Chapter 249 Shark Breed

The locations of fish and shrimp are not fixed.

Baoping hadn't expected to find bluefin tuna; he was lucky if there were any small fish or shrimp in this remote place.

He was used to being out alone, and as he searched, he forgot that someone was waiting for him.

After solving her own hunger problem, she was about to leave when she suddenly remembered her younger brother, and almost dropped her pearl in her haste.

I dived into the deep sea to head back, and only felt relieved after catching a small fish weighing three pounds. I pulled a few strands of seaweed, threaded them through the fish's gills, held it in my hand, and swam back with all my might.

Lord Sea God, Baoping has a very, very small wish: I hope my younger brother isn't angry. Please grant my request.

Back at the original spot, I didn't see my younger brother in the sea.

I panicked completely.

One by one, the mermaid pearls fell to the bottom of the sea: "Brother... Zixin... I've lost my new brother..."

The little mermaid was crying so hard she could barely breathe. Xing Zhengfei, who was above, heard the commotion and lightly touched the sea surface with his toes, creating ripples: "What are you crying about?"

"You! You didn't leave? Waaah, that's great! I'm so sorry, I've been gone for too long." Baoping eagerly presented the fish in his hands: "This is the fish I brought for you, please forgive me."

Xing Zhengfei said coldly, "I won't forgive you. Lead the way, you're wasting time."

Bao Ping nodded repeatedly. He didn't throw the fish away, but held it in the hand he had been holding his younger brother's. Xing Zhengfei flew on the sea, his speed not much different from that of the merman.

There was no time to talk the whole way. Whenever Baoping tried to speak, Xing Zhengfei would speed up and widen the distance between them.

They traveled as if they were having a tiff, and ended up arriving at the tribe's territory ahead of schedule, at night.

Baoping secretly slipped into the clan's territory with his younger brother who was swimming.

Fortunately, the three brothers were not well-liked by the merfolk, and their home was built on the edge of their tribe.

It's nighttime now, so no mermaids will notice the presence of humans.

The three brothers, inspired by human dwellings, transformed the caves where merfolk lived into exquisite houses with only three rooms, shaped like the Chinese character "山" (mountain). The living room at the entrance served as the space for the three brothers to eat and talk.

Baoping walked to the door, heard the voices inside, and gestured to the person behind him to be quiet.

"Meng Shen came to me during the day and asked you to design a castle for the princess to rest in."

"Let her dream on, I'm not giving it to her."

“Meng Shen is a good person; she has never bullied us.”

"She's a fool. Should we give her the Champs-Élysées and Hehua if we make her a house? Brother, I don't want to do anything that's too much of a hassle."

Baoping's initial excitement gradually subsided. After hesitating for a moment, he still raised his hand and knocked on the door: "I'm back."

The sounds inside immediately stopped.

Changji came over and opened the door for him, only revealing a crack in the door: "I haven't seen you for several days."

Baoping pushed the door open completely: "I brought people back."

Changji's pupils trembled as his gaze traveled from top to bottom, finally settling on the legs that were spread apart even in the water: "It really is a person..."

Since Xin was young and lacked self-control, he ran to the door and stared wide-eyed, a few bubbles rolling down his cheeks.

"You're blocking the door because you don't want me to come in, right?" Xing Zhengfei smiled wickedly.

Changji's hands, hanging limply at his sides, tightened as he awkwardly stepped aside: "Excuse me, please...please come in."

Zi Xin pursed her lips, only stepping aside halfway, her gaze remaining as cold as ever.

Baoping walked in: "This is our home. Isn't it beautiful? Let me introduce you. This is our eldest brother, Changji. He has a very good temper. I am the second brother, Baoping. I like adventure. The third brother is Zixin. He's very smart, hehe. And you?"

Xing Zhengfei had slept in desolate wilderness, cold basements, and spacious warehouses, so he had no right to be picky about this cozy little house. He sat down on the sofa, his backside practically soaked with water. Mermaids liked this feeling, but Xing Zhengfei stood up with disgust.

He pinched his pants and frowned: "Xing Zhengfei is the eighth child in his family."

He looked up with a wicked smile, paused for a moment, and said, "But I'm wicked, especially fond of doing bad things."

Changji's gentle face was blank with a dazed expression: "..."

Bao Ping sighed, "..."

Zi Xin seemed lost in thought: "..."

"What? You hate bad guys?" Xing Zhengfei was just looking for trouble. His red eyes widened instantly, and he was filled with hostility.

Changji waved his hands repeatedly and chuckled dryly, "No, no, we like you no matter what."

Let's appease him for now. I wonder why my second brother brought this person back.

Seeing that he was indeed good-natured, Xing Zhengfei's eyes flickered, and he asked, "How are you all doing?"

Changji continued with a dry laugh: "It's fine."

Baoping hesitated and said, "Besides being bullied by my sister and being shunned by my clansmen, that's all."

Born with heightened sensitivity, he retorted, "Who are you?"

Baoping was stunned, then quickly interjected, "He is our younger brother, our brother from the same mother."

Changji and Zixin were both stunned.

Xing Zhengfei nodded. From what they said, things weren't going well for them. He picked up his phone and called his mother to tell her the truth, and then told the three fish, "Your mother will come to see you in a while."

The three brothers seemed to have been hit by a meteorite falling from the sky, and for a moment they didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

"Really?"

Xing Zhengfei was too lazy to answer such a pointless question; he had clearly heard everything just now.

Zixin replied, "I heard it. If he's not lying to us, then it's true."

That night, none of the four brothers slept.

When the merman started coaxing people, even the mutants couldn't stand it. Xing Zhengfei talked from dusk till dawn, revealing all his secrets.

Changji's eyes crinkled into crescents, his blue hair flowed like gauze, and his lips were as sweet as honey: "Little brother is so amazing. He knows so much about what's going on outside and is still willing to tell us. We're so grateful. Let me sing you another song..."
