Chapter 24 Su's Father Plays the Green Tea Girl (2/2)

Everyone knows how my parents treated me. They arranged everything for my older brother, even providing rooms for their babies who were still in their arms, but kicked me, their youngest son, out without giving me a penny. If it weren't for my grandfather's pity, my family of three would have had to sleep on the streets and leave the house to me. We would have been homeless.

At this point, Su's father wiped his eyes and wiped away non-existent tears. He paused for a moment, then continued his performance.

As the son, I can't hold my parents accountable no matter how wrong they are, since I'm not as popular with them as my older brother! I've also dragged my wife, Huilan, into this mess, making her suffer along with me, and even our newborn Ranran is suffering with my parents.

Look at my eldest brother's children, they're all like my eldest brother and sister-in-law, big-shouldered and thick-waisted, with faces as big as plates. Actually, Su Wenli isn't like what her father said, but the other children really are like that.

Look at my Ranran. She's been skin and bones and weak since she was little, all because she doesn't eat well. Whenever there's something good to eat at home, something that should be good for her to nourish her body, my parents or my sister-in-law will come and take it away. If Huilan wants to save it for the child, they'll snatch it away.

It's my fault as a father; I can't even provide enough food for my child. My son doesn't please my parents, and by extension, my granddaughter doesn't get their favor either.

Since she was little, Ranran has been afraid of seeing her grandparents. Every time her mother sees Ranran, she scolds her, calling her a money-loser and a short-lived ghost. Her father always has a dark face. So Ranran is not only afraid of her parents, but also terrified of them.

Ranran was perfectly fine today. Even when my parents, older brother, and sister-in-law came to our house and asked her to give up her master to Wenli, she didn't get angry; she just refused.

The reason Ranran was provoked was that her master had sworn an oath, a very serious one, that she was his only disciple, yet her grandfather was still pressuring her. Ranran probably felt that her grandfather wanted to kill her master, and recalling the unfair treatment her family had received over the years, Ranran suddenly lost control of her emotions and became violent.

That's how it is. My older brother and his friends said something careless, and Ranran was once again agitated and became disoriented. She mistook them for bad people and tried to drive them out. Ranran had previously bumped her head and was still unconscious, so she was occasionally disoriented. My parents, older brother, and sister-in-law probably hit Ranran as well. When they couldn't reach her, she fell down, and in the chaos, my older brother, sister-in-law, and parents started fighting each other.

Think about it, my Ranran is only twelve years old. How could she possibly be able to beat up four adults with her physique? Anyone who believes Ranran can beat up four adults must be out of their mind.

Sigh, if this whole mess damages Ranran's reputation, Doctor Huang might kick her out of the school. Just now, when I pushed my older brother and parents out, they were the ones who tried to rush into Ranran's room, hoping to wake her up and let her leave her master.

Look at this mess, I don't know what to do. Second brother, you're too honest. Your parents are making such a fuss because they want to ruin your Ranran's reputation. Normal people take on apprentices based on character and reputation. If your Ranran loses her reputation, Doctor Huang will think she's morally deficient and might kick her out of the school.

This way, your eldest brother's daughter, Wenli, will have the opportunity to become Doctor Huang's apprentice. I never expected that Old Man Su, Old Woman Su, and the eldest son of the Su family would be so shameless as to ruin Xingran like this in order to make Wenli Doctor Huang's apprentice.

Didn't you see? When Su Lao Er said those things, they didn't refute him and slunk away. They were obviously guilty.

What if my daughter Ranran is mentally unstable and mistakes someone for someone else, causing her grandparents, uncle, and aunt to accidentally hurt her? My older brother just threatened me, saying that I either have to pay compensation or let his daughter Wenli become Dr. Huang's apprentice.

Ignore them. They're just trying to get your family to pay compensation and force you to hand over Master Xingran. Second brother, your eldest brother's family even pressured your family to pay money the other day, saying that his Wenli saved your Xingran, but it turned out to be false. Their purpose is just to extort money from you.
