Chapter 167 That must be a big guy

"Attention everyone, our ship has encountered a large sea creature. There may be rough seas and vibrations. Please remain in your cabins and do not venture out. For the latest updates, please listen to the broadcast. (Repeated...)"

Smart people are easy to talk to. Almost immediately after hearing the broadcast, people who were enjoying entertainment and leisure moved to their rooms in an orderly manner. Those who went against them were the superhumans, who needed to go to the upper floors to participate in the self-rescue meeting.

The radar alarm in the cockpit kept going off, like a death knell, making my heart race along with it.

"What exactly happened?" the sweating man asked. "Wasn't it over? Could the incubation period of the virus be longer than we thought?"

“Yes, I heard a strange noise when I passed the cockpit. Can you tell me what it was?” the man sitting next to him chimed in.

Jiang Shuyin and Lison entered through another door. Without any greetings or preamble, Huili, as the captain, cut to the chase and announced the peril they were facing: "Friends, our end is near. A mutated giant shark has already turned us into its toys, and we'll be meeting in as little as fifteen minutes."

"It might greet you very enthusiastically and vigorously."

......

"Bang--"

The ship jolted violently, and under surveillance, the dent in the hull was not deep, but the area was very large.

After Jiang Shuyin steadied herself against the wall, she used her mental power to form a net that would wrap around the hull of the ship. If the giant shark got close, she could scrape off a layer of its skin.

Donnie and the other superhumans stood on the outer railing, looking down at the seabed.

As the depth increases, the water in the deep sea becomes a deep blue color with very low visibility. People who don't often sail at sea are usually frightened when they see the sea.

It's not necessarily the fear of not being able to swim and falling in to drown; it's more likely the unease about unpredictable unknown territories and those terrifying-looking creatures.

Downey's hobby is adventure, and he doesn't have any "thalassophobia". He originally just wanted to try out his useless superpower, but he didn't expect to be pleasantly surprised.

The giant shark with bulging eyes and sharp, dense teeth was right below their boat, its tail and fins moving very little, swimming almost parallel to the boat.

In the cockpit, Huili was puzzled: "What exactly is it trying to do?"

I thought it would be a tough battle, but now that it's not happening, the feeling of having to be on guard all the time is even worse than losing.

Everyone crowded around the screen to watch, and then a dramatic scene unfolded—

The giant shark suddenly turned its head, smashing the camera and infrared device. The ship shook again, and a group of people lost their balance and fell to the ground. Jiang Shu was pulled back several steps before she hit the wall and regained her balance.

Before everyone could stand up, the giant shark launched another series of attacks.

Hyeri shouted, "No—, if this continues, the boat will take on water and sink to the bottom of the sea in less than 30 seconds!"

Jiang Shuyin steeled her resolve, her mental energy piercing through the hull of the ship like a sharp sword, aiming straight for the giant shark's brain, determined to cause chaos and upheaval.

Caught off guard, the giant shark fled to the seabed after being struck, rubbing against the slippery silt and instantly traveling ten kilometers away. Jiang Shuyin's mental power could not control such a distance, and she gradually lost control of the sword.

The giant shark quickly escaped to a distance of 20km.

This mutated giant shark has developed intelligence. If we don't kill it now, it will eventually come back and kill us.

Jiang Shuyin frowned: "It runs too fast."

The system huffed and puffed: If it weren't for the limitations of technology, it would have blasted this sea flat long ago, instead of letting its host suffer this injustice.

Every host of the raising system is someone who needs to be cared for!

The radar alarm blared for several hours, then suddenly went silent, leaving everyone unaccustomed to the silence.

"The giant shark has just run away; it will probably come back."

Hyeri's thick eyebrows furrowed together: "Let's speed up and move forward, there isn't even a small island around here."

Everyone agreed.

Huili and his crew worked together to find a way to increase the ship's speed to the maximum. Just then, Jiang Shuyin felt a light tap on her shoulder: "Come out for a meeting."

She did nothing all day. After a false alarm, she attended several meetings that were not very meaningful. It was 10 p.m. before Jiang Shuyin finally went back to her room and lay down.

I can't fall asleep with my eyes closed, and I can't fall asleep even when I'm lying on my stomach.

She got out of bed barefoot, opened the balcony door, and the sea breeze outside lifted her skirt.

Facing the sea, Jiang Shuyin leaned on her elbow and watched quietly.

The moonlight cast a hazy glow. The seawater is a natural protective shield for marine life. As long as they don't leap out of the water, they won't be absorbed by the moon. Jiang Shuyin closed her eyes and used the third eye in her mind to see the world in the night.

She heard the cabin alarm suddenly go off, but only for a moment before stopping.

It seemed like it was just her imagination.

Jiang Shuyin opened her eyes, lowered her gaze, and remained silent for a moment, her fingers constantly rubbing together.

At three in the morning, almost everyone on the ship was asleep except for the crew on night duty.

Suddenly someone started shouting, waking up the people in the duty room. They got up cursing and swearing, which then triggered a series of commotions, and most of the crew members were awake.

Everyone stared at the things that had just been pulled from the ship's deck, looking at each other in bewilderment.

Hyeri plucked a few strands of his beard, grinned, and beckoned to his assistant, "Go and ask Jiang to come down."

The assistant nodded and ran off.

After finding the room, I knocked on the door for a long time but heard no response: "Strange, is he sleeping so soundly?"

She rang the doorbell a few more times, a bad feeling creeping over her: "Could something have happened?"

Huili had no choice but to wake Lison up: "Jiang is one of your people too. She hasn't made a sound in the room, and we're worried that something might have happened to her."

Lison had the key, so he knocked twice symbolically and then unlocked the door with the key.

Even after turning the knob, the door still wouldn't open.

Suddenly realizing something, Lison felt a chill run down his spine and took a few steps back: "There's something behind the door, blocking it."

When Fushit came out rubbing his eyes, he saw Lisen faint from fright, his legs went weak, and he fell to the ground.

"careful!"

The scene became chaotic for a moment.

After sending Lisson back to his room to rest, Fuchte took over the matter. After listening to Huili's brief explanation, he thought for a moment.

He cleared his throat and respectfully called inside, "Hello, if you are Jiang's friend or will not harm her, please knock twice to let us know, okay?"

Hyeri rolled her eyes: What the hell? Did he think it was a paranormal event?

Just as everyone was beginning to have doubts, the door suddenly slammed shut twice, the sound muffled.

Fushit bowed respectfully, appearing calm and composed, but in reality, his mind was in turmoil. He walked faster and faster, quickly returning to his room and closing the door.

First, he knocked on the door twice with a single knuckle, then slapped it twice with his palm; the former sounded crisp, while the latter was dull.

Fushit guessed that it must be a big one.
