Just as Si Ming and Bei Xingxiu were staring blankly at the calculation results, the star chart began to fluctuate violently once again.
The stars in the hall suddenly dimmed.
A dazzling star streaked across the distant sky and fell into darkness.
The sea was frozen over, and the clouds hung heavy and gloomy.
Si Ming's face was pale and she looked somewhat dazed, as if she hadn't understood the ending.
The Jade Emperor frowned. "The Goddess Shu Yun has fallen?"
These words caused an uproar among the crowd.
Pei Ju, who had always disliked competing with others and was left out of the crowd, stood there stunned.
How could she have perished?
She was one of the three supreme gods in the entire Three Realms, a being whose cultivation had reached the pinnacle. How could she have perished?
Pei Ju's gaze fell on Si Ming and Bei Xingxiu, as if seeking confirmation from the Jade Emperor.
Seeing Si Ming nod heavily and Bei Xing Su's unpleasant expression, Pei Ju quickly turned around and headed towards Penglai.
He had noticed her divine power leaking out last time, but he was terrified of her cold gaze and timidly hid in the Ninth Heaven.
Why didn't he ask more carefully back then? Perhaps if he had known the details, he would have been willing to disregard his pride and stay by Shu Yun's side, and none of this would have happened today.
The dense, impenetrable black clouds in the mortal realm dispersed layer by layer. Purple lightning surged within the clouds for a long time, but finally, as the stars fell, it gave up bombarding the black-clad man standing atop the snow-capped mountain below.
The morning light rises on the horizon and will eventually blanket the world.
In Penglai, the Nine Heavens, and the Demon Realm, everyone gazed at the falling meteorite, their expressions varied.
Those unaware of the inside story were astonished, wondering what kind of being in this world could possibly threaten the life of that Penglai deity.
Could it be that the demon god has been summoned again?
Those who knew the truth were either in disbelief or weeping, and they searched the entire Three Realms for their Lord God.
Feng Ziyi, who had been tracking Shu Yun using Tai'a, suddenly realized at some point that Tai'a had been cut off from contact.
It was at that moment that he directly felt Shu Yun's resolute choice.
Fengzi translates it as regret.
He shouldn't have said those things to her, making her realize clearly that Jiang Yan, whom she had adopted since childhood, was truly gone forever after that bowl of Meng Po soup.
He didn't know if it was for this reason, but Shu Yun, with the last thought of clearing obstacles for Xie Fu, went to the Central Plains and the Southern Barbarians, giving up the last bit of her lifespan.
After seeing the fallen star, Feng Ziyi stood there for a very long time before leaving the human world.
Even though Shu Yun secretly used forbidden techniques to exchange the favor of heaven and earth for Xie Fu, from the moment she fell, those in the Three Realms who were interested in him seemed to have tacitly forgotten him. No one could remember that there was still someone Shu Yun loved in the mortal world.
After all, the revered god of the three realms has passed away, so who cares about that mortal?
The Central Plains and the Southern Barbarians were inexplicably thrown into chaos. The young master of the Xie family fell seriously ill, and the venerable patriarch of the Xie family, who was already in his seventies, returned to power in Xiliang. He seized the opportunity and conquered the scattered Southern Barbarians and the Central Plains one by one, unifying the three kingdoms.
After the death of the Xie family patriarch, Xie Fu ascended the throne. He reigned for only a few years, but after trying his best to seek immortality and enlightenment, he could not find the answer and died in depression.
The broken bridge may not break, but my heart will break; the lonely mountain may not be lonely, but your heart is lonely.
The chaos ended, and he died young, much like Jiang Yan when he was alive.
——————
"Call me brother."
Feng Ziyi carried a small hexagonal glass lantern and coaxed Shuse to call him brother.
Shuse stared longingly at the colorful glass lantern, her desire practically written all over her face.
Feng Ziyi continued to coax, "Call me brother."
Shuse glanced at him timidly and called out softly, "Uncle."
Feng Ziyi was furious. He suddenly unfolded his paper fan, creating a breeze that made his hair dance and give him an ethereal look. "With my extraordinary appearance, how dare you call me uncle?"
Shuse hesitated and said awkwardly, "But if I call you brother, then what should you call my daddy and mommy?"
Feng Ziyi choked, "That's true. We can't let Jiang Yan take advantage of us just to make ourselves sound younger."
Shu Yun, who was leaning against a tree, couldn't help but laugh when she heard their conversation.
Feng Ziyi gave an awkward hum, fanned himself a couple of times, and changed the subject, "Where's your brother?"
Shuser shook her head obediently, "I don't know."
The little girl was exquisitely beautiful and very cute. Feng Ziyi loved to tease her.
“Jiang Xiaorong went to the Nuwa Temple with her father,” Shu Yun answered the question for her precious daughter.
Feng Ziyi counted the days carefully, "Oh right, how could I have forgotten about this?"
If it weren't for the blessing that Goddess Nuwa gave Shuyun, she would probably be gone from them forever now.
The love tribulation that Shu Yunli faced back then was truly perilous; to put it another way, it was the worst possible outcome. He went against the will of Heaven, disrupted the human world, and met his end by dying and his soul being annihilated.
Fortunately, Nuwa left behind a fragment of her soul back then. As a creator goddess, she must have foreseen this day long ago, which is why she sealed her power and let it slumber within Shu Yun's body.
Thinking of this, Feng Ziyi felt a pang of bitterness. Shu Yun was indeed Shu Yun; even without her immortal bones, she was still favored. The Goddess Nuwa had actually started planning for her future so early on.
They also managed to rescue Jiang Yan, who had been wandering in the underworld, and helped him regain his memories by defying the rules of heaven and earth.
I can't even begin to envy that.
Clouds swirled and rolled like waterfalls around Penglai. A green-robed immortal, leading a boy, broke through Penglai's barrier and arrived, stepping on the clouds.
A misty cloud-like aura surrounded him, his azure robes fluttered in the wind, his dark hair was casually draped, his face was like jade, and his eyes had perfectly curved, elongated corners. Normally, such features would be too feminine, but on this person, they added a touch of heroism. His pair of dark eyes looked over, clearly showing affection, yet also giving off an inexplicable sense of coldness.
