Chapter 40 Unable to Book a Hotel

Nanqu suddenly thought of buying a car when her kindergarten teacher called today.

Nanxing is currently in kindergarten. Although she doesn't hope anything happens to her child, she hopes that if anything does happen, she can get there as quickly as possible.

Nan Qu never expected her shop to become profitable so quickly. According to her plan, she would be satisfied if she could sell one set this year.

It can only be said that her shop aroused the curiosity of many people, making young people unable to resist coming to visit.

In the following days, people would come to visit Nanqu's little shop from time to time. Besides selling two exquisite little accessories, Zeng Yu called again and reserved the white dress in the shop window.

The size will be adjusted according to her instructions. After it's done, she will transfer the money to me and then send the clothes over.

Nan Qu's white dress was priced at 1.2 million, but Zeng Yu actually bought it directly. Only then did Nan Qu realize that she had underestimated these rich people.

Two sets of clothes transformed Nan Qu from a pauper into a middle-class citizen; with food in hand, she felt secure. Now that Nan Qu had money, she could choose the voice acting jobs she liked, and her life became more carefree.

During the May Day holiday, after Nanxing started his vacation, Nanqu took Nanxing to Beijing again.

This time, she took Nanxing to an authoritative institution for a medical check-up.

Because hospitals in Beijing are very crowded, Nan Qu made an appointment two weeks ago. Fortunately, there were relatively fewer people at the hospital during the May Day holiday, otherwise she might have had to wait a while.

Just like last time, Nanqu arrived in Beijing a day early so that she would be in good condition for her medical check-up the next day.

Nan Qu was surprised to find that upon arriving at the hotel, she was informed that her room reservation had failed due to a system malfunction. The hotel was now fully booked and agreed to pay the maximum penalty for breach of contract.

The penalty for breach of contract was several times higher than the hotel room she was staying at; even during holidays when hotel prices rise, the amount wouldn't exceed that. The only possibility that the hotel owner would rather lose money than let her stay there is that someone is sabotaging her behind the scenes.

Since Nanqu arrived here, she has not offended anyone.

She didn't think anyone else would extend their reach here except the Gu family.

Nan Qu searched for several hotels online, but the result was the same: all were fully booked. Even hotels in the suburbs were said to be full. Nan Qu found it strange, as if her every move was being controlled by others. Just as she was about to book a hotel, halfway through the check-in process, they would refuse her check-in.

Nan Qu looked at her phone and suddenly realized something. She took Nan Xing straight to the mall. They bought a new phone and put the old one into her spatial storage.

Nan Qu knew that even though the person who had come looking for her couldn't know where she was going to stay next, there would be trouble again as long as she booked a hotel.

So, Nan Qu simply took her son directly to the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau!

If you need anything, just ask our great police officers, it's absolutely no problem.

When Nan Qu arrived at the police station with her luggage and son, saying she couldn't book a hotel, everyone at the station looked helpless, because they hadn't expected anyone to come to the station for this reason.

Especially since this person looks like a normal person, right?

Nan Qu recounted the entire process of how she couldn't book a hotel. When the front desk staff didn't believe her, she took out her phone from her pocket and started making a reservation on the spot.

Three in a row, all of them said they were full halfway through the registration process. Nan Qu then looked at them.

"You should be able to book now using your mobile phone."

Upon hearing this, the police officer took out his phone to make a call when Nan Qu noticed a man in his thirties who had been sitting nearby suddenly stand up: "No need to order. You'll definitely get one if you order. You two come with me, I need to ask you some questions. Also, show us your ID cards so we can make a record."

Nan Qu took out her ID card, and the man took it and handed it directly to the receptionist. The receptionist immediately got busy. Nan Qu was still wondering whether she should wait here for them to return her ID card or go inside with this man now when the man spoke again.

"Come on, come with me."

The staff member at the reception desk hurriedly said, "I'll send your ID card back later."

Nan Qu nodded, then led her son and followed the man into the small meeting room inside the police station.

At first, the man showed his identification and said, "My name is Chen Jun, this is my ID. Don't worry, please sit here for a while, I'll be right back."

Chen Jun, who was about to leave, suddenly stopped and said as if he had thought of something, "Give me your phone for a moment, I'll give it back to you later."

Upon hearing this, Nan Qu immediately handed over the phone. Chen Jun glanced at the old-fashioned phone, tossed it around, and then left.

Nanxing looked around curiously with her big eyes, showing no fear whatsoever. Perhaps it was because Nanqu's emotions were very stable, as if this problem was not difficult for them to solve.

Although he's just a child, he's very perceptive. He knew they were facing difficulties today, but with his mother there, everything would be alright.

The two of them traveled in business class and slept the whole way. Nanxing isn't sleepy at all now. Nanqu doesn't want Nanxing to play on his phone too much, so she bought him a lot of books. Now Nanxing still has a book and a dictionary in his backpack.

"Have a sip of water, and if you're bored, read a book for a while."

Nanxing nodded, took her thermos from her mother, took a big gulp, then closed the lid and handed it to Nanqu: "Thank you, Mom~"

Then she took out a book from her handbag and lay down on the table to read it seriously.

About ten minutes later, the staff returned Nan Qu's ID card.

Nan Qu was bored sitting there, so she simply took out a book and started reading.

Half an hour later, Chen Jun, who had left earlier, appeared in front of Nan Qu in a police uniform.

Nanxing looked up and saw Chen Jun in his new clothes, her eyes sparkling: "Wow, Uncle, you look so handsome in this outfit!"

Chen Jun, who had been looking serious, suddenly smiled brightly at Nan Xing because of a child's question: "Really? How handsome?"

Nanxing nodded vigorously: "Extremely handsome!"

Because Nanxing unintentionally gained favor with the person, the originally dull reception room became much more relaxed.

Chen Jun's tone towards Nan Qu was no longer so cold: "Ms. Nan, right? We just investigated and found out if you've offended anyone."

Chen Jun looked at Nan Qu with a complicated expression. Just now, she had investigated all of Nan Qu's information. Clearly, she was being targeted.

Nan Qu looked completely innocent: "No, I haven't offended anyone."
