"Sister Lin, can we still continue making clothes here?"
As soon as Lin Sucai finished speaking, several military wives started talking, and some were very worried that they would not be able to make money anymore.
Although the others didn't ask, they looked at Lin Su anxiously, fearing that she would say she couldn't continue.
Now that they finally have an income, they have more say in front of their men and can buy candy for their children. If they really can't do it anymore, how much money will they lose?
The more they feel sorry for the money, the more they curse the person who reported it. They say he has nothing to do and does all kinds of immoral things.
Lin Su: "Don't worry, sisters-in-law, everything is fine now, you can do what you normally do."
"Ah, that's good."
"Thank God."
"I heard that people are no longer afraid of speculation."
The military wives smiled after feeling relieved, and talked about speculation while sewing clothes.
Lin Su saw that they only relied on sewing to make clothes, which was a bit inefficient. It would be great if they had a sewing machine, but here she only saw that Gu Lin's family had one, and it seemed that no other family had a sewing machine.
Sewing machines seem a bit expensive. It's hard enough to buy just one, let alone so many.
The thought of the sewing machine only flashed through Lin Su's mind before she put it behind her. After she was almost done with her work, she went home to cook.
The sprouted bean sprouts can be used for stir-frying and making soup, and the tender vegetable seedlings can also be picked and stir-fried or boiled.
As soon as Lin Su returned, Qin Keke followed her closely, so she simply let him join in.
"Su, this meat will go bad if you don't finish cooking it." Grandma Lin looked at Lin Su while holding half a piece of meat.
Lin Su looked up and said, "I'll make some dried meat from it later. When Qin Sui goes on a mission, he can take it with him."
Grandma Lin nodded, "Okay."
There is no refrigerator at home, so the meat will go bad if you don’t eat it quickly.
Lin Su fried the fresh vegetables first before making the meat jerky. Thinking that Qin Sui preferred strong flavors, she planned to make a spicy meat jerky.
If there are many children at home, you can make one that is not too spicy. If your grandma has bad teeth, you can make softer dried meat.
Lin Su got to work right away and started busying herself in the kitchen again.
The kitchen was too smelly, so Qin Keke came out to play with his paper airplane. When he saw Grandma Lin picking up eggs, he immediately went forward excitedly and wanted to pick some up too.
Grandma Lin didn't stop him, and when he picked it up and handed it to her, she kept praising him.
Qin Keke's face turned red from the praise, and she ran into the kitchen again because she was shy.
Lin Su thought he was overheated from running, so she quickly touched the back of his neck to see if he was sweating.
Qin Keke now has very little resistance to Lin Su. Not only that, his dependence on Lin Su is already obvious.
Thinking that the three kids all like to eat steamed buns, Lin Su prepared to make some brown sugar steamed buns while there was still time.
When Qin Keke heard that there was candy, her eyes lit up, and she stayed close to Lin Su.
Lin Su ignored him and continued busying herself.
After all the food was prepared and packed in thermal boxes, Lin Su finally had time to eat with her grandmother and Coco.
Qin Keke held the brown sugar bun and ate it, stealing glances at Lin Su while doing so.
Lin Su noticed and asked with a smile: "What's wrong?"
Qin Keke said in a baby voice, "No, teacher."
"What don't you give?"
"This." Qin Keke raised her hand to gesture.
He thought the brown sugar buns were especially delicious. It was okay to give them to his older brothers and sisters, but he would be very unhappy if he gave them to that annoying teacher.
Thinking that Qin Keke was protecting her food, Lin Su didn't think much about it and nodded in agreement, "Okay, I won't give it to you today."
But they said no, but unexpectedly, Qin Yao and his friends met Li Changjiang while eating, and he was still holding the lunch box, glancing at the brown sugar buns in their hands.
Lin Su was afraid that Qin Keke would be angry so she didn't bring it up, but Li Changjiang took the initiative to speak, "Comrade Lin Su, you are such a good cook. Um, do you have any extra steamed buns? I want to buy some from you."
Lin Su couldn't possibly accept his money after hearing what he said. She was just thinking of giving him just one, but he saw through her intention and said shyly, "I really want to buy it, and I want a lot. Can you give me twenty?"
Twenty?
That's a bit much.
Lin Su was about to speak when Li Changjiang interrupted, "The steamed buns you make are delicious, even better than those in state-owned restaurants. How about this, I'll give you fifty cents for each one?"
Fifty cents? Wouldn't that make a great unity?
You know, a steamed bun sold outside only costs five cents. Is Li Changjiang so rich?
It would be a waste not to take the business that comes to your door, but Lin Su still didn't want to cheat him, "Isn't the money you gave too much? Ten cents will do."
Li Changjiang shook his head. "Not much. The steamed buns you make are delicious. You can't get them anywhere else. I grew up in Beijing and have never eaten such soft and fragrant steamed buns. I've been thinking about them ever since I had them last time."
Qin Yao rolled his eyes secretly after hearing this.
I don’t know whether I was thinking about the steamed buns or the person, the abacus beads were about to hit me in the face.
Qin Keke was about to make a scene when he heard that Li Changjiang wanted to eat their steamed buns, but when he heard that he wanted money, he restrained himself.
Seeing Li Changjiang's insistence, Lin Su nodded and agreed, "I only have ten left at home. I have to go back and make new ones and bring them to you."
Li Changjiang's Adam's apple moved, "Okay."
Although he wanted to eat it immediately, he could only wait patiently.
Lin Su's mind was full of business. After Qin Yao and the others finished eating, she hurriedly took Qin Keke back home. She didn't even hear Li Changjiang talking to her.
Qin Yao turned his head and looked at Li Changjiang.
Isn't their teacher a little stupid? He is still talking here after everyone has left.
