Chapter 210 The Power of Women

What are you looking at and laughing like that?

The father and son had only spent two days together, but they were already joking around with each other. Ever since the cheerful ringtone of his phone rang, the son had been grinning like an idiot for ages.

Ace quickly composed himself, his expression returning to its usual calm: "It's nothing."

"You're not in love, are you? Tell me who it is, and I'll snatch her away for you, to be your child bride for now." Avery stood up, looking as if he would immediately get ready to go if his son waved his hand.

Ace put down his phone: "You're overthinking it."

With his head-mounted supercomputer on, he didn't have time for boring romances; he had a lot to learn and was busy.

Avery's words were automatically blocked out by the outside world, and he didn't mind.

Now, he couldn't wait to see his father's expression when he heard that he was going to be a grandfather. He wanted to give his father a heads-up before he went over. The old man was just like his mother said, still acting like a sexually frustrated teddy bear at his age. He had shown him real-life action movies several times.

Fortunately, he inherited his mother's low desire level.

Eric Quinn was indeed burning with lust. Men can separate love and sex. He gave it to Gu Xiao'ai and sex to another woman who could withstand his savagery, but he didn't expect that both of them would get pregnant.

He promised Gu Xiao he wouldn't touch other women anymore, but after two months of being single, he couldn't help but thrust even in his dreams.

So one day, his servant, who was there to help his master, brought him two men with good speaking skills. He couldn't refuse, thinking: This doesn't mean I'm going against my lover's wishes.

At the crucial moment, the phone rang.

"Damn it!"

Private calls can only be for emergencies, and Eliquin swore that if the call wasn't important afterward, he would definitely break the man's legs.

Caller ID: Little Ice Cube.

Eliquin's flushed face softened considerably: "You'd better have something to do."

The words, squeezed out from between his teeth, were chilling.

Avery laughed: "Big news! You have a grandson, you're going to be a grandfather! The child who was lost before has returned!"

Eliquin frowned instinctively: "What? Say it again?"

Avery was extremely patient this time. After repeating himself, Eliquin paused for a few seconds and said, "Come back in half an hour."

He hung up the phone, closed his eyes, and urged the person between his legs to hurry up.

Half an hour? Avery shook his head; this was not his father's former strength.

Seeing the dark shadows emerging from the lake, he remembered that he hadn't fed the fish for two days, so he went to the kitchen to ask Uncle Francis for some meat.

Francis pulled him aside to talk: "Growing taller again? You've been eating quite a lot lately?"

Since that dinner, the young master has been ordering so many dishes at every meal, which worries him greatly, as overeating is not good for his health.

Avery put his index finger to his lips: "You'll find out soon enough, and you'll be happy for me. I'm about to become an elder."

Francis: "......"

He could tell that the young master was still just a child.

Having successfully collected a bucket of meat, Avery carried it to the lake, whistling, "Whoa—"

A dark shadow leaped out of the lake, its massive body casting a huge shadow as it attacked the people on the shore.

Avery opened his palm, conjured an ice ball, and hurled it at the giant fish. The giant fish adjusted its body and swung its tail, sending the fish flying.

The ice hockey puck was slammed into the stone wall by the force, and the fish, having lost some of its strength, fell into the water, splashing several meters high.

After playing a ball-bouncing game, the pet was willing to eat obediently.

Avery threw the pieces of meat from the bucket into the air one by one. Other fish came to snatch them, but they were all swatted away by the giant fish. Some were stranded on the shore, while others were flung to the other side of the lake. Not a single piece of meat escaped the giant fish's belly.

"Come here and explain yourself."

A man whose mood has been interrupted is just as bad as a resentful woman. In front of his own son, Eliquin transforms from a powerful, emotionless ruler into a father who might explode at any moment.

Even if it's been said twice before, hearing it again in person brings a different feeling.

Suppressing the complex emotions in his heart, Elikun asked, "The paternity test was done, right? Where is the child?"

“It’s obviously one of ours.” Avery raised an eyebrow.

Seeing that his father was about to get angry, he quickly tried to smooth things over: "The test results have been done, and I'll send them to you later. The child is now studying on his personal computer, saying he wants to bridge the gap between Earth and Schuler."

A smile appeared in Eliquin's eyes, and he praised without reservation: "He's a good boy. Let someone calculate the auspicious date so he can be recognized as a member of the family soon."

Then he asked, "What are your plans, child's mother?"

Avery, hands in his pockets, said, "You can't just send me away when I come with the kids, can you?"

Elikun scoffed and told him to get lost.

This wasn't kept from Gu Xiao either. After hearing it, Gu Xiao stopped laughing. Her former teammates had escaped without taking her with them, and she had always held a grudge about it.

If no one brings it up, she can keep it to herself and not complain.

But now? With the scars in her heart reopened, Gu Xiao's pent-up hatred has been transferred to Jiang Shuyin and Ace, and she has even come to hate Avery, the young master.

Women's strength is often the easiest to overlook, but it can always play a role in unexpected ways, and Gu Xiao also started whispering in her ear.

Once or twice, Eliquin thought she was just worrying unnecessarily, but over time, the seed was planted.

After the Lunar New Year, Huang Li's due date was the seventeenth day of the first lunar month.

The farm work wasn't as intense as it had been recently, so Jiang Jianli took a day off to accompany her to the hospital for a checkup.

Fortunately, we arrived in time. The amniotic fluid was too low. After showing the doctor the examination report, we were told to prepare for a C-section. The doctor quickly typed on the keyboard, printed out the form, and had us sign it.

After hurriedly paying the fees, before I could even settle down in the ward, they came to tell Huang Li to go to the operating room.

The operating room was really cold. I had to take off all my clothes and pants. After the anesthesia was administered, I was conscious, but I couldn't move below my armpits. It wasn't that I had no feeling at all; I could feel the numbness, the swelling, and my abdomen being pulled apart.

Huang Li was afraid of dying and also afraid of becoming ugly. She cried when she thought about the stretch marks on her belly.

The anesthesiologist thought something was wrong, came over to ask, and seeing that she didn't speak, guessed the reason and sat back down.

At 11:34 a.m., the cry of a baby was heard.

The doctor wiped away the vernix caseosa from the newborn's face and asked Huang Li to examine him: "Five fingers, five on both hands, and five on each toe..."

Huang Li glanced between the child's legs and felt relieved.
