Chapter 11
He soon discovered that feeding him was nothing special.
What made him even more nervous was what happened next—Noah took him to the bathroom.
Humans have to use the restroom sometimes, and he's not a god. Following Noah's instructions, he used his brainwaves to control the metal skeleton on his right side, successfully lifting himself off the bed and wobbling to the ground, taking a couple of uneven steps.
Then it got stuck.
He didn't know where the bathroom was—as a new resident of this mysterious stone house, he had only just learned how to open windows and doors.
The wolf king, who was staying in the house, "observed the situation" and immediately raised his head and howled.
A minute later, Noah pushed open the door and entered, his brows slightly furrowed: "Why are you up? You haven't reached the second stage yet, so try to lie flat and move as little as possible."
Su Yue said, feeling wronged, "...I need to use the restroom. Where is it?"
Noah walked over and, without saying a word, picked him up and carried him in his arms.
Su Yue was startled: "What are you doing?"
"I'll take you to the bathroom," Noah said matter-of-factly.
Su Yue: "!!" What the other party said made a lot of sense, and he couldn't refute it... but something still felt off?
Noah is incredibly strong; he can carry a large person without flinching and with ease.
No, that's not it!
The key is this pose—the legendary princess carry?
Oh God...
Su Yue's face was pressed against Noah's shoulder, her heart pounding wildly, even faster than when she was being fed. This... wouldn't be good for her recovery?
"Uh...can you carry me on your back?" he asked, blushing after he had been holding back for a while.
Noah, however, had already strode to the bathroom door: "We're here."
Su Yue: "..."
The hallway and bathroom were both decorated in a stone style, consistent with his room. Noah walked to the toilet before setting him down. Su Yue's legs were weak, and he almost lost his balance when he landed, but Noah caught him by the waist.
Then, Noah's inquiring gaze fell on his waistband.
Su Yue's mind went blank: Did she really want to help him up...?!
His face instantly burned. He pushed Noah away, firmly refusing further help: "My left hand is fine! I can manage on my own!!"
Noah hesitated: "Really?"
Su Yue felt like she was on fire: "Yes! I can! I really can!! Stop looking! Please leave!"
He pushed Noah out the door, closed it, and then breathed a sigh of relief, having resolved his life's most pressing matter.
He then stared at himself in the bathroom mirror for a long time.
In my sixteen years of life, I have never looked at myself so carefully.
His eyebrows were slightly curved, not as sharp and handsome as Noah's; his nose, though high, was more slender than Noah's; his lips were thinner, not as full and shapely as Noah's; his eyes were large and round, but they appeared youthful and gentle, lacking maturity and aloofness...
But when put together, they are quite handsome.
Perhaps... she's worthy of him?
"Hiss!" Su Yue jolted awake: What am I thinking?!
I washed my face with cold water three times before the redness subsided.
After all that fuss, I opened the door—Noah was still waiting outside, casually saying, "If you want to take a bath, I'll help you."
Upon hearing this, an image involuntarily flashed through Su Yue's mind, and her face, which had just been washed clean, flushed red again!
Good heavens, is this month for recuperating or for a honeymoon?!
Why is the other person so calm and composed? It's as if it would be strange if he didn't agree.
After struggling for a moment, he stammered, "No, I don't want to wash... I'm afraid, afraid of the pain."
Noah nodded: "Alright. It'll be safer to wash him after he's recovered a bit from the second phase." With that, he naturally picked him up and carried him back to the bedroom.
Five days later, Su Yue successfully entered the second stage of recovery: several fractures in his body had shrunk into minor bone cracks, and manipulating the metal brace no longer aggravated the wounds.
In other words, Noah finally allowed himself to eat and take care of his personal needs in the bathroom.
Noah advised him against moving around too much, saying that he should wait until the third stage before going out for a walk, which would probably take another ten days.
Su Yue had no objections and was already prepared to "repay him with her body"—or rather, "obey his every word."
He was just becoming increasingly worried about Noah's mental state.
Since entering the second stage, he could clearly see the unusual silver-gray aura around Noah.
That wasn't an emotion. From a young age, he could "see" the colors of other people's emotions: playful yellow, liking pink, furious red, gloomy black... but this silver-gray was different.
It's like... the intertwining of two inhuman superpowers. One is as pure as an angel, the other as dark as a demon.
Sensing that dark, negative energy, Su Yue felt an unprecedented heaviness and dull pain spreading through his heart.
Instinct told him that this thing would gradually devour Noah's reason and life.
Why does Noah possess something so terrifying?
Several times he looked at Noah, wanting to say something but then stopping himself.
Should we remind him? Would Noah believe us?
Just as he was struggling with this decision, Noah came over and picked him up without saying a word.
Su Yue was no longer panicked. After five days of "special training," he remained calm and even cooperatively placed his hand on the other person's shoulder and neck.
"Let me take you downstairs for a walk..." Noah paused slightly, his brow furrowing slightly, "But you haven't showered for five days, so why don't you take a shower first?"
"Let's take a look around first!" Su Yue said firmly.
He wasn't the wolf king—it's funny, that wolf was a germaphobe, and he kept pestering Noah to give him a bath every day.
Noah glanced at the Wolf King, then at Su Yue, hesitating to speak.
The wolf king slightly upturned its nose, swished its tail triumphantly, and looked at Su Yue with a hint of superiority.
Su Yue: "..." She couldn't help but secretly sniff herself—no obvious odor, not bad... right?
Noah considered for a moment and suggested, "Then remember to shower tonight. If you need help..."
"No need! I can handle it myself." Su Yue decisively refused. He couldn't accept the urge to have someone help him shower; the past few days had proven that his heart condition was indeed not good...
Noah was about to speak again when his body suddenly stiffened and he stood frozen in place.
At the same time, Su Yue saw the silvery-gray halo suddenly rush towards him, instantly enveloping him!
A strange feeling of suffocation gripped his entire body—no, not that he was being choked, but that his body was actively absorbing it!
This has never happened before.
In the past, although he could sense the emotions of others, an invisible barrier kept them at bay. But this time, his body seemed to develop its own consciousness, instinctively wanting to accept these energies and...purify them?
Yes, purification.
A surge of pure power erupted from his body as if in response to an emergency, and the instant it came into contact with the dark negative energy—it was like positive and negative electrons colliding, annihilating and returning to zero.
He purified away the negative energy!
Su Yue was dumbfounded. He had never imagined that he possessed such an ability besides mental hypnosis.
Before he could even feel smug, something even more shocking happened: the negative energy emanating from Noah was far heavier than anyone could have imagined!
A silvery-gray aura surged into his body, the oppressive negative energy like countless fine needles piercing his blood vessels, causing unbearable pain. The purification power he had generated for the first time in his life was futile, vanishing in an instant.
Like a silent war: he had just learned to hold a gun, and before he could even kill the enemy, he was defeated.
The newly generated purifying power barely managed to dilute the silver-gray mist on Noah's body by one edge before he was completely exhausted.
He curled up weakly in Noah's arms, drifting off to sleep.
