Chapter 64 Su Xingran's Changes, Proposing to the Principal to Retain Her Student Status and Return Home to Study (2/2)

Duan Yuming thought to himself that Su Xingran was a good candidate for the army, but he only dared to think it to himself and didn't dare to say it out loud. If Uncle Huang knew that he was eyeing Su Xingran, he would definitely not let him off the hook. Uncle Huang had finally found her, his only daughter. As the heir of his Huang family's century-old medical tradition, anyone who dared to make a move on her would be dealt with by Uncle Huang.

Because Su Xingran had already completed junior high and high school in her previous life, she felt she knew everything and didn't want to waste time in school. On the first day of the new semester after summer vacation, she went to find the school principal.

Principal Zheng, I'm Su Xingran, a student who just entered the second year of junior high school. I have something to discuss with you. I've already finished studying the junior high school material on my own, and there's not much point in studying in the classroom. So, I'd like to apply to have my student status and place retained at school, and then review at home. I'll come to school to take the midterm and final exams, is that alright?

Principal Zheng, with his kind face and glasses, was taken aback by the girl's words. He recognized her; she was consistently among the top students in her class, and her homeroom teacher had even told him that if she maintained her current grades, she would definitely get into the best high school in town.

Su, do you mean that you have already completed the entire junior high school curriculum on your own and want to apply to retain your student status and place in the school, then go home to review, and then come back to school to take the midterm and final exams, right?

Principal Zheng, yes, that's what I think. Every day when I come to school, I learn knowledge that I've already learned and have in my head. I've discussed it with my parents, and they both agree with my approach.

"Su, let me discuss this with your homeroom teacher. We'll get back to you after we've discussed it, okay?" Principal Zheng wasn't angry that the student said she wanted to go home to study and wouldn't stay at school for class. He quite admired Su Xingran for her straightforwardness and for expressing her thoughts. Of course, admiration aside, he still needed to put her through the test before making a decision.

Back in the classroom, Su Xingran found her seat. Behind her sat the village chief's daughter, Su Guo, who nudged her in the back. "Xingran, where were you? I didn't see you in the classroom."

Su Xingran turned around and looked at Su Guo, whose face was still a little chubby. "I just went to the principal's office to talk to him about something. As for what it is, I haven't given you an answer yet, but you'll know when I do."

Before the last class in the afternoon, the homeroom teacher came to the classroom to see Su Xingran. "Su, come out for a moment, I need to talk to you." Su Xingran followed the homeroom teacher to the principal's office. When she arrived, in addition to the principal, there were several school directors and teachers.

Dear Su, you've arrived. After discussion at our school, regarding your request to retain your student status and degree while studying at home, we'd like to conduct a test to assess your performance and see if it aligns with your proposed plan. Do you agree? If so, please come to our office the day after tomorrow morning. I and two other teachers will proctor the test.

Thank you, Principal and all the teachers, for taking my idea into consideration. I agree to the exam to assess my performance. If there's nothing else, I'll head back to the classroom. Leaving the principal's office, Su Xingran breathed a sigh of relief. If she passed the exam the day after tomorrow, she wouldn't need to come to school anymore. This would give her more time to do her own things.
