Su Xingran only learned the next day that the Su family had come to her master's house asking for his help. She was so angry that they actually went to her master's house to cause trouble.
Su Xingran was plotting in her heart to teach the Su family a lesson. Otherwise, their constant antics were too annoying, especially since the old man Su would be a complete mess if it weren't for him.
When Su Laoda woke up, he found himself lying on the floor, his whole body aching, and his face was swollen and painful. He had heard someone knocking on his window and calling him when he was getting ready to sleep at home last night.
He thought someone from the village was looking for him, so he opened the door and went out. As soon as he stepped out the door, someone put something over his head, and then a barrage of fists rained down on him.
He didn't know how long the man had been beating him. At first, he could still groan a few times from the pain, but later he simply passed out. When he woke up, he found himself sleeping on the floor by the door.
Su tried to stand up, but the pain was too much for him to move. It was still dark outside and no one was around. He could only crawl towards his doorstep.
He climbed into the house and knocked over a stool, the sound attracting the attention of Su Wenye, who was up to use the outhouse.
Who? Who's there? Su Wenye was still half asleep when he was startled by the noise. The sound was so loud, it didn't seem like a mouse was making it; he thought a thief had broken into his house.
I am your father. When Su Laoda was beaten, he was punched in the mouth, and his lips are still sore and swollen. In addition, he lay on the ground outside the door for several hours, so his speech is not very clear, and his voice is different from usual.
"Damn it, I'm your father, you damned thief!" Su Wenye picked up a stool and, in the dim moonlight, saw the person lying on the ground. Without saying a word, he went forward and slammed the stool down on the person.
A series of eerie howls startled the sleeping members of the Su family awake. "What's wrong? What's wrong?" Old Man Su and Old Woman Su lit their kerosene lamps and went into the house to ask.
Zhao Xiaohua also came out. What's wrong? It's not even dawn yet. What are you doing in the main hall instead of sleeping in your room? She came out to a spot right next to Su Wenye, so she saw him immediately.
A thief broke in. I got up to use the outhouse and heard the noise. I asked who it was. He said it was my dad, but his voice didn't sound like my dad at all, so I picked up a stool and hit him with it. Su Wenxing was also speechless; he had never seen such an arrogant thief.
"Oh my god, oh my god, boss, what are you doing lying on the ground?" Old Mrs. Su approached with her kerosene lamp and saw that the person lying on the ground was not a thief at all, but her own boss.
Huh? Su Wenye was instantly wide awake upon hearing his grandmother's words. He realized that the person lying on the ground who had hit him with the stool was his own father.
As soon as Zhao Xiaohua heard her mother-in-law say it was the eldest son, she quickly took the kerosene lamp from her mother-in-law's hand and squatted down to check. What she saw was horrifying; the eldest son was holding his head and his hands were covered in blood.
"Wenye, come quick! Help me lift your dad up. He's bleeding from a head wound!" Zhao Xiaohua's shout startled Su Wenye, who quickly realized what was happening and helped lift his father up.
Several people managed to help Su Laoda up and put him on a chair, still groaning in pain. Zhao Xiaohua found a towel and pressed it against the bleeding area. "Laoda, why aren't you sleeping in the main hall?"
"Boss, what happened to your face and mouth? Why are they all swollen?" Only when Boss Su took his hands away from his head did Zhao Xiaohua see his face.
This has nothing to do with me. I only knocked once. Su Wenye saw the injury on his father's face; it was swollen like a pig's head. He couldn't admit that he was the one who hit him.
