Chapter 22: Mission to Hangzhou

Xie Yin stared calmly ahead: "There's a bracelet in the storage compartment on the seat. Wear it and you can see our mission. Now you're my partner, and we're going to Hangzhou to complete a B-level mission."

Hangzhou?

Jiang Shu raised her voice: "Then that won't do either. I need to go back. Take me home first so I can let my family know. I still have some things I haven't taken."

Xie Yin glanced at her, confirming that she wasn't joking.

The rearview mirrors showed no cars behind, so I didn't release the accelerator. I turned the steering wheel all the way to the left, and a sharp, piercing screeching sound rang out. A black tire track was left on the ground. As soon as the car straightened, it sped back at full speed.

Jiang Shu felt a churning in her stomach, wishing she could immediately vomit everything she had eaten that morning in the car.

By the time he stopped, he had already returned to the entrance of the residential area.

Jiang Shuyin leaned back in the car seat, like a fish out of water struggling to breathe.

Xie Yin turned his head, his bangs parted in the middle by the wind, but it didn't diminish his cold and aloof demeanor: "Why do you feel uncomfortable?"

Jiang Shuyin covered her forehead, feeling chilled by the wind: "It's too fast, I get carsick. Can you be a little more steady? This isn't a fighter jet, nor is it a super race car."

"I'm not your older brother." Xie Yin frowned. "I'll play it safe later."

Jiang Shuyin dragged her heavy steps back. Zheng Lanxiang was mopping the floor. When she saw her return, she straightened up and put her hand on the mop handle: "What did you forget? You're always so forgetful. You're not a child anymore."

"You look so pale, what happened?" Zheng Lanxiang then noticed her pale face.

Jiang Shuyin wanted to go back to her room to pack her things, and then took out half of the food she had stored and left it at home: "I'm going to Hangzhou on a business trip. I should be back in half a month. I'm going on a mission with my friend. Tell Dad that I'm leaving now and I'll pack some clothes to take with me when I get back."

The news was too sudden; Zheng Lanxiang was not mentally prepared for her daughter to go on a long trip.

He dropped the mop and followed her to her room: "Can't you not go? You're a girl, are your friends male or female?"

Jiang Shu sighed, "Mom, things are so chaotic outside. With Dad and me here, you can stay home and hold the line. It's better than anything else to give us the thought of coming home. We must complete the tasks assigned by our superiors. It's not about showing off, but about duty and responsibility. Only when millions of people unite can society develop stably and ordinary people have a space to survive."

Zheng Lanxiang was speechless after hearing this profound talk about principles and patriotism. She silently helped her find something she could take with her and use.

"What is this?" Zheng Lanxiang picked up an egg, which felt quite heavy in her hand. "Is it made of iron?"

Jiang Shuyin looked over, quickly reached out and took it, putting it in her pocket: "It was a gift from my friend, the outside is iron."

Zheng Lanxiang shook her head helplessly; the child wasn't grown up yet.

After filling the storage room with grain, Jiang Shuyin was about to officially leave home for an adventure.

Zheng Lanxiang was looking out the window when Jiang Shuyin turned around, smiled, and waved at her.

Back in the car, she saw that Xie Yin was holding a phone that looked exactly like hers. Upon closer inspection, she realized it was hers.

What are you doing with my phone?

Xie Yin shifted his gaze from her face to behind her: "Someone called, kept calling, so I answered it for you and told them you were home."

"Then what?"

"Then he asked me if I repaired phones, and I said no, and he hung up."

Jiang Shuyin: "......"

She took the phone and saw that it was Zhao Quanzhou calling. She immediately added him to her blacklist: "You did a good deed, but you can't touch my phone like that again."

The vehicle started again, and this time its speed remained above 100 km/h. When it got to the highway, there weren't many cars, so it sped up to 140 mph. On the highway, the road appears straight and wide to the naked eye, so the sense of speed is not obvious.

But seeing one car after another drop from the front to the back and then disappear, Jiang Shu looked at the dashboard.

220 mph.

"Why are you driving so fast? There are electronic cameras checking." Jiang Shuyin felt her life was threatened. She gripped the handlebars tightly with one hand and the seatbelt with the other, sweat beading on her forehead.

Xie Yin glanced upwards and said, "We're on a mission, it's a special situation, please trust my driving skills."

Jiang Shuyin's teeth were chattering: "But weren't you practicing driving just yesterday?"

Xie Yin paused for a moment: "Once I get used to it, there aren't many cars on the road, so I slow down when I encounter a car."

As long as she didn't look at the dashboard, she didn't feel that fast. Jiang Shu had been on edge for a while, and she was in so much pain last night that she couldn't sleep. Now that she was relaxed, she fell asleep.

Seeing that everyone was asleep, Xie Yin smiled and said, "Mom is asleep, come to Dad."

The little one popped out from the hair behind Jiang Shu's neck, swayed in the air a few times, and Xie Yin took a moment to look at it: "What's there?"

Baby: Egg!

Xie Yin freed one hand and reached over her body, feeling an oval-shaped hard object. He pulled it out and took a look.

"Oh~" Xie Yin put it directly into his clothes, secured by the seatbelt so it wouldn't fall out: "Daddy will teach you how to drive now. This is the steering wheel; you control the tires to turn the wheel and move the direction..."

While asleep, Jiang Shuyin did not hear the system's notification.

[The second baby has begun hatching; you are now rewarded with the ability to view other players' information.]

[The second cub's incubation target: Black Mist.]

Current status: Incubating, estimated time 36 hours.

Jiang Shuyin slept for eight hours. When she woke up, the car was still moving, and her phone had more than a dozen messages.

They were all text messages sent by local mobile carriers, saying things like "Welcome to Nancheng."

So where are we now?

She looked out the window; the leaves were lush, and the green belt in the middle was planted with palm-sized rose bushes, which really tested one's qualities.

"We're almost there, only 30 kilometers left. Let's grab something to eat at the Xiaoshan service area." Xie Yin also needed to eat; he sensed his prey ahead.

Jiang Shuyin had a stiff neck from sleeping, and when she turned her head, she gasped in pain.

Fifteen minutes later, the car slowed down to fifty miles per hour and entered the parking lot. The cars were parked haphazardly, and there were snacks scattered on the ground. The surroundings were unusually quiet.

Xie Yin parked his car directly in front of the service area supermarket, which surprised Jiang Shu: "This is not a parking area."

Xie Yin: "No one's watching. The target is inside. Be careful."

Jiang Shu felt a tightness in her throat. What kind of monster was this?

Xie Yin walked in, glancing sideways but not seeing the person trembling in the corner. The person's eyes were filled with terror, and they covered their mouth, not daring to make a sound, shaking their head desperately at him.

"despair"

"Tap tap"

The man's terrified eyes turned into despair.

Xie Yin ignored the people around him and walked toward the source of the sound.

Jiang Shuyin was still outside when she noticed the little one in the car: "You're here too. Are you reluctant to leave your mother?"

"Okay, I can't bear to part with my baby either."

The baby broke free from her outstretched arms and dashed behind her. Jiang Shuyin turned her head in confusion, her pupils suddenly widening in shock!
