Chapter 126 Old Lady Su is released, but Su Wenxing can't get out (2/2)

Questioning? Su Wenxing didn't understand why the police wanted to question him. Su Xingran had withdrawn her report, so what else was there to ask? Couldn't she just go home?

Su Wenxing sat nervously for a few minutes before the interrogation room door opened. Two policemen walked in, one carrying documents and the other a notebook.

“Su Wenxing, based on our investigation and the victims’ identification, you have committed robbery. You robbed four people and took their money.”

"Furthermore, Su Wenxing, you have been involved in gambling on multiple occasions, and our police station has solid evidence of this. Do you have any objections to the charges we have brought against you?"

Su Wenxing was dumbfounded, his mind blank. He never expected the police to uncover these things. After succeeding, he hadn't been discovered, clinging to the illusion that he had hidden it well.

Su Wenxing couldn't hear what the police were saying anymore; he just mechanically nodded and signed his name. By the time Su Wenxing came to his senses, he had already been taken to a detention room to await legal trial.

Old Mrs. Su didn't know how she got out of the police station, or how she encountered the village's oxcart in town. When she got back to her doorstep, her expression was blank.

People around her pointed and whispered when they saw her return, but Old Woman Su was completely oblivious. Dragging her exhausted body, she absentmindedly pounded on her door.

Inside the Su family home, only Su Wenli was sleeping, and Old Man Su was paralyzed in bed. Old Woman Su knocked on the door for a long time, but no one answered. Numbly, she sat down on the threshold.

It wasn't until the afternoon when the workers finished their work in the fields that Su Laoda and the others returned and saw Su Laopo, who was curled up asleep on the doorstep.

"Mother, wake up. Why don't you come inside?" Old Master Su nudged his wife's arm. Wenli was home; if his mother came back and slept at the door instead of coming in, wouldn't people laugh at him? Old Master Su thought to himself.

Old Mrs. Su, who had been woken up, saw her eldest son and the others standing at the door. She burst into tears, crying harder and harder until her body was convulsing.

"Mom, why are you crying? Stop crying, or people will laugh at you. Let's hurry inside. Where's Wenxing? Did he go inside first?" When Su Laoda saw his mother crying, his first thought was that she would be embarrassed, and he wanted her to hurry inside.

Upon hearing Su Wenxing's name, Old Mrs. Su lost control even more and cried even harder. Neighbors who heard the crying all rushed over to see what was going on.

When Su Laoda saw someone approaching, and no one came to open the door, he got angry and shouted "Su Wenli!" a few times, waking Su Wenli who was sleeping in her room. Hearing her father's roar, she quickly got up and opened the door.

The door was opened, and Old Master Su, suppressing his anger, pulled Old Lady Su inside. He slammed the door shut, cutting off the onlookers' view.

Back inside, Old Master Su couldn't help but ask his wife, "Mother, why are you crying? And where did Wenxing go?"

After a good cry, Old Lady Su finally came to her senses. "Boss, Wenxing can't get out, boohoo... boohoo."

"Mother, what did you say? What do you mean Wenxing can't get out?" Zhao Xiaohua grabbed Old Lady Su's shoulder and asked.

“Wenxing committed a crime. The police said he robbed and gambled. He will be sentenced for this.”

The Su family was shocked to hear that Su Wenxing had committed robbery and gambling. They had no idea about these things.

"Hey, Xiaohua, what happened to you?" Boss Su exclaimed in surprise, only to see Zhao Xiaohua lying on the ground, unconscious.
