Chapter 5
A dashing "beauty" strode into the living room. Some people noticed this unfamiliar face and whistled sporadically, but the sound was quickly drowned out by the music.
She walked straight up to Mike without looking to either side.
Mike was engrossed in his conversation with Mira and Isabel when he caught a glimpse of the newcomer out of the corner of his eye. He sized her up—she was quite attractive and looked very familiar…
He was suddenly startled: "You?!"
Su Yue took a deep breath: "I'm here."
Mike jumped to his feet, speechless, pointing at him for a long time without saying a word.
Thomas sidled up, forcing a fawning smile: "Boss, do you know her? Let me introduce you, this beautiful lady is..."
Su Yue ignored him and stared at Mike: "I came as you asked. If there's nothing else, I'm leaving."
He has fulfilled the demands of this group of perverts, and hopefully they will keep their word.
Mike snapped out of his daze, his tongue tumbling out, "Oh, okay... good that you're here. I... I'm fine."
Su Yue glanced at him coldly and said, "Goodbye."
He turned and left without looking back.
Thomas was taken aback: "Huh? Leaving already? How about a drink and a dance! That pretty girl... classmate... damn it, what's her name?!"
Mira and Isabel both looked at Mike: "Who is she?"
Thomas was confused again: "Isn't she a new recruit for your cheerleading team?"
Mike pursed his lips: "...It's Pat Su Yue."
Everyone: "Huh??!!"
They all stared at that resolute figure's back, their jaws dropping to the floor.
Thomas was stunned for a long time: "No, no way... that's the Pat Su Yue you were talking about?!"
Ignoring the astonishment of the crowd, Mike suddenly pushed through the throng and chased after them.
Su Yue had already reached the front yard when he was suddenly grabbed by someone.
Turning around, I saw Mike.
He frowned: "What else do you want? I wore the dress, I came to the party—are you going to back out?"
“No.” Mike shook his head repeatedly. “I said we’d call it even, and I promise I’ll keep my word. I’m the captain, and they listen to me.”
Su Yue snorted coldly. The other person was still gripping his arm tightly, and he couldn't break free.
He looked at the clump of mental "cotton" on Mike's head—dull and gray, its emotions difficult to discern in the dim light.
But at least, the black and red color posed no threat. Mike didn't intend to make a move.
But what does it mean to hold on so tightly?
"Mike?" Su Yue asked tentatively, appearing calm on the surface but unsure inside. Yesterday he was surrounded by seven "bears," and today there are more than thirty in the house—if Mike gives the order, he's likely to be torn apart.
Mike hesitated for a moment. The shadows of the trees in the front yard swayed gently, and the streetlights cast a soft filter on the person in front of him.
The next second, as if possessed, he pulled Su Yue into his arms and kissed her again.
Su Yue: Meow!
He didn't use his superpowers at all this time! What happened?!
He blamed yesterday's accident on his excessive tension and overly intense hypnosis. But what about this second kiss?!
Is Mike a kissing maniac who's so addicted to kissing that he doesn't distinguish between men and women?!
He was being hugged and bitten by a "bear," and it was incredibly uncomfortable... Damn it!
When Mike loosened his grip slightly, Su Yue angrily pushed him away: "What are you doing?!"
Mike looked dazed, as if he were reminiscing, which gave Su Yue goosebumps: "Bastard!"
Mike wiped his lips, smiling with lingering interest: "What's there to be shy about? You artists, isn't this perfectly normal?"
Su Yue was furious that she had been taken advantage of and then falsely accused: "Normal my foot! Don't slander us art students!"
He wanted to throw a punch, but he couldn't beat the other guy, so he could only curse his ancestors in his heart.
Mike was still holding his hand, unable to break free.
He had no choice but to unleash his powers again, channeling all his energy into the grayish "cotton" above Mike's head: Let me go... Go back to your party... Go back...
That clump of gray fluff was exceptionally sticky, its obsession running deep. Su Yue silently chanted in his mind for no less than ten minutes before finally managing to get rid of it.
From then on, Mike kept his promise, and the rest of the football team stopped bothering him.
Aside from Mike himself.
