Chapter 27 Waking Up from a Nightmare (1/2)

Su Xingran searched for a long time in the darkness for a place with light, but she couldn't find it. But she didn't give up. She heard her parents calling, her mother crying, and her father's low, sorrowful sobs.

She was like a lone bird abandoned in the darkness, flapping her wounded wings and desperately searching for hope. She was so tired, but she couldn't give up or stop. If she stopped, she would only remain in the darkness forever and be swallowed up.

Su's parents kept watching and waiting for Su Xingran to wake up, but although her hands and eyelids kept moving, she didn't wake up. Su's father thought it would be better to call Uncle Huang in to check on her since she hadn't woken up, so he turned and left the room.

In the main hall, Dr. Huang, who was reading a manuscript, saw Su's father approaching nervously. "What's wrong with the people? Has Xingran made some move?"

"Uncle Huang, Ranran moved her hand and her eyelids moved, but she still hasn't woken up." Father Su's voice trembled with anxiety.

Dr. Huang went into the room to check on Su Xingran's condition. Her hand moved, and her eyelids twitched, clearly a sign that she was about to wake up.

He placed his hand on Su Xingran's pulse, his expression shifting from calm to serious and then to knowing. "Huilan, Guomin, you two come over to Xingran and keep calling her. I'll stimulate her Baihui acupoint with acupuncture."

Su's parents quickly came over and sat on either side of the bed, holding Su Xingran's hands and calling her name. "Ranran, Ranran, wake up, wake up! Dad is waiting for you, Mom is waiting for you."

The couple kept calling out, and Dr. Huang was applying acupuncture to stimulate her. Soon, Su Xingran's hand movements became more and more exaggerated, her eyelids trembled faster than before, and her feet also began to move.

In the darkness of her nightmare, Su Xingran followed her parents' voices, walking and walking until she finally saw light ahead. She smiled; she had found her way home. Just ahead, she saw her parents' figures, beckoning to her. "Ranran, come quickly, come quickly, Daddy and Mommy will take you home..."

Su Xingran ran quickly towards the path where her parents were, falling down and getting up to keep running. The road was long and she was very tired, but at the end of the road were people waiting for her, and there was her light and future.

Finally, she ran to her parents and threw herself into their outstretched arms to catch her.

Su Xingran, who was lying in the room, suddenly opened her eyes, tears streaming down her face. Her parents and she had gone home.

"Ranran, you're awake!" Su's parents exclaimed simultaneously, their voices trembling with excitement. Su Xingran turned her head slightly and saw the three people standing in front of her.

"Father, Mother, Master," her voice was hoarse, weak, and powerless. Just as Su's parents were about to respond joyfully, Su Xingran, whose eyes were open, suddenly closed them again.

Ranran and Xingran's actions startled the three people standing there. Doctor Huang quickly stepped forward, took her hand to check her pulse, and her furrowed brows, which had been tightly furrowed with worry, gradually relaxed. After taking her pulse, he put his hand down and looked at Su's anxious parents.

Dr. Huang shook his head; Xingran was fine. Having struggled to emerge from the nightmare, experiencing extreme emotional fluctuations, she was simply exhausted.

Hearing Dr. Huang's words, the two felt a little relieved. Let Xingran get a good night's sleep; we'll make plans after she wakes up.

Only Su Xingran, who was asleep, and her mother, sitting beside her, remained in the room. The mother gently stroked Su Xingran's cheek, her eyes filled with heartache and tenderness. She tucked Su Xingran in, stood by the bed for a while, sighed, and turned to leave the room.

Su's father and Doctor Huang sat at the table in the main hall, and Su's mother went over and sat down as well. The three of them remained silent for a moment, thinking about Su Xingran's problem.
