and eating a tiger]

[I was really nervous when the puppet was dismembered, he acted so convincingly!]

[Fei Fei: Let me have a good meal first]

[Fei Fei, eat your fill!]

Yueya raised her chin towards Zhuang Yan and said, "Zhuang Yan, do it."

"Okay." Zhuang Yan pressed the shoulder of one of the drivers, and a cluster of flames suddenly appeared in his palm: "You better obey my orders, otherwise I will burn you with this fire, and not even ashes will be left."

The pilot screamed and quickly changed course: "We will do as you say, please show mercy!"

This vortex is like the eye of a typhoon that suddenly appears. It controls the flow direction of nearby seawater. It is easy to rush in, but extremely difficult to leave its radiation range.

Even though the drivers ensured that they were driving at maximum speed against the wind, it only slowed down the speed of the ferry rushing towards the Mouth of Samsara, and they couldn't even turn around in place.

What's more, the Mouth of Samsara has been expanding. If there is no other way, they will be involved sooner or later.

Yue Ya looked at the raging waves ahead and thought that the dungeon had just begun, and it was unreasonable for a dead end to occur here. Could this be the difficulty of a G-level dungeon?

Maybe there is not a dead end behind the Mouth of Samsara, but Yue Ya doesn’t want to take a detour or take the risk.

Yue Ya looked at the historian couple and asked, "Is there any other way to get the ferry out of the Eye of Samsara as quickly as possible?"

They are now in the same boat. The historian couple is also anxious and of course tells everything they know.

The snake in the female historian's mouth stopped biting and uttered a hoarse voice: "There is a way."

The male historian closed his eyes and said, "That's the only way."

The dying captain trembled all over: "You are crazy! Stop it now!"

"We have already reached a point of no return," the male historian bit off the captain's throat and swallowed the last of his soul. He looked up at Yue Ya and said word by word, "Sacrifice twenty souls to the most powerful ghost on this ferry, and you can ask her to use her power to make the ferry return."

The most powerful ghost on the ferry, Yue Ya immediately thought of that person: "Are you referring to the innkeeper?"

The male historian nodded. "She died before we were drawn into the Mouth of Samsara. She is a ghost outside of Samsara. Her ability allows the ferry to escape from the Mouth of Samsara."

Yue Ya looked at him: "What are the consequences of doing this?"

The male historian's eyes dodged for a moment. "Any consequence of the ferry going off course is more serious than this. You don't have to think too much about it. You might as well go and gather twenty souls."

"If this method works, the clues at the funeral hall have been refreshed by now," Hongcha glanced at the cab and said decisively, "You two stay in the cab to control them, and my sister and I will go find other players and capture 20 ghosts for sacrifice."

Xuecha said: "Don't worry, we can complete the task."

Yue Ya thought for a moment and said, "Okay, be careful."

He handed the hunting net containing the human-faced octopus to Hongcha. There were three other human-faced octopuses in it to make up the number.

"Do you need our help?"

Two people appeared in the passage opposite the cab door at some point and were walking towards them. The ferry was shaking violently, but they were walking steadily.

When the two men walked out of the shadows, Yue Ya recognized them at a glance. They were the two players who lived diagonally across from him.

Hongcha also recognized it and lowered his alertness: "We are going to catch ghosts now, you two should come with us."

"Okay, let's go." One of the male players curled his lips and waited for the two Hongcha sisters to come over.

"Meow!" Feifei suddenly sharpened his claws on the ground, preparing for battle.

Feifei would never give a warning without reason. Yueya frowned and stopped Hongcha.

Hongcha was a little confused: "What's wrong?"

Yue Ya looked at the two male players in front of him again and found that they had a damp fishy smell, their skin was abnormally pale and blue, and the blood vessels lurking under their skin were bulging, which was a bit abnormal.

The male player looked calm and asked, "Aren't you leaving?"

Yue Ya didn't have time to test it out slowly. Two Yin gems appeared in his palms and he smashed them out as weapons.

Yue Ya's shooting ability has always been good. The two gems separated in the air and hit the two male players respectively. They were caught off guard and their first reaction was to use their instincts - ferocious tentacles emerged from their palms, shattering the attacking gems and dissolving the exploding Yin Qi.

