Chapter 149 Fight (1/2)

Su Xingran, on the train, was unaware of the frantic anxiety of those outside. She watched as most of the passengers disembarked. Once everyone had gotten off, only she and the man watching her from behind remained.

As Su Xingran was about to step off the train, a large, forceful hand pulled her back. Startled, Su Xingran opened her mouth to scream, but someone covered her mouth with a hand, and something pressed against her waist.

A chilling voice rang out, "Don't shout, don't struggle, just obey my commands. Otherwise, don't blame me for losing control of my gun and shooting you through."

Su Xingran trembled all over, her eyes and face filled with fear. She nodded repeatedly, indicating that she would obey.

"Go towards the restroom. You'd better walk steadily. If you fall, I'll shoot your leg through and you won't be able to walk anymore."

Nodding, Su Xingran's body trembled, and she moved her feet cautiously. Unseen by the man, Su Xingran's face showed no trace of fear or panic.

"Mo Li, what should we do? That man has taken a girl hostage." The speaker was a young man who asked in a low voice to another person.

Gu Moli hid in the front carriage, his eyes fixed on the girl being held hostage. He recognized her; she was Su Xingran, his uncle's apprentice. He had heard from his older brother, Gu Moting, that she had been admitted to Beijing University and was the top scorer in the liberal arts category.

Gu Moli had some questions. He had heard that his uncle had returned to Sujia Village to accompany him during the exam, so why was Su Xingran the only one in Beijing now?

Now is not the time to think about these things; Gu Moli was somewhat worried about this frail girl. This man was very cunning; another comrade had followed him before he boarded the train, but he was quickly discovered.

Gu Moli and her current comrade-in-arms went unnoticed and boarded the train with the man. The train was crowded, and they had no opportunity to act, fearing they might endanger innocent civilians.

Su Xingran was unaware that two soldiers were lurking ahead. She was mentally calculating where to make her move. The man had called her into the restroom; he probably wanted to retrieve the map he had hidden in his luggage.

After getting the map, she knew she would either be knocked unconscious or killed. Seeing that the bathroom was not far away, Su Xingran prepared to act. Outside, she had a chance to escape; in the confined space of the bathroom, with a gun, she had no chance of hiding.

Su Xingran quietly took the silver needles out of her spatial storage and held them between her two fingertips. She was going to deal with the right hand holding the gun.

Duan Yuming and Gu Moting quietly slipped into the carriage and saw the man's back. Judging from his movements, they realized he had taken Xingran hostage.

The man felt something was off behind him, so he turned around. But there was nothing there. He figured he was just being too tense and suspicious the whole way.

Just as the man was about to turn around, Gu Moting and Duan Yuming quickly hid in their sleeper berths. They hadn't expected this man to have such strong counter-surveillance skills. If they hadn't hidden quickly, they would have already been discovered.

Unbeknownst to Su Xingran, she was surrounded by people, with the man holding her hostage caught in the middle. The restroom was just a few steps away. Operating the silver needles in her hand was somewhat difficult, given the gun was constantly pressed against her waist.

Su Xingran deliberately staggered, slightly increasing the distance between them. The man was startled by Su Xingran's sudden movement and released his left hand from her mouth.

The man realized what was happening and, worried that Su Xingran would scream, immediately grabbed her with both hands. At that moment, Su Xingran quickly dodged to the side and then launched an attack on the man.

Su Xingran kicked the man, who stumbled back a few steps. "So you're a trained fighter, you've been hiding it well," the man said, looking at Su Xingran with a sinister gaze.
