Nona followed Xing Zhengfei all the way and knew his capabilities. She smiled coldly and kept a close eye on them.
Seeing that she was unwilling to let him go, Dr. Ai figured that he would be found in three days at most, so he wasn't in a hurry and sat down to continue his theoretical verification.
Not long after, a black dot appeared in the sky. As it descended, the black dot gradually grew larger. When it landed on the ground, the dust on the ground was affected and flew up two zhang (approximately 6.6 meters) high.
Dr. Ai and the others stood up, looking disheveled and wide-eyed, their eyes filled with fervor: "You're actually alright? My God, tell me, where did you go? Where's the spaceship?"
Xing Zhengfei patted his handsome trench coat; it was the only piece of clothing his mother had bought for him that was left.
After brushing off the dust, he pointed upwards and said, "It hit a meteorite and became space debris."
Dr. Ai felt a pang of heartache, but then urged him to conduct a second test flight, repeatedly instructing him on the essentials of piloting the spacecraft. Xing Zhengfei had experience before and successfully piloted the spacecraft in the stratosphere. He slowly pushed the speed lever up and eventually escaped Earth's gravity, heading into space once again. This time, he successfully avoided meteorites and obstacles, turning around and flying back.
The landing process was fraught with difficulties, and speed control was a major challenge. They narrowly missed each other countless times, but ultimately failed. Xing Zhengfei simply threw the equipment into space and flew down himself.
After Dr. Ai pulled him aside to ask questions, he decided to give him fine motor skills training. He gave him a lever and had him control it at a constant speed, moving it only one millimeter per second. He then turned around and had Nona take them back to the laboratory to modify the spaceship's gear lever, dividing it into eighteen precise gears.
The third flight took place just as the army of Country A found them, the same day Xing Zhengfei successfully completed his first manned test flight.
Facing numerous soldiers and multiple blockades, Dr. Ai's team boarded the spaceship, broke through the air defenses, and soared into the blue sky.
The speed was so fast that the people inside the cabin could not think, their brain contents were compressed. Just as they were adapting, Xing Zhengfei stopped and slowly landed on an isolated island in the Pacific Ocean.
