Avery was certain that this was the egg he and Jiang Shu had created, containing the new generation that had come to Earth. He wanted to tell his father about this surprise.

Jiang Shu nodded, a chill running down her spine.

That night, Jiang Shuyin turned off the lights and went to bed early, turning her back to avoid looking at the person behind her.
