Chapter 110 Doctor Huang Teases Sato (1/2)

"Um... Comrade Su Xingran, could you please wake Old Zhang up? We still need to continue questioning him." Qiu Guangming felt embarrassed; he hadn't even seen how the other person had made their move before the man collapsed.

Su Xingran walked over to Zhang Zhipeng and used silver needles to prick acupoints on his head. Zhang Zhipeng woke up, feeling a headache. He looked at Su Xingran sitting opposite him, opened his mouth, then closed it again.

"As you all know, my master is Huang Zhenhua, the outstanding military doctor in the Chinese army that Sato mentioned. I am his personally taught disciple, so it's not an exaggeration to say that I have learned some of his skills."

"I also learned martial arts from Duan Yuming. Besides giving me martial arts lessons, he also explained firearms mechanics to me. I had never seen a real gun before entering the laboratory."

"I got the gun from Sato. I figured out how to use it based on what I learned from Uncle Duan."

"I fired that shot because I was forced by the situation. The enemy's gun was aimed at Brother Gu's head. I was hiding to the side and noticed the enemy, so I picked up the gun and fired at the enemy under those circumstances."

"As for which part of the enemy I hit, that's completely beyond my control. I only know that I have to fire the bullet; I can't control or understand anything else." Su Xingran had already given up.

With her master and Uncle Duan protecting her, why should she back down? Her master said, "He's here for you, don't worry." Wasn't that clearly a sign of his support?

What could Qiu Guangming and the others say? This girl is right. Her master is Dr. Huang, and she also has Duan Yuming, a former regimental commander, as her martial arts sparring partner.

How could someone trained by these two outstanding individuals be anything less than excellent? "Comrade Su Xingran, we have followed the normal procedures, and we have asked all the questions that needed to be asked. Our questioning ends here, and you can go back to your dormitory."

Su Xingran walked back to her dormitory and breathed a sigh of relief. Could this be considered a stroke of luck? If there had been even one more person in the lab, she wouldn't have been able to complete what she had just described.

"Xingran, did they give you any trouble?" Su Xingran was about to enter her dormitory room when her master's concerned voice came from behind her.

Su Xingran turned around: "Master, they didn't make things difficult for me. After I finished speaking, they let me come back."

"It's good that you weren't given any trouble. People in the military are quite serious about things. Your master was just worried that you might be frightened. Since you're alright, you can continue to rest. Your master has other things to do."

Dr. Huang didn't say what he was going to do, but he was actually going to treat Sato's wound. Hoshizome's knife had completely severed Sato's "root." He couldn't be sent to the hospital now; if something happened there, it would endanger innocent civilians.

Since it was just a matter of treating wounds and applying medicine, Dr. Huang readily agreed to the job. Dr. Huang went to the room where Sato was being held.

When Sato saw it was him, he thought of his damned female apprentice. "Tell your female apprentice to treat my wounds. That brat hurt me, she should be the one taking care of me."

Dr. Huang, who was taking out disinfectant and cotton balls from his medicine box, smiled silently upon hearing Sato's words. It's true what they say about the Japanese—arrogant and self-important. Even as prisoners, they're still spouting nonsense.

"Did you hear that, you old codger? I want that brat to serve me." Sato still hadn't grasped the situation and thought he was still that Japanese colonel.

Ignoring Sato's foul language, Dr. Huang walked to where Sato was lying. Considering the location of Sato's injuries, Gu Moting and the others simply locked him up alone. They casually grabbed a tattered mat and made him sleep on the floor, handcuffing his hands and feet to wooden stakes specially added to the room.
