Chapter 206 What are your plans for the future?

"You're not in the mood for class, so what difference does it make whether the professor is there or not?"

So, Kitahara Satone, who had always been a good girl, skipped class.

She walked along the road with some excitement. This was the road she usually took to and from get out of class, but now, she felt that this road was particularly different.

There's a thrill of secretly doing something wrong, and a sense of exhilaration, like escaping from a cage.

For some reason, Kitahara Satone wanted to laugh, to burst out laughing.

She started laughing, then she started crying again. Her crying grew louder and louder until she finally broke down in tears.

When she came to her senses, she saw that Matsukata-san was staring at her, and Kitahara Satone's face immediately turned red.

Seeing her like this, Nan Qu didn't bring up the topic, but instead said, "Let's go."

Kitahara Satone didn't know where she was going, but she subconsciously felt that this girl wouldn't harm her.

Nanqu led Kitahara Chie to her home, took out a set of her own pajamas, and handed her a bottle of ointment: "There's a bathroom over there. You're dirty, go take a bath. This is ointment for your wounds."

Kitahara Satone was visiting this place for the first time. She knew her grandparents worked here, but she had never been here before.

Now, looking at this house, which is more than four times larger than her own, she realizes that on the other side of the wall lies a wealthy family she can never reach.

"What are you daydreaming about? That pool is hot spring water, it's flowing water, just go in and wash."

"Ah, yes!"

Kitahara Tomoe went to the bathroom, and Minami went to the kitchen to cook for her. Kitahara Tomoe had left her lunch on the floor, so she obviously hadn't eaten anything.

Nanqu didn't know how to cook the food for her daily life, so she just stir-fried some vegetables and cooked rice.

After the southern tune was finished, Kitahara Satone walked out awkwardly.

Nanqu gave Kitahara Satone her own clothes, which were similar in style to Hanfu. When Kitahara Satone put them on, she realized that the clothes were different from before.

However, considering that Nan Qu was a girl, she had nothing to be ashamed of and went out.

Nanqu turned around when she heard the voice and saw Kitahara Tomoya standing there gently. Nanqu smiled and said, "Don't stand there. Come and eat. Didn't you finish your lunch? You probably haven't eaten anything."

As she spoke, Kitahara Sato's stomach rumbled, and her face turned even redder.

"Come here, I've done quite a bit."

Kitahara Satone then came over to eat.

Nanqu made sweet and sour pork, shredded pork with garlic sauce, and Kung Pao chicken—all dishes that girls love. Not only are they all meat dishes, but they also taste great.

At least Kitahara Satone ate with relish.

From the moment she took her first bite, Kitahara Satone lost all reason; her mind was filled with nothing but the food on the table.

After dinner, Kitahara Tomoin insisted on washing the dishes, but Minami refused. She put the dishes in the dishwasher and tidied up the kitchen as well.

Kitahara Satone watched this scene without saying a word.

Nanqu naturally noticed her inferiority complex, but dishwashers were already quite common. It was Kitahara Chie's inner self that was suppressed by the students of those prestigious schools, and she became inferior over the slightest thing.

Nan Qu didn't mention that she had been bullied, but instead asked, "What do you plan to do in the future?"

Kitahara Tomoe looked up at Minami, her eyes filled with confusion. It was unclear whether she didn't understand Minami's words or felt lost about the future.

"The Songbei family meant well when you came to Qinglong School. But if you're unhappy, wouldn't that have backfired? Tell me, what do you plan to do? Transfer schools? Or fight back against those people?"

Kitahara Satone lowered her head again.

"I think you can resist them. It's your business who you like. Your liking doesn't bother anyone else, does it? As for the school, since you can go to that school, it proves that you are qualified to study there. Why should others point fingers at you?"

Even though their arguments were clearly baseless, they managed to defeat you; they're still rather weak.

Kitahara Satone didn't speak or look up. But Minami saw two tears falling on the floor.

Nan Qu sighed and patted her head like she was petting a puppy: "No matter what you choose, I will help you. Think carefully about what you really want."

Kitahara Satone paused for a moment when she was touched, and nodded vigorously after Minami finished speaking.

"You know how to play Go, right? Play a game with me. I haven't touched this stuff in a while."

As she spoke, Nanqu walked towards the terrace by the door. Upon reaching the door, she pressed a button, and a Go table rose up from below.

Come here.

Kitahara Tomoya then walked over and sat down opposite Minami.

Nan Qu hadn't played Go in a long time. The last time she played was back in a martial arts world when she was bored and sought out a teacher to learn. She'd heard that teacher was a very skilled Go player at the time, but she didn't know much about him.

After the game was over, Nanqu gave a very early and fair answer: "Well, he really doesn't have much talent."

Kitahara Satone blushed again.

Nan Qu, however, asked, "Do you know what kind of people like Go?"

Kitahara Tomoe remained silent, and Minami continued, "Go is a very elegant and harmonious art that has existed in ancient China for a long time. However, among the Chinese arts of qin (a stringed instrument), qi (chess), shu (calligraphy), and hua (painting), I prefer the other three and don't particularly like Go."

Kitahara Tomoya looked at Minami and finally spoke her first words in a long time: "But you're really good at Go. Even better than the club president."

Although Kitahara Satone was not particularly talented, she knew that Nanju's Go skills were definitely superior to Ito Gen's.

Kitahara Tomoe's life has always revolved around Go, so in her opinion, the Go of Nanju is truly rare.

However, to her surprise, Nan Qu said nonchalantly, "I am good at many things, Go is just one of them."

Kitahara Satone fell silent again; clearly, she had been dealt another blow.

Nan Qu felt somewhat helpless; this child was too sensitive, and it was quite difficult to brainwash him.

"Forget about Go. Let's have some tea."

Nanqu pressed another button, and the Go board spun around, revealing a tea set.

Nanqu picked up the kettle, filled it with water, and started boiling it.

Who will make the tea?

Throughout the entire process, neither of them uttered a single word.

After drinking a cup of tea, Nanqu simply lay down lazily on the tatami mat.

This action startled Kitahara Satone. In her eyes, Minami had always been an unattainable, radiant figure. Now, however, she lay there utterly unseemly.

For some reason, she suddenly felt that Songbei had become much closer to her.

She's become much bolder: "It's a bit cold here. If you want to sleep, Songbei, you should go to your room."

There's underfloor heating here, and also a glass room. It's fine to sit here, but it's a bit chilly to sleep in.
