"And for those patients who are still able to move, if they try to take advantage of us, we women, even medical staff, can call the police. Patients in the hospital rely on medical staff for care. If they feel the medical staff aren't doing a good enough job, they can go home and rest, and let their family members take care of them. This family member, do you agree with what I'm saying?"
The woman met Su Xingran's gaze and opened her mouth to speak. But Su Xingran's eyes sent a chill down her spine. She knew that this young female doctor was not someone she could bully at will.
Shen Qiu watched from the side, a hint of a smile flashing in her eyes. The nurse had just gone to her, saying that Dr. Su might be in trouble, and the nurse had explained the situation. Shen Qiu had rushed over immediately, worried that Su Xingran might be wronged.
Now it seems that Su Xingran would never accept the grievances that Shen Qiu felt. The more anxious she gets, the more confused she becomes; she's completely forgotten that this girl dared to go to the battlefield to fight the enemy.
The woman remembered her son in the ward and quickly went inside. Su Xingran called out to Shen Qiu, "Director Shen, what brings you here?"
Shen Qiu pointed towards the nurses and said as she walked, "You've already saved the damsel in distress, how could I not come and see? If a fight breaks out, I'm worried I'll have to go to the police station to bail you out. Then everyone will recognize you as the bravest female doctor, or perhaps the female doctor with the hardest fists."
Upon hearing Shen Qiu's words, Su Xingran couldn't help but smile. How could she possibly act openly and honestly? At most, she would resort to underhanded tactics. These scumbags didn't deserve to tarnish her reputation.
The man lying on the hospital bed stared blankly at the ceiling. The words the female doctor had spoken before leaving echoed in his ears. He felt a chill run through him; this woman really could kill.
The man then remembered that he had a criminal record, and the police would come to arrest him as soon as he felt better. His cousin's knife wound had really hurt, and the female doctor's scalpel had been chillingly cold.
The man's mother came in and saw her son staring blankly. She called out to him a few times before he came to his senses. The woman asked him, "Son, what's wrong? Did that female doctor do something?"
The man remembered the female doctor's warning: if he continued to make a scene, she would send him to a mental hospital. He was genuinely afraid that the female doctor would label him mentally ill and send him to a mental hospital.
The man, still somewhat shaken, said to the woman, "Mother, while I'm in the hospital, please be polite to the doctors and nurses here. I'm counting on them to heal my injuries!"
The man's mother didn't know why her son had changed so much, but there was one thing she agreed with. Her son was still in the hospital, and he had offended the doctors and nurses; it was bad that they were deliberately making his recovery difficult.
When the nurses came back into the ward to disinfect the man's wound, he didn't dare to utter a sound, even though it hurt. His mother also didn't dare to interfere and quietly watched from the side.
The nurses at the hospital practically worshipped Su Xingran. Although no one knew what had happened in the ward that day, they knew that after that day, they wouldn't have to suffer the grievances inflicted by that patient anymore.
