"There are only a dozen eggs, not enough for the four of us."
When the Qin family heard what she said, they felt a darkness before their eyes.
A dozen or so aren't enough for her to make?
Wait, she's going to eat all the eggs?
Mother Qin was the first to react. She stood up and ran towards the kitchen.
But it was too late.
"God damn it, you cracked all the eggs?!"
Lin Su: "Why, mother can't bear to let go?"
I definitely won’t let you go!
Mother Qin was afraid of being scolded by the old man, so she could only swallow her words and said distressedly: "You can't beat them all. These are the eggs I saved for a month."
"Only so few eggs in a month. The hen is no good. We might as well kill it and eat it."
Mother Qin was so angry that she almost vomited blood. She couldn't bear it any longer and raged, "After eating my eggs, you still want to eat my hens, damn girl, why don't you eat them to death!"
Lin Su sighed, "After all, I still can't bear to give it up. If my eldest brother's kid wanted to eat it, I'm afraid I would have taken the initiative to catch it and kill it. As expected, what Qin Sui said is right. My heart is biased."
When Qin Sui was mentioned, Qin's mother became breathless. But if she was asked to say that she was not biased, the facts were obvious and she couldn't argue.
"Okay, the food is cold, are you going to eat it or not?"
The yard was not far from the kitchen, so Qin's father could hear their conversation. The eggs had already been beaten, so there was no point in saying more. Besides, Lin Su was a smart girl. She knew that they couldn't let their relationship with their second son get into trouble, so she always mentioned him to threaten them.
What's the point of arguing with her? She's always talking, and who knows what she'll say in the end that'll upset them. That's why Qin's father called Qin's mother out, fearing that she'd do something stupid.
The yard was quiet, but the kitchen was a bit lively.
The three kids watched Lin Su frying eggs and couldn't help swallowing their saliva.
The second child, Qin Ni, had the loudest voice.
The third child, Qin Keke, grabbed Lin Su's pants and asked her if the egg was ready while swallowing his saliva.
The eldest boy, Qin Yao, was more reserved than the other two, but his eyes never left the eggs in the pot.
To be honest, Qin Yao was a little impressed by Lin Su. She actually dared to talk back to her grandparents and always managed to choke her grandmother. Even such a fierce grandmother always got humiliated.
Who, seeing the delicate and weak Lin Su, would dare to believe that she would fight with her parents-in-law?
…
Because of the egg incident, Qin's mother disliked Lin Su even more, and she also disliked Qin Sui's three children even more.
Not daring to say it directly, she just kept banging on and on in a sarcastic tone.
"Eat, eat, eat, all you do is eat. You don't even know where to lay the next egg. You're just wasting food day after day!"
"What a curse! He's not doing anything but finding fault!"
"Qin Yao and Qin Ni, you two have been wild for a few days and you're already thinking about going to heaven, right? You don't even wash the dishes or feed the chickens. What's wrong? Are you still waiting for me to feed you?"
The first two sentences are about Yin and Yang Lin Su, and the latter two sentences clearly refer to Qin Yao and Qin Ni.
The shadow left by Qin's mother on Qin Yao and Qin Ni is still there. After hearing her scolding, they wanted to go out to work, but were stopped by Lin Su.
"Don't go. She doesn't dare to deal with you, or do you two really like to work?"
Qin Yao and Qin Ni didn't answer.
Lin Su simply opened the door and went out. Not seeing the eldest Qin's children, she asked, "Are Qin Yao and Qin Ni the only ones in this family?"
"The kids from the old family have already gone out to help with the work." Qin's mother guessed what she was going to say and quickly made up something.
As she spoke, she kept forgetting Yin Yang and the others, "You are nothing like the debt collectors who can't even pay you back when the sun comes out. So, why are you waiting for me to cook dinner for you?"
Lin Su automatically blocked out her next sentence and said in surprise: "Oh, they really went to help with the work? Then I'll ask Qin Yao and the others to help as well."
I don’t know where those kids went to play, and if Qin Yao goes to find them, he’ll be exposed.
That cunning girl, she must have said that on purpose because she found out that I was lying.
Mother Qin secretly resented it, and her face showed emotion. "Why are they going? Just let them work at home."
"That won't do. It's better for me to treat everyone equally."
There was ambiguity in these words, and even the uneducated mother of Qin could hear it. She was angry and annoyed, but she would be at a disadvantage if she went against Lin Su, and she couldn't swallow her anger if she was asked to give up. In the end, she could only vent her anger on Qin Yao who came out.
"You only eat and don't work. You have eyes on the top of your head. You don't see the work, right? Do you still need me to call you?"
They had to work as soon as they came back. The key was that Qin's mother liked to treat them differently and disliked them in various ways, which was not conducive to recuperation and health. After comprehensive consideration, when Qin Yao was about to go to work without saying a word, Lin Su stopped him.
"Wait," Lin Su stopped him and said to Qin's mother, "Since mother thinks we are wasting food, I will take them back to my home and never come back."
Mother Qin's face immediately fell. "Whose new bride goes back to her parents' home right after marrying in? You even want to take Qin Yao and the others with you. If outsiders see us, they might say something bad about our family."
Lin Su smiled, "Mom is afraid of what people say, but after you guys worked Qin Yao's mother to death, the neighbors have been gossiping about her for a long time. Logically, you should be used to hearing it."
Qin's mother subconsciously denied it, "Don't talk nonsense, Qin Yao's mother clearly died of illness."
Lin Su didn't argue with her, but just looked at Qin Yao, "Do you want to go back to my house with me and wait for your father to come back, or do you want to stay here and wait?"
Before Qin Yao could answer, his mother angrily shouted, "If you dare to go, don't come back!"
Qin Yao suddenly had a rebellious thought in his mind. In addition, he had been to both sides, and he could obviously eat enough and not be beaten or scolded in Lin Su's house. Even a fool would know what to choose.
Qin Yao had already forgotten his guard against Lin Su. Now, fearing that his grandmother would beat them if Lin Su left, he mustered up the courage to resist for the first time, "We'll go with you."
To be honest, Lin Su was quite nervous when she asked Qin Yao. She didn't expect him to follow her without thinking.
