After Wang Laifu left the study, Su Xingran slipped into it through the window. She had clearly seen from outside that there was a secret room inside Wang Laifu's study.
Worried that Wang Laifu might come to the study again, Su Xingran stayed there for about half an hour. After confirming that everything was alright, Su Xingran began to act.
She did exactly what she had seen Wang Laifu do, and soon opened a small door behind a painting or calligraphy, just big enough for one person to fit through.
Su Xingran took a flashlight and went inside; it really was a secret room. There were many boxes piled up inside, and Su Xingran opened one at random. The box was full of gold and silver jewelry; it seemed these were all spoils of Wang Laifu's confiscated property.
After searching the secret room for a while, Su Xingran found a large iron box. Inside, there was a smaller iron box, but it was locked.
Not wanting to stay there too long, Su Xingran immediately stored the items from the secret room into her spatial storage. As she left the study, preparing to depart, Su Xingran hesitated and turned back.
Standing inside the Wang family's house, Su Xingran began packing her things. An elderly woman lived on the first floor; Su Xingran opened the door, looked inside, and didn't take her belongings.
After putting the items from the first floor and kitchen into her space, Su Xingran went upstairs to the second floor. The second floor contained the study, the room of Wang Laifu and his wife, and another room that should belong to Wang Haibo.
Su Xingran slipped a sleeping gas under the crack of Wang Laifu's door. After tidying up the study and Wang Haibo's room, Su Xingran returned to Wang Laifu's room and tried to push the door open.
Unexpectedly, the door opened easily, and Su Xingran walked into the room. Wang Laifu and his wife were snoring loudly in bed, the sound so loud it looked like pigs squealing. Su Xingran quickly took out cotton balls from her spatial storage and stuffed them into her ears.
Whether it was the sleeping gas or they were simply fast asleep, Su Xingran finished moving her things out of the room and looked at the bed where Wang Laifu and his wife were sleeping.
Su Xingran refused to accept anything used by the Wang family members, deeming it unclean. Wang Laifu and his son were clearly lecherous; though outwardly there seemed to be nothing wrong, who knew if they were infected with any diseases?
Not collecting doesn't mean not destroying. Su Xingran took out a pair of large gardening shears that she had casually picked up in that world. "Snip...snip..." Half an hour later, the pile of clothes and shoes were all tattered.
Su Xingran took out a silent chainsaw and sawed off all four legs of the two large beds. They were beyond repair and could only be used as firewood.
Having finished everything, Su Xingran left the Wang family. Finding a secluded corner, she took out her bicycle and rode it back to Su Family Village.
After a long night of hard work, Su Xingran returned home, changed her clothes, and removed her disguise. She fell asleep as soon as she lay down on the bed.
The next morning, Aunt Wang got up to make breakfast. When she walked into the kitchen and saw it was empty, she thought she was still half asleep and seeing things. She rubbed her eyes and looked again, but the kitchen was still empty.
The aunt was terrified and rushed out of the kitchen to go upstairs to find Wang Laifu and his wife. But when she passed the first floor, she found that the entire first floor was empty and everything was gone.
The aunt, who had lived for over fifty years, had never seen anything so outrageous. She ran up to the second floor and to the door of Wang Laifu and his wife's room. Just as she raised her hand to pound on the door, it was open, and she rushed into the room.
The aunt didn't fall to the ground; she stood up straight and patted her chest. When she looked up, her eyes widened and her mouth gaped open.
Many of their belongings were gone. Wang Laifu and his wife were sleeping on the bed, but the bed frame was completely rotten and the legs had collapsed. They were essentially sleeping on the floor, their clothes torn and tattered. A large pile of clothes and shoes lay on the floor, all reduced to shreds.
