A person completely covered up except for their eyes emerged from the alley ahead, staring intently at a group of people riding horses down the street.
Judging from his physique, he should be a man.
Many more people dressed similarly to him emerged from behind him, their expressions not friendly, but rather fearful.
Li Tie instinctively gripped the knife hilt, his muscles tensing, ready to defend himself at any moment.
Xie Fu's gaze swept over the group of people, but he did not see that familiar slender figure. His heart sank lower and lower.

Xie Fu, not wanting to waste time with them, took the lead and said, "Search."
The girl with the braided pigtails called out again, "Are you Xie Fu?"
Xie Fu reined in his horse and turned to look at her.
The girl with the braided hair met his cold gaze, shrank back, and said in a much softer voice, "If you're from the Xie family, I'll take you to see Sister Shuyun."
Xie Fu dismounted, but the horse couldn't fit in the narrow alley, so he followed behind the somewhat timid little girl with braided pigtails.
Shu Yun contracted the epidemic.
He gripped the knife handle so tightly that his fingertips turned white. His mind was a little muddled, and he kept warning himself not to let this sentence distract him.
