Chapter 111 Gently Knocking on Her Window

Xie Yin's words left her speechless for a long time.

Did he detect her brainwaves? Lately, the things he's been saying seem like he's flirting with her.

Xie Yin smiled.

At his signal, Jiang Shu held up a handful of crystals and presented them to ICE.

ICE lowered her eyes and pursed her lips.

This action made him look even more like Avery. Jiang Shuyin waited for him to catch her: "ICE, are you feeling awkward?"

He nodded slightly.

Jiang Shuyin comforted him, "How about this, you can borrow it first, and return it when you grow up and are able to. You are an excellent child, and Mom doesn't want this to hinder your growth."

Perhaps it was Xie Yin's indifference, or perhaps it was the subtle rejection from her siblings, but ICE's inner growth was extremely rapid, which made her feel sorry for her.

In the end, ICE did not stubbornly refuse, just as Jiang Shuyin had thought—he was very clever.

He took all the crystals that were presented to him.

Black Plum and Water Ning can only absorb one at a time, while ICE absorbed three before entering the digestion and growth process.

Half an hour later—

The little house that Jiang Shuyin made for the children collapsed.

ICE grew to a full meter in height and its appearance changed.

He was originally a copy of Avery, but now Jiang Shuyin's genes are also showing on his face.

His skin had become fairer, like a wheat color, and his facial features were no longer as sharp as Avery's.

Jiang Shuyin gave him one of her own clothes to wear, though it was a little too big.

He found a complete outfit for ICE in his wardrobe, his restrained yet unrestrained eyes carrying a hint of wildness.

After stepping back, Jiang Shu admired the scene for a few moments: "Very good. I'll take you out to buy clothes tomorrow."

ICE looked down and then looked up to meet the slightly narrowed, cold eyes.

Xie Yin didn't care about others, but he minded that Jiang Shu's gaze lingered on other people for too long.

ICE lowered his gaze and pointed to the door: "I want to go out and find Grandma."

Jiang Shu nodded.

The children are close to their grandmother, and she is happy to see it.

After ICE left, only Xie Yin, her, and the three growing children remained in the room.

Another long silence followed, with no one speaking to break the atmosphere that was slowly building up to an ambiguous one.

He stared intently at her.

Jiang Shu pinched her fingertip, desperately searching for topics in her mind.

Why don't you look at me? The eyes... are the windows to the soul.

Jiang Shu glanced at him out of the corner of her eye and said, "No, I'm just a little uncomfortable."

Xie Yin reflected: "Perhaps we have had too few opportunities to fight side by side. If you really think about it, there has only been one."

Jiang Shuyin slowly raised her head.

Xie Yin: "But it will be soon. After a few more days of rest, we won't be able to stay idle."

Jiang Shuyin: "You seem to know something inside."

"Yes," Xie Yin said with a smile, "but I can't tell you in advance. Some events will definitely happen at a predetermined time."

After the news broadcast in the living room ended, Zheng Lanxiang brought her three children over:

"Xiaoyin, will the child sleep with you or should I help take care of him? It's nine o'clock and time for bed."

Jiang Shu turned to look at Xie Yin, who smiled knowingly, his smile vanishing like mist.

"Sleep with me, I'll take them to buy some clothes tomorrow."

Zheng Lanxiang: "You can't buy a second-hand one. You're not short of money. Buy a good one for the child. Ask me to go with you tomorrow, or should Xiao Xie go?"

"Hey, how are we going to explain to people that you suddenly had all these kids?"

I was at a loss for what to do.

Jiang Shu laughed: "I had a child with someone outside, let them think what they want."

Zheng Lanxiang asked incredulously, "What about my eldest grandson and the others?"

Jiang Shuyin spread her hands: "I was born using my superpowers."

Zheng Lanxiang was completely exasperated: "I think you're becoming more and more unreliable. Your previous obedient demeanor was all an act."

Jiang Shu's smile deepened: "You're absolutely right about that. Nowadays, people have several faces: one for their elders, relatives, and family; another for their work colleagues and outsiders; and finally, their true face online."

Anyway, she doesn't care about anyone now, she's just being herself.

Only when people are deprived of their freedom can they truly understand themselves. When you realize that you are always locked in a cage made of reinforced concrete, you should understand.

The apocalypse not only unleashed a virus, but also liberated humanity; she would call it a true movement of intellectual awakening.

After saying a few more words, seeing her mother yawn, Jiang Shu nudged her back to her room to sleep.

Leading her three suddenly grown-up children to the bed, Jiang Shuyin, not used to sleeping in the middle, reserved a spot on the edge of the bed in advance, watching the children discuss who would sleep next to her first.

That's really interesting.

Heimei: "I'm the older sister, you guys choose first."

ICE looked cool, but his tone wasn't exactly cold: "Well... can I go first...?"

Shui Ning was only a few days old. She looked around blankly at the people on both sides before her older sister forcibly pressed her down to lie down.

Her bed is 1.8 meters wide, and it's barely cramped enough for one adult and three children to sleep in.

ICE put his hands on his body, and when she saw her looking over, he quickly closed his eyes.

Jiang Shuyin smiled as her long, dark eyelashes fluttered: "I'll go turn off the lights."

After getting out of bed, she did not immediately press the switch.

Walk to the window and pull back the curtains—

The familiar black mist lingered around the window, gently tapping against it.

Jiang Shu chuckled and tapped her fingertips on the window as she replied, "Goodnight."

--good evening.

The peaceful and beautiful night quietly faded away as a star fell into the Milky Way, and the bright sunlight shone on the windowsill.

Before the little ones on the ground had even finished digesting, Fei Tao's body swelled up completely.