"Oh no, we've been discovered..." One of the "male players" grinned. The blood vessels under his skin quickly expanded, broke through the skin, and drilled out, densely hanging on his lower jaw, wriggling constantly.

Hongcha got goosebumps all over her body and felt nauseous. "Fuck, why do they look so much like human-faced octopuses? Are they controlled by human-faced octopuses?"

"Time is running out, and two more obstacles have appeared. I don't know how the other players are doing now." Xue Cha frowned, raised her hand and waved. A whirlwind appeared out of thin air and rushed towards the passage. The whirlwind grew bigger and bigger, with amazing destructive power, and directly threw the two "male players" out.

The whirlwind dissipated, and the two "male players" stood up tremblingly, already covered in bruises.

Hongcha said, "Sister, don't waste it. With them, we now have five souls."

A lot of mucus came out of the two "male players"' bodies and they began to repair their wounds. They did not escape immediately but blocked the passage.

"You can't leave."

The "male player" smiled sinisterly, and more than a dozen figures appeared in the passage behind him. As the distance got closer, Yue Ya could see the appearance of these "people" clearly. They were like zombies, with their pale skin bulged high by the tentacles underneath.

Yue Ya scanned their faces one by one, and found several of them very familiar. They used to be players, ordinary living NPCs, but now they have all become hideous tentacle monsters.

A fishy smell filled the entire passage, and the sound of long tentacles dragging on the ground was creepy.

Zhuang Yan's pupils trembled slightly: "What on earth happened? Why are there suddenly so many tentacle monsters?"

Yue Ya guessed, "Unbeknownst to us, the human-faced octopuses attacked the living and took control of their bodies. These monsters spread and multiplied on the ferry like a virus."

Xuecha nodded in agreement: "I'm afraid there's more to it than that."

Hongcha cursed inwardly and threw out a red iron chain: "They are in the way. They are no longer alive. Since they came to our door, we don't have to make another trip. Brother Xiaoyue, leave this to us. You control the driver!"

Yue Ya said yes and sent the historian and his wife to help them.

A wave hit the ferry head-on, sending it to a high place before suddenly crashing down.

The players were knocked all over the place by the impact, and the tentacle monsters took the opportunity to attack. Red Tea and Snow Tea were not to be trifled with, and they went up to meet the attack with weapons in hand.

Hongcha looks sweet, but her attack is very strong. With a swing of the chain, she directly cuts off the head of the monster in front of her and sucks the monster's soul into the chain!

Feifei licked his lips and rushed into the monster pile. He hated the taste of these tentacle monsters. He was not here to eat, but to help fight.

[Sister Red Tea is so cool! I fell in love with her straight away!]

[No wonder Hongcha was so tough when facing the leather jacket guy, her fighting ability is really good]

This time, the waves pushed the ferry towards the Mouth of Samsara again. Yue Ya looked out of the cockpit. The Mouth of Samsara was like a black moon hanging on a seamount.

“Woo——”

Yue Ya heard a deep call coming from the Mouth of Samsara, and that familiar breath appeared again and became more obvious... He remembered where he had smelled a similar breath.

In the miracle ravine leading to the mouth of hell, on the reincarnation tree, in the abyss of the urn building.

These scents are all slightly different, but very close.

“Woo——”

The call sounded again, Yue Ya felt a dull pain on his forehead and he took a breath.

Zhuang Yan noticed that something was wrong with him: "What's wrong with you?"

Yue Ya raised his head, the color on his face was even less than before: "It's okay."

"What do you mean nothing..." Zhuang Yan was stunned: "You have grown horns!"

Yue Ya had a confused look on his face. He touched his forehead and indeed felt the pointed horns.

Zhuang Yan was very worried: "How come a horn suddenly grew out? Are you feeling unwell?"

The pain in his head had subsided. Yue Ya looked at the Mouth of Samsara again and suddenly felt hungry: "I'm a little hungry."

"?" Zhuang Yan's face was full of doubts: "Now?"

Zhuang Yan looked at Yueya's expression and realized that the hunger Yueya was talking about was definitely not the everyday hunger.

Yue Ya's left eye silently turned golden, and his vision changed completely. He could see countless free translucent substances in the air. The closer he was to the Mouth of Samsara, the denser the substance was. It was these substances that made him hungry.

He spread out his palms, and with a thought, the translucent substance floating in the air rushed towards him!