What's most infuriating is that those straight male team members completely ignored their captain's strange behavior and even created opportunities for him to harass him from time to time...
A bunch of lunatics! What the hell!
Su Yue didn't know how she got through her first year of high school.
At the end of the school year, the whole class decided to go camping in the castle mountains.
Ancient Castle Mountain is a scenic spot located on the edge of the primeval forest behind Weiming Town. The straight-line distance is only 20 kilometers, but the mountain is steep and the winding mountain road makes the actual driving distance nearly 100 kilometers. Fortunately, we had a car, which saved us a lot of walking.
To enjoy the scenery along the way, many tourists choose to get off the bus halfway up the mountain and hike to the summit campsite. The class itinerary was similar: get off early, hike, and camp for two nights—this was the highlight of the trip: escaping parental supervision and partying all night in the wild!
Before the trip, Su Yue specifically checked the information about the castle: there was no history.
This ancient castle, nestled deep in the mountains, remained unknown until fifty years ago when a group of tourists took photos of it and published them, leading to it being named one of "Europe's Top Ten Hidden Gems" by a magazine. Its fame primarily stems from the nearby towns.
Looking at the photos taken by others, Su Yue became inexplicably fascinated.
The mountains are verdant and layered, with steep cliffs on one side and wildflowers blooming on the other, as if they embody the beauty of the Alps, making it an excellent place for sketching.
What's even stranger is that he felt a strange sense of familiarity. He had never been there before, yet it felt strangely familiar.
So, Su Yue, a homebody, decided to take his first three-day, two-night trip away from home.
The day before departure was Dr. Snow's routine medical check-up.
Su Yue never treated him like an outsider, excitedly telling him about his trip to Castle Hill. As always, Dr. Snow listened with a smile and wished him a pleasant journey.
The next day, while waiting for the bus after the group meeting, Su Yue was surprised to find that Mike had also arrived!
He initially thought the other person was just passing by, so he hid behind the crowd and pretended not to see him. Unexpectedly, Mike greeted the younger students with a smile while pushing through the crowd and walking straight towards him.
Su Yue retreated to the bus stop, with nowhere left to go, when Mike grabbed her by the neck and half-forced her onto the bus.
He was stunned—Mike was actually going along?!
Even though they weren't in the same grade, Su Yue didn't know how he had convinced the teacher. The class was cheering, and judging from the admiring looks in the eyes of the boys and girls... Su Yue knew that he couldn't get this god off the bus by himself.
Mike smiled and squeezed him into a window seat, then sat down next to him as if it were his right.
Su Yue saw that beneath that seemingly gentlemanly and calm mask lay a pair of eyes burning with a madness.
A chill ran down his spine: Oh my god, help!
Meanwhile, at Dr. Snow's clinic.
A brand-new, ultra-thin laptop, only one centimeter thick, sat neglected on the corner of the table, its screensaver scrolling listlessly. Dr. Snow's gaze was fixed intently on a floating screen next to it—a screen as thin as paper, crystal clear, making the laptop beside it appear as bulky as an antique.
The floating screen displays a table of data and is communicating in real-time with a young man:
"Chief Snow, the data you submitted has been analyzed. The results show that Pat Su Yue's physiological indicators have all reached the preset values, and memory data can be implanted. The matching rate with Administrator No. 2, Konoa, remains stable at 80%. Would you like to proceed with the memory implantation?"
"All criteria have been met... Very good." Dr. Snow nodded slightly, then gently shook his head. "Not for now."
That child has always lived in contemporary human society, and suddenly being injected with Crystal Clan memories would probably be too much for him to handle.
The other party asked, "Should we notify Manager No. 2, Knoa?"
Dr. Snow: "No, don't reveal anything to him about Pat Sue. But you can inform him that he's going to patrol Castle Hill in Area A7 this afternoon for three days."
Actually, telling Noah directly would have been the best course of action. But Noah is currently on edge and won't listen to advice, so we have to... take a more roundabout approach.
Dr. Snow adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses with a headache.
The other party: "Any other instructions, Chief?"
"Let's leave it at that for now."
"Yes." Communication was cut off.
