Chapter 1: Traveling Through Time

Seeing that Chen Fen had calmed down, Lin Su didn't pursue the matter any further. Instead, she explained to everyone, "I wanted to go pick some grass for the pigs, but suddenly I found a Chinese herb growing in the ravine halfway up the mountain. I reached out to pick it, but I slipped and fell. I didn't climb out until dark."

"I'm so sorry for making everyone worry. You even lit a torch to look for me in the middle of the night. I'm sorry for bothering everyone."

Seeing that she was speaking hurriedly, Lin Daqiang was afraid that she would turn around, so he quickly said, "Stop talking, little girl Lin. I'm glad she's okay. Second Aunt, please help her back."

Lin Daqiang and Grandma Lin are relatives from the next room, so Lin Daqiang takes good care of them on weekdays.

Grandma Lin was worried about Lin Su's health. After exchanging a few polite words with everyone, she quickly helped the person back.

On the way back, Grandma Lin really wanted to ask Lin Su where she had gone. Because Lin Su was weak, Grandma Lin was reluctant to let her collect grass for pigs. Besides, the backpack for collecting pig grass was still at home, so the girl must have lied.

But Grandma Lin felt more distressed than confused, so she didn't ask any further questions.

When she got home, she heard a clanging sound coming from the kitchen. Without thinking, Grandma Lin cursed, "You little bastard, you're stealing again! Be careful that you'll be arrested and sent to labor camp one day!"

"Mom, how about I eat some of your food..." Lin Chong's nonchalant voice sounded. He wiped his mouth and walked out the door. He just said half a sentence when he suddenly stopped. He stared at Lin Su with a shocked look on his face.

No, she still has the energy to come back? That thug is so useless?

When enemies meet, their eyes are filled with jealousy. However, not wanting to involve Grandma Lin, Lin Su suppressed her inner hatred and gave Lin Chong an ambiguous smile: "Uncle, the food is so delicious, is it because you are so happy today?"

Lin Chong hesitated for a few words and fled in panic.

Grandma Lin was a little confused, but she didn't ask any further questions. The two of them reheated the food, ate, and went to sleep.

The next morning, Lin Su looked in the mirror and found that her lips were not as pale as before. Judging from her appearance, she seemed to be almost normal, but only she knew that she was still far from normal.

Grandma Lin, on the other hand, looked at her with some doubt and wonder, "Su, why do I feel like your face looks a little rosier?"

"Maybe I slept well last night..." Lin Su made up an excuse and walked into the kitchen.

She wanted to see what she could make for breakfast in the morning. There was some spiritual spring water in the space, which she could add to the food to improve the health of her grandmother and herself.

"Hey, hey, hey! What are you doing?" Before Lin Su could even warm the spatula in her hand, Grandma Lin snatched it away. "You're still weak, how can you cook? Be good and wait outside. If it's not fun, go back to sleep for a while."

Grandma Lin pushed the person out of the kitchen without giving him any chance to be rejected.

Unable to mix it with the food, Lin Su could only find a teacup and pour a few drops of the spiritual spring water, and then handed it to Grandma Lin while she was sweating from making the fire.

"Grandma, drink some water."

Grandma Lin didn't suspect anything, took it with a smile, and drank it all in one gulp.

It wasn't that Lin Su was reluctant to give more, but the production of the spiritual spring was irregular. Sometimes it would only take one or two sips every ten days or half a month, and sometimes it would take half a cup a day. What was given out now was already the last bit.

The effect could not be seen for a while. After breakfast, Grandma Lin forced Lin Su to go back and rest while she did housework in the yard.

Lin Su was lying there in a daze when she suddenly heard her grandmother's powerful voice.

"Suah, someone's looking for you."

"Here I come."

Lin Su responded, casually pulled her overlong braids a few times, opened the door and went out. When she saw the young man standing in the yard, she stopped abruptly.

Although she had never met Qin Sui, the first sight today made her feel that this person was Qin Sui.

As expected, the young man introduced himself: "I am Qin Sui."

The deep, magnetic voice was as sexy as last night. Lin Su's eyelashes trembled slightly, and she suppressed her inner throbbing and asked, "What's the matter?"

Qin Sui glanced at Grandma Lin.

Grandma Lin knew Qin Sui's family background, so she waved her hand and let the two chat without worry, while she went to the chicken coop to feed the chickens.

Qin Sui's eyebrows and eyes were as deep as stars, his nose was high, and his lips were as thin as a knife, which were slightly pursed, making him look a bit serious.

He was about 1.8 meters tall, and dressed in a green military uniform, he looked dignified and upright, which made Lin Su feel a little oppressed.

"It was you last night." Qin Sui said in a firm tone.

Lin Su frowned subconsciously.

Although Qin Sui is good in every aspect, she doesn't want to have anything to do with him because their status is too different.

One is a helpless sickly man, the other is a young and promising deputy head of the regiment, and Qin Sui is more than qualified to be the match for the girl from a wealthy family in the town.

Just treat last night as a ridiculous night.

Thinking of this, Lin Su simply denied: "It's not me."

"I caught Lin Chong." Unexpectedly, Qin Sui suddenly dropped a bomb.

Hearing this, Lin Su looked at him in surprise. After meeting his deep eyes, she hurriedly lowered her eyes to avoid him.

Seeing this, Qin Sui's eyes darkened and he said, "Lin Chong has confessed everything. Don't worry, he will never be able to harm you again."

Lin Su still wanted to take revenge on her own, but she didn't expect Qin Sui to act so quickly.

She was really surprised this time: "What did you do to him?"

"He was sent to labor camp." Qin Sui said in a low voice.

Lin Su let out a regretful "tsk".

Seeing this, Qin Sui raised his eyebrows slightly, and asked with a puzzled and unclear meaning: "Not enough? Do you really want him to die?"

Lin Su avoided answering and changed the subject: "You came to me just to talk about this?"

"One more thing."

"What?"

"Marry me."
