Chapter 36 Lyle's Visit

To be honest, Nan Qu's only concern for this world is Taya; she doesn't care much about anyone else.

When Nanqu entered the reception room, she saw Lyle enjoying his meal and couldn't help but chuckle: "Can't the castle make food to your liking?"

Lyle saw Nanqu, took a sip of the tea beside him, and then said, "The chefs in the castle can't cook as well as you do here. Besides, I haven't eaten anything properly since yesterday."

Seeing that Lyle genuinely enjoyed the bread baked by her chef, Nanqu said, "I'll have Lisa pack some for you to take away later. But, what brings you here?"

Lyle nodded, then shook his head: "I originally thought you were angry with me, which is why you moved away from the castle. I was worried that Taya would be angry when you came back without me. But now it seems that you are more comfortable here. I think Taya will understand you if she sees this."

Nan Qu laughed: "I've always been an unruly person. Inside the castle, Taya has given me too many special privileges, which will actually make it harder for Taya to manage me."

Moreover, when Taya returns, she may bring her uncle's family with her. Although that family treats Taya very well, they might cause a lot of trouble if they see how Taya treats them.

Nanqu wasn't afraid of trouble, but arguing with others over these so-called rules was pointless. Of course, she wouldn't mention this to Lyle.

Lyle looked at Nanqu and knew that she was indeed very relaxed here, so he didn't say anything more: "I heard that you went to the clothing workshop today? Taya told me that your living standards will be based on hers from now on. These past few days have been too chaotic. I will have these things sent to you later."

Nan Qu explained frankly, "I took Taya's clothes to sell. The customer thought they were a bit too big, so I had the workers alter them. I still have a lot of clothes, and I don't need them for the time being."

Lyle knew that Taya had given all her old clothes to Nanqu, and what Nanqu did was her business, so he didn't ask any further questions: "Then I'll trouble Lisa to pack some bread for me to take back. Your bread is indeed quite delicious."

Nan Qu said, "I'll have my master give you the recipe. You can have the castle's chef try making it."

After exchanging a few pleasantries, Lyle left.

Nanqu and Lyle both knew that they were only being polite to each other because of Taya; in reality, they weren't even friends.
