Chapter 144 "No Banners Allowed!"

She bought two goldfish on the way, and to make it easier to hold the fish tank with both hands, she swung her handbag behind her.

She had no sense of danger whatsoever, unaware that carrying a bag like that in a crowded place makes her an easy target for thieves.

Huo Zhenduo and his two brothers leaned against a tree, smoking. They looked languid, their half-closed eyes watching Ru Mei, who was hopping around in the market like a rabbit.

His two brothers next to him were doing the same, discussing it as if they were watching a good show.

Brother A: "That woman who looks like an idiot has been targeted by two pickpockets."

Brother B: "No, that's not right, there are three."

Brother A looked closely and said, "There really are three. Wow."

Brother B: "When she bought fish, she pulled out a wad of cash, casually stuffed it into her bag, and carried the bag so carelessly. Who else would she steal from if not her?"

Brother A: "Now we just wait for the three pickpockets to decide the winner."

Brother B chuckled and said, "But this woman is really beautiful, as white as if her mother had applied a layer of plaster! Do you think I should go up and play the hero? She might just offer herself to me!"

Brother A grinned lewdly, "Then give it a try. If you succeed, don't forget me. I'll have your wife introduce me to someone."

"Brother Huo..." Brother B turned his head, about to say something to Huo Zhenduo, when he saw Huo Zhenduo throw away his cigarette butt and stride away in one direction.

Huo Zhenduo walked up behind Ru Mei and grabbed her hand that was reaching for her backpack.

The thief thought he had kept a low profile, but he was caught and tried to break free and run away.

But the grip was like an iron clamp, impossible to break free from.

The thief's heart sank; he knew he had encountered no ordinary person.

"Do you know whose territory this is?" Huo Zhenduo said coldly.

The thief was stunned for a moment, then looked at Huo Zhenduo's facial features and his heart sank even further. "I'm sorry, Brother Huo, I will never do it again."

In reality, theft doesn't cause any loss to the market. Taking care of one's belongings is everyone's responsibility; the market has no obligation to interfere.

Furthermore, in a sense, the black market and thieves belong to the same world.

When someone like Huo Zhenduo sees a thief stealing, it's no exaggeration to say that he has shown great compassion by standing up for justice.

The thief, feeling unlucky, begged for leniency. Huo Zhenduo simply warned him that the thief was not allowed to appear in his establishment again.

Ru Mei heard the voices behind her and turned around. She learned that she had been robbed and that Huo Zhenduo had saved her property.

Ru Mei was so moved that she didn't know what to say.

"Huo Zhenduo, what a coincidence that it was you who helped me again."

"I owe you another favor."

How can I thank you?

Huo Zhenduo's expression was initially normal, but it cracked as he heard the last part.

He frowned and warned, "No banners allowed!"
