Chapter 258 Surgical Documentary (1/2)

Dean Sun stormed up to Su Xingran, glaring at Dean Wang. Dean Sun had learned last night that Su Xingran had successfully performed surgery and saved the injured person. He woke up this morning with a bad feeling; that Wang guy was probably going to try and take her away.

Dean Sun returned to the hospital early in the morning and quickly took a car to the General Military Region Hospital. Unexpectedly, he actually overheard that the man surnamed Wang was trying to snatch the person away with his hospital's doctors.

Seeing Dean Sun, Su Xingran was somewhat surprised, while Dean Wang next to her looked around awkwardly. Dean Wang hadn't expected Dr. Sun to be here.

Seeing that the atmosphere was not right, Su Xingran said to Dean Wang, "Dean Wang, thank you for your suggestion, but I have no intention of changing hospitals. As for these two doctors, if you think I can provide guidance on this issue, I can go home and organize my notes on this topic, and then send them to you for reference."

Dean Wang said with a regretful expression, "Alright then! I hope to work with Dr. Su in the future."

The two doctors were overjoyed. "Thank you, Dr. Su. You are so kind-hearted. To our shame, we didn't understand yesterday why our leader would invite such a young doctor. It turns out that excellent medical skills have no age limit."

Su Xingran glanced at Dean Sun, who was still glaring at Dean Wang, and said helplessly, "Dean Sun, I can leave now. Let's go!"

Dean Sun snorted at Dean Wang, then turned and left. Su Xingran said goodbye to Dean Wang and the others, and followed Dean Sun out.

When they reached the parking area outside, Dean Sun stopped. He hesitated for a moment before asking Su Xingran, "Dr. Su, actually... actually, what Mr. Wang said is also correct. The General Military Region Hospital is more famous than our hospital. With your excellent medical skills, you will reach a higher level at the General Military Region Hospital."

Su Xingran said to Dean Sun very seriously, "Dean, everyone wants fame and fortune, but I haven't thought about that right now. I'm not just a doctor in this hospital, I'm also a military doctor. If there's a need for a transfer in the future, I can only cooperate. But I have no intention of leaving the hospital to work at another hospital at the moment."

Dean Sun explained, "Dean Wang and I graduated from the same university. To put it in terms of mentors, we're like senior and junior brothers. He's always been the type to take talented people under his wing. We've been bickering since we were young, and he even tried to recruit Chen Qiu before! That's just how we get along."

Su Xingran had noticed it earlier: although Dean Sun was glaring at Dean Wang, there was no anger in his eyes. Dean Wang, on the other hand, seemed uncomfortable, as if he had been caught red-handed.

Su Xingran returned home in a car arranged by Secretary Chen. Huang Zhenhua is no longer a professor at the university; he's retired and now occasionally visits a pharmacy or meets up with old friends.

Upon seeing Su Xingran return, Huang Zhenhua asked her, "Xingran, what happened yesterday? Xiaoyun and Moting came over and said you were resting in the hospital."

After sitting down and drinking a glass of water, Su Xingran said, "Master, yesterday I was at work when my superiors sent someone to pick me up and take me to the General Military Region Hospital. There was a wounded man who had been shot in the left chest. The General Military Region Hospital has a doctor who specializes in this area, but he went out of town and hasn't returned yet."

"Other doctors at the hospital weren't confident, worried that the injured person wouldn't survive the operation. The supervisor asked me if I could perform the surgery and how confident I was. I only said that the surgery would give the patient a chance to live, and then the supervisor asked me to perform the surgery."

Thinking back to the scene in the operating room yesterday, Su Xingran continued to say to her mentor, "Mentor, the whole process was recorded on video. The leaders were very thoughtful. Even if the injured person couldn't get off the operating table, at least there would be video footage so people could see the rescue efforts. That way, I wouldn't have to bear any charges."
