ICE received the handwritten address, folded it up, and put it into her small backpack.
The small backpacks were made by Zheng Lanxiang from scraps of fabric she cut out while making clothes for the children.
Every child has one.
In the living room, the children were gathered around their grandmother watching TV.
They haven't seen it yet; it's a novelty for them.
Jiang Shuyin and Xie Yin sat down to chat.
"With more children, conflicts are bound to arise. Don't you have such troubles when you manage so many people in your clan?"
Xie Yin smiled faintly: "Their desires are very low, which is more in line with what humans call 'slacking off'."
Jiang Shu asked curiously, "Then what is the meaning of your lives?"
Xie Yin cast an admiring glance at him: "We don't know either, so we have never stopped moving forward. Perhaps one day we will find the answer. This is the belief that has not yet died."
Okay, Jiang Shuyin still has many questions.
She now wanted to ask him for parenting advice: "What do you eat? Crystal cores, for example?"
Xie Yin: "Crystal nuclei are junk food. They smell tempting, but eating too much of them will put an unnecessary burden on the body."
The best energy source on Earth is those alien insects, but you can't handle them for now; they are currently multiplying in the Earth's crust.
You can rest well these few days. I'll go find food for the children. We're not just partners, we're parenting buddies.
Xie Yin stayed at her house until the afternoon, and was only left after Zheng Lanxiang dragged him to finish dinner.
After leaving the house, he sank into the ground.
Passing through the uppermost sedimentary rock layer, below are granite and basalt layers. The Earth's crust is mainly composed of silicon and silicon alumina. The alien insects that live in this environment are different from humans.
Humans are carbon-based organisms, and their chemical reactions with oxygen and water are extremely rapid, resulting in very low stability and poor adaptability to the environment.
Conversely, silicon-based organisms, or perhaps silicon-based organisms evolved from carbon-based organisms, are extremely stable and can survive in harsh environments such as high temperature and high pressure in the Earth's crust.
Xie Yin arrived at a hollow part of the Earth's crust. To humans, this place was beautiful, with crystals of various colors sparkling like glass.
What is the source of the underground light?
--fluorite.
A faint light source, refracted by a crystal, allows light resources to be utilized to their fullest potential.
Xie Yin's arrival caused the hatching alien insects to awaken prematurely. Because the chemical reaction of silicon is relatively slow, their movements were also relatively slow.
Remove mimicry.
The Zerg summoned more of their own kind and began to clear out the alien creatures.
Xie Yin floated away from them, the water and oxygen he carried falling towards the alien insects below.
Under the high temperatures of the Earth's crust, silicon-based organisms would melt into a pile of sand upon encountering oxygen.
Once the alien insects had completely melted, Xie Yin easily selected high-quality baby food from their bodies.
Having collected a sufficient number along the way, he also gained a general understanding of the development and civilization of the Zerg.
They move slowly, but have a longer lifespan than humans. Their dense, highly stable crystalline protective shell makes them both beautiful and sturdy.
Although their civilization is not as advanced as that of humans, it is more like an ant colony.
They reproduce quickly, possess the ability to self-evolve, and collect the corpses of their enemies, recording them into their DNA to optimize the next generation.
The next generation can be a copy of them, or it can be a new species that exchanges a string of code between different individuals; these are two different ways of reproduction.
Xie Yin returned to Earth and relayed these new discoveries to Minister Hu.
Minister Hu, who was having dinner with his family, saw the caller's name and immediately ignored his hungry body, turned around and went into his study to answer the call using the recording device.
Upon hearing the news, his expression gradually became serious, but when he learned that this creature actually hated oxygen and water, he felt both amused and exasperated.
In his mind, the one thing the earth has the least shortage of is water.
After ending the phone call, Minister Hu returned to the dinner table, where his wife asked him a question.
Minister Hu waved his hand: "It's nothing, just a false alarm."
Several hours later, Xie Yin came to her room again.
Feed the little ones who haven't gone to sleep yet.
Although the energy inside the insect is not very tasty, it is the best food for the baby to grow.
Jiang Shuyin watched as he sat down on the spot, propping himself up on one leg and opening his palms—
The jade stones made a clanging sound as they struck each other.
The crystals on the floor piled up into a small mountain, and the abundant energy whetted the appetites of the little ones.
Apart from ICE, all the other kids ran towards that small mountain.
Qingwu was the greediest; it rolled up several pieces with its body and lay down to the side to slowly digest them.
Black Plum curiously sensed that the energy within the crystal was continuously flowing into her body through her palm, so comfortably that she wanted to close her eyes and savor it.
......
"Hmm?" Jiang Shuyin stared at the illusory figure surrounding the black plum blossom.
Xie Yin was slightly relieved: "You're growing up a bit."
As Black Plum gradually digested a crystal, her original body and the phantom merged, growing four or five times larger, becoming the size of a newborn, about half a meter tall.
Jiang Shuyin's forehead twitched, and she quickly grabbed a small blanket and went over to wrap her up.
Heimei burst into tears: "The clothes Grandma made for me tore! Waaaaah..."
His voice suddenly became louder, so loud it hurt my ears.
Jiang Shuyin wanted to wipe away non-existent sweat: "Why don't you go and ask your grandma to make you another one?"
Shui Ning's transformation was similar; she was five centimeters taller than her sister, and her waist-length hair reached the ground.
Zheng Lanxiang heard the noise and asked from the living room.
Jiang Shuyin took the two sisters to their maternal grandmother: "Mom, the children's clothes are too worn out. Could you find some of my clothes and alter a couple of outfits for them?"
