It was another early morning. The wind in the Tibetan region was bitterly cold, but the grasslands were still as green as in summer.
It took Ace two days to finally confirm that no one was inside the tent.
The daytime patrols almost never came to the tents, and Ace couldn't figure out why, but it was a good thing for him.
Taking advantage of the handover between the return patrol teams, he quickly hid behind the tent, giving him plenty of room and time to maneuver.
Sharp icicles formed on his hands, which he used to forcefully scratch the tarpaulin, leaving it intact.
Ace frowned, exerting all his strength in his hand, but it was still the same.
The seemingly simple tent is actually the most technologically advanced item in the Shule tribe. It was invented by Aifuri's grandfather and given to his grandson on his first birthday.
It also uses newly developed space technology, state transformation and other high-tech features, including but not limited to scaling, deformation, and super protective shield.
In fact, the moment Ace approached, the hidden camera on the tent captured his image and quickly projected it into Avery's computer, which also sounded an alarm when he was attacked by the ice spikes.
Avery's personal computer beeped, and only then did he turn it on.
The moment Avery saw the video, he recognized it as his child!
Long Ying sat to the left of the boss and saw him suddenly tremble with excitement, even crushing the alloy thermos cup in his hand.
As she stared at it, she wondered to herself: What is this?
The boy in the video has eyebrows and eyes that look very much like hers, and his skin color is probably from hers. He is holding an ice pick and trying hard to open the tent.
Looking at his focused expression, Avery didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
"Boss? Boss?" Long Ying shouted loudly.
Everyone else in the meeting room was wondering what the boss had seen. Had some technical problem been solved? But after the last theoretical success in space technology, the boss had only rolled his eyes.
Hearing her voice, Avery realized that they were still in a meeting, and said with a sigh, "Everyone, please leave. Long Ying will be in charge of the company's affairs for the time being. I need to go back to my hometown."
The people on the scene looked at each other in bewilderment. Had the boss's old house caught fire? Wouldn't this affect the company's future development? Good jobs are hard to find these days, especially jobs with weekends off; that's like finding gold in the ocean.
Long Ying was also completely bewildered, never expecting her five-year plan to suddenly come true.
She still vividly remembered her boss's previous attitude. If it weren't for Pei Yi, she could have become CEO long ago. But Pei Yi had gone completely mad for some reason. He would fight desperately against anything that was not in his favor, let alone let him leave the company.
The incident happened suddenly, but Long Ying was prepared. She still needed to go to the office to confirm the direction of the business she was about to discuss with her boss.
As soon as I reached the door, I saw the owner had changed into a shuler outfit with a strong ethnic style. He had a white cloth on his head, which was fixed with a dark blue ring. He was wearing a white robe made of a special seamless material that reached up to his shoes. When he walked, he looked as if he was about to ride the wind and go home.
Long Ying was taken aback for a moment, then quickly followed: "Boss, what time did you buy your plane ticket? Would you like to order food in the VIP lounge?"
Avery was in a hurry and wouldn't wait for anyone to fly with him: "No need, I'll fly back myself."
His flight route home had been approved long ago and was ready to be used at any time. The aircraft did not require a key; it was unlocked by a password. If he forgot the password, he would have to disassemble the aircraft and reinstall the controller.
Avery wasn't worried about the aircraft being stolen; the password was very simple: the day his child was born.
"Password authentication successful, unlocked."
Avery clicked the ejection button, and the aircraft was launched with an initial speed of 332 km/h. A dark shadow shot out from the building of the southern base and disappeared into the sky in less than a second.
The spacecraft's acceleration is beyond Earth's comprehension level; it is a new generation of spacecraft, capable of circling the Earth in less than an hour, and will land shortly after takeoff.
Afraid of disturbing the little guy, Avery changed the destination to next to the dome. When he came out of the cockpit, a group of people spontaneously gathered around him, including members of the Shuler tribe and outsiders.
I would normally be more patient with Aifuli, but I'm not interested now.
He gave the patrol team a look, and they understood, pushing the crowd aside to make way.
However, a few people jumped up and pointed a microphone at him, saying, "Avery, have you considered developing your career in Country A? Our offers are three times higher than those in Country Z, and there are no restrictions..." Before he could finish speaking, he was knocked unconscious and dragged away by a reporter from Country Z.
A petite girl emerged from under the guard's arm, a press pass hanging around her neck, and looked at Avery shyly: "Brother, may I ask you a question?"
The guard hesitated, unsure whether to stop the woman.
Avery stopped in his tracks: "How did you know my son was coming back today?"
"Huh?" The girl's eyes widened as she looked at the others, all of whom wore expressions of shock.
Avery raised his chin, gesturing for the stunned guard to come and pull the girl away. The girl hadn't fully reacted yet, and only after being pulled by the guard did she come to her senses and shout, "Young Master Avery, would you mind revealing who your son's mother is?"
“Our young master’s surname is not Ai,” the guard who was blocking her way said quietly.
The girl's eyes lit up, sensing that he must know something: "Then do you know who the child's mother is?"
This wasn't exactly a secret to Schuler, and there was no order from above not to disclose it: "She was the only prisoner we captured who escaped."
To be honest, the guard was somewhat impressed.
The girl seemed to be deep in thought. With this answer in mind, she quickly went back and first published an explosive news article about the son of the young master Shule, and then applied to investigate news from Tibet over the past year.
During the family gathering, Avery kept his eyes glued to the quantum computer the entire time.
To reassure his son, he had the tent simulate cracks made by icicles, making it difficult to detect the fakeness both visually and tactilely.
Seeing the little guy's perseverance, Avery liked him more and more; he looked just like her and him.
Gu Xiao and another woman with a pregnant belly sat on either side of Elikun, both of them somewhat absent-minded.
Elikun thought she was afraid of Avery, so he patted her hand to comfort her: "I'll ask him to stay later and talk to him."
The kitchen served some grilled meat, and Avery ate some before planning to pack it up to take home.
Eliquin called him back: "Come find me later, I have something to tell you."
Avery didn't listen; he was determined to go back and "catch" the little guy. He didn't want to tell his father yet and would wait until he got the child's opinion before making any plans.
On the other side, Ace looked up at the gradually darkening sky, realizing that the project he was working on wouldn't be finished anytime soon, so he stood up and stretched.
The yurt is unusually lively today; I wonder what kind of event is taking place.
Ace smelled the aroma of meat and felt hungry again.
Lost in thought, Ace gazed into the distance and saw a person in white robes emerge and head towards him. His spirits lifted, and without a second thought, he ran.
