Chapter 114

As the ethereal, transparent skin of the person on the bed gradually solidified, the group of people standing around the bed breathed a sigh of relief.

For the past three days, they have used all the spiritual energy of Penglai to help Shu Yun repair her scattered divine power. For immortals, power is the source of life.

The higher the cultivation level of a deity, the longer their lifespan. At the beginning of the world, the power of the ancient gods was as long as the heavens and earth, but they sacrificed their power for the world and eventually perished silently.

If a deity's divine power begins to dissipate, it means that his life is being taken away.

Even though she saw that Shu Yun's body had solidified again, Zi'e still asked Nanpu, who was standing beside her, with concern, "How is the High God?"

Nanpu's expression was grave. "The situation is not optimistic. Shu Yun's divine power is dissipating."

Zi'e: "Is there any way to stop this from happening?"

Nanpu shook his head helplessly, "If I had it, I would have used it when I first arrived, why would I have waited until now?"

No matter how unfocused Feng Ziyi was on magic, how could he not understand the terrifying nature of the dissipation of divine power?

Shu Yun's lifespan is decreasing at a rate that is almost visible to the naked eye. Every second of divine power she leaks out is her life.

Feng Ziyi opened his mouth, but didn't dare to ask the question.

If this continues, will Shu Yun perish?

The people in this room are all much smarter than him, and their understanding of magic is far superior to his. If he can figure it out, how could Zi'e and the others not understand?

Even his father couldn't do anything about it. Were they really just going to watch helplessly as Shu Yun's last days slipped away?

"That's so unfair."

Zi'e gazed at Shu Yun's sleeping face on the bed. The sleeping spell had failed midway through, and she had woken up once, only to be put back into a deep sleep by them.

Once the deity awakens again, she will likely be more wary of them, and they won't be able to keep her.

In the past, the gods loved to sleep. When Shu Yun's parents were still alive, they would teach her to dance, play musical instruments, and all sorts of strange and wonderful magic. They would take a bunch of little flower fairies from Penglai on a journey to play. Back then, no one ever felt that life was hard.

After the two Shangshu passed away, they were busy resisting external invasions of Penglai and had no free time.

Later, Shu Yun became the youngest Supreme God in the Three Realms. With the Tai'a Divine Sword in hand, no one dared to invade Penglai anymore.

The immortals of Penglai suddenly found themselves with nothing to do. It seems that from then on, the gods developed a fondness for drinking and sleeping, since nothing could pass the long hours better than being drunk and asleep.

Zi'e watched as Shu Yun frowned slightly in her sleep. Her stunningly beautiful face was respected by everyone in the Three Realms.

"That's so unfair."

She gripped the hem of her skirt tightly, her eyes filled with resentment.

"Jiang Yan committed suicide to prevent the massive demonic energy from spreading out. The god saved him, so why should he be punished like this?"

Nanpu knew that Zi'e couldn't accept this outcome, and sighed.

Fengxian took Zi'e's hand and gently patted the back of her hand to comfort her.

Zi'e continued, "Jiang Yan ultimately died while protecting the peace of the Three Realms. After all these years of dedication to the Three Realms, does the High God's act of saving Jiang Yan violate the rules of heaven and earth?"

"Why?! If saving those who maintain peace in the Three Realms is considered violating the rules of Heaven and Earth, then Heaven and Earth are far too unfair..."

The thought that Shu Yun might leave them was something Zi'e simply couldn't accept.

Feng Ziyi stared at the sleeping Shu Yun for a while, then suddenly said, "Release the sleeping spell on Shu Yun."

"Shu Yun has finally fallen for someone, let her stay with Jiang Yan."

Nanpu frowned. "Given Shuyun's physical condition, it would be better for her to stay in a place with abundant spiritual energy."

Feng Ziyi glanced at his father and asked, "If this were my mother, would you rather stay with your son or with my mother?"

Nanpu thought for a moment, then remained silent.

Feng Ziyi snorted coldly, knowing full well that this was how it was.

If I hadn't happened to meet Shu Yun ten thousand years ago, you wouldn't even know when your son disappeared or was killed alive.

Zi'e hesitated and did not lift the spell.

Fengxian glanced at Feng Ziyi, as if she hadn't expected this silly boy who only knew how to cause trouble to say such a thing.

She stepped forward, and white light condensed at her fingertips, flying up from her palm and landing on Shu Yun's brow.

She knew what Zi'e was worried about.

Despite her calm and composed demeanor, Zi'e is still the same Zi'e she was as a child. As immortals, she is unrestrained and hard to find. She is the only one who has been guarding Penglai Island by virtue of her position as the steward of Penglai.

While she and the other immortals traveled around, Zi'e stayed behind in Penglai so that Shuyun could find her whenever he returned.

Zi'e clung to Shuyun more than anyone else, fearing that Shuyun would blame her when she woke up.

Fengxian stood quietly by the bed, shielding Zi'e behind her, watching Shuyun gradually open her eyes.

"God."

The moment Shu Yun regained consciousness, divine power swirled around her, enveloping her entirely.

She has to be wary of these people.

Fengxianhua paused for a moment, then knelt down, lifting her skirt, "Goddess, please forgive me."

Shu Yun glanced down at her, golden light shimmering from her sleeve. "How long have I been asleep?"

Feng Ziyi spoke first: "Three days."

Shu Yun let out a heavy sigh.

Three days, three years.

Fortunately, it was still not too late. Luckily, it was only three years. She thought she was going to miss Jiang Yan in this life again.

There was no accountability, not even a scolding tinged with anger.

The golden light was dazzling, but it vanished in an instant; the person on the bed had already passed away.
