Chapter 191 The Seventh Prison

Jiang Shu led the way in and saw Xing Zhengfei standing in the encirclement, his clothes covered in blood.

Ignoring those excited and eerie eyes, the child's face could be described as handsome yet sinister.

His skin was pale, and the bloodstains on his cheeks were smeared like blush.

Xing Zhengfei was a little nervous, and took long strides to stand in front of her.

The crowd quickly shifted, and Jiang Shu's back was now completely exposed, meaning that every move the two made would be captured by the onlookers.

He spoke slowly, "Mom."

Jiang Shu glared at him: "Don't call me that. Why are you back?"

Xing Zhengfei clutched a piece of cloth in his palm and pulled it down: "It's Chinese New Year, everyone is going home, and I also want to go home to see my parents."

Jiang Shuyin: "...You've beaten up so many people, they won't let you go."

Xing Zhengfei understood: "I knew what I was doing; I didn't kill anyone."

He also knew a saying: "Good people don't live long, but evil people live for a thousand years."

His hazy memories told him that he could never be a good person in this life.

Jiang Shuyin had some things she couldn't say to him here, so she picked out what she could say: "This matter can't be blown out of proportion. Have you thought about how to handle this?"

Xing Zhengfei shook his head.

"Then listen to me, let them take you into custody for now, but only temporarily."

If we let him continue making a scene, it will alarm the provincial authorities, and the more people pay attention, the more trouble it will cause.

Xing Zhengfei nodded.

Jiang Shuyin glanced at the congealed blood on his hand: "Listen to me now, pretend you've been injured by me, and then pass out."

Xing Zhengfei: "Okay." He recalled the person he had knocked unconscious at the beginning; it seemed that all it took was for the head to tilt and the eyes to close.

Jiang Shu led him backward, and Xing Zhengfei raised his head to carefully discern her movements.

To outsiders, this looked like things were about to get serious, and they were all worried for her.

Xing Zhengfei loosened his grip on the damp corner of his clothes and charged forward. Jiang Shu dodged by tilting her head and then retaliated with a flick of her wrist.

The two exchanged blows, fighting fiercely.

Jiang Shuyin, fearing that if this went on for too long, someone would notice something amiss, let out a cold snort, and Xing Zhengfei immediately covered his head.

Suddenly, Jiang Shuyin swiftly attacked his head.

Xing Zhengfei pretended to be outmatched, using some of the force to fly more than ten meters away, knocking down several people who couldn't get out of the way in time, and crashing heavily to the floor.

Everyone's feet trembled, and they stared wide-eyed at the person lying down over there.

The dust has settled.

Xing Zhengfei was hooded, his hands were twisted behind his back and handcuffed, and his feet were chained. He was escorted by a special task force.

Jiang Shuyin also got into the escort vehicle and sat next to Xing Zhengfei.

The scent emanating from her would make Xing Zhengfei stay put.

Jiang Shuyin took the initiative to ask, "Where should we send this person? A regular prison can't hold him."

The captain was on his phone, talking to the minister: "He hasn't replied yet. Maybe we should put him in solitary confinement and keep an eye on him in shifts."

The members of the task force are inherently proud and unwilling to do anything that is thankless.

Jiang Shuyin remained silent, her mind wandering.

Minister Hu was also worried as he parked his car downstairs at the Department of Supernatural Abilities.

Fortunately, the situation was brought under control. When the higher-ups found out about this, they scolded him for not recruiting him sooner and for letting such a powerful superhuman be led astray.

"Fuck you, what the hell is this got to do with me? Bao Zhengxiong, you bastard!" Minister Hu cursed while holding his phone.

He was so angry he couldn't sit still and paced back and forth in the office: "You come and take this person away. I'm not capable enough. You said it yourself, you have to take this person with you, or I'll have someone send him home."

Bao Zhengxiong works in the provincial-level department for people with special abilities, and is Minister Hu's direct superior. When he encounters a troublemaker, he can only grit his teeth and swallow his anger.

"Here's what we'll do: send him to the Seventh Provincial Prison and let's get through the New Year first."

This prison houses criminals sentenced to 15 years or more in prison, life imprisonment, or death with a reprieve; it is a high-security prison.

Pick any one of them and you'll find a horrifying backstory. The buildings where they are held are also the most secure. Prison No. 7 was renovated two years ago. With the advancement of technology, the difficulty of escaping is constantly increasing. Since its establishment, there has never been a case of any criminal escaping.

Many of the criminals here were transferred from other places, and Jiang Shuyin was worried that Xing Zhengfei would go astray here.

Before Xing Zhengfei went in, he was told in front of everyone: "Don't learn bad things from the people inside after you go in. Don't believe anything others say."

The others looked at her with suspicion.

The task force leader asked thoughtfully, "Why are you telling him this? Are you two close?"

Jiang Shuyin replied without changing her expression, "He is an ability user. What if he listens to those people after going in and causes even more trouble? He may not listen to what I say, but if I tell him that he knows about this, the risk might be smaller."

The captain turned around and saw that Xing Zhengfei had been looking down since he woke up, seemingly lost in thought. He felt that Jiang Shuyin's words made sense, so he went over and said something similar to Xing Zhengfei.

Xing Zhengfei sneered, turned his body to the side, and before he could say anything, a prison guard who came out of the prison took him inside.

The captain's anger vanished instantly. He turned around and saw the bright white light outside the door contrasting sharply with the dim light inside, as if it were the difference between heaven and hell.

What a pity.

Those who were once powerful superhumans could now live a very successful life outside, but they will probably be imprisoned for life.

Jiang Shu led him into the car, counting down the days until the New Year. She wondered if Xing Zhengfei had figured out the hand gestures she had just made to him.

The four fingers are a way of telling him to go home in four days to celebrate the New Year.

Xing Zhengfei touched it, but didn't understand what it meant.
