Su Xingran suddenly remembered the incident at the department store, recalling the look in Wei Baozhu's eyes as she ran away. A wave of unease washed over Su Xingran; she couldn't let Xiao Xue go back alone.
Su Xingran rushed to Xiao Xue's class, where her classmates told her that Xiao Xue had left a while ago. Su Xingran said "thank you" and quickly ran to find her bicycle to catch up with her.
Riding her bicycle, Su Xingran chased after Xiao Xue outside the school gate, but she didn't see her. Her unease grew stronger, and Su Xingran pedaled her bicycle desperately.
From a distance, Su Xingran saw someone running in her direction, with others following behind. When they were not far away, she realized that the person running was Xiao Xue, and someone was chasing her.
Su Xingran continued to speed up her bicycle ride, watching helplessly as Xiao Xue was struck by a stick and finally fell to the ground. When Su Xingran arrived, the three thugs were already raising their sticks.
Xiao Xue knew she couldn't escape today; the pain from the two blows she received brought tears to her eyes. Hearing the thugs yell "Start hitting me!", Xiao Xue utterly despaired.
"Stop!" a woman's voice came from behind. Then one of the thugs was kicked to the ground. The two thugs who were standing heard the voice but hadn't even had time to react before they saw their companion being kicked down.
Su Xingran snatched the stick from the thug on the ground. Her eyes were filled with endless indifference. She couldn't imagine what kind of torture she would have suffered if she hadn't caught up with Xiao Xue. Since they could even lay a hand on an unarmed girl, she wasn't going to let these scumbags get away with it so easily today.
Su Xingran raised the stick in her hand and struck the two standing men hard. Several loud bangs were followed by a scream of pain as Su Xingran blew one of their heads off.
The other man was somewhat frightened by the murderous Su Xingran, but he still fought her with his stick. After a few moves, Su Xingran found an opening and struck the man's hand hard with her stick.
"Ouch...it hurts so much...my hand is going to break!" The man whose hand had been hit dropped the stick on the ground and howled in pain as he grabbed the hand that had been hit with his other hand.
Su Xingran didn't care whether his hand was broken or not; she continued to beat the man with the stick, as long as he wasn't killed and remained alive. Soon, the man collapsed to the ground, writhing in pain.
The man who was first kicked down was terrified when he saw this. This wasn't human; it was a demon, a black and white ghost come to take lives. He wanted to run, but if he didn't, he would probably lose his life here.
Su Xingran hadn't forgotten the man she'd kicked. Turning around, she saw him trying to escape. Su Xingran threw the stick she was holding at him; it struck the man in the back with a loud thud.
"Ah!" the man screamed as Su Xingran grabbed him from behind by the collar and yanked him back, throwing him to the ground with an over-the-shoulder throw. A barrage of punches followed, leaving the man screaming in agony.
As the man's screams grew fainter, Su Xingran finally stopped. Looking at the three badly injured men on the ground, she knew they had no chance of escape.
Su Xingran knelt down in front of Xiao Xue and took Xiao Xue's hand in hers, who was still frightened. "Sister-in-law Xiao Xue, I'm sorry I'm late and made you suffer."
"Waaaaah...waaaah," Xiao Xue cried, hugging Su Xingran. She thought that even if she didn't die tonight, she would be crippled. Luckily, Xingran came and saved her.
