The next day, Huang Tai'an went to work, poured himself a glass of water, and sat down in his office chair. Just as he finished drinking and was about to put the glass down, he noticed something on his desk.
Huang Tai'an stared at the object that had appeared out of thin air on the table, his whole body tensing up. He hadn't forgotten that he had used a key to unlock the office door before entering.
Who put this document in? And how did they get into the police station and open the office door to put it in?
Unable to find the answer, Huang Tai'an opened the things on the desktop. Inside were several notebooks; he opened one to look inside.
Huang Tai'an was stunned when he saw them. These notebooks were full of records, including when gifts were given, who received what, and complete lists of names.
There was a note under the notebook, saying that the evidence was obtained unintentionally and that the person was terrified and had no choice but to take it to the police station. The note asked for the person's forgiveness if it offended anyone.
Huang Tai'an felt no offense whatsoever, even though he didn't know how this person had managed to sneak into the police station and plant the evidence without anyone noticing. But this person was clearly a friend, not an enemy.
Huang Tai'an immediately consulted his superiors, who then issued orders for his immediate arrest of Wang Laifu. Simultaneously, personnel from Beijing were also dispatched to Shitou Town.
