Chapter 215 Celebrating the New Year in Haowan Village (1)

With the sleeper ticket provided by Zhou Weiguang, the three-day, three-night train journey wasn't so unbearable.

Zhou Sheng is just too difficult to manage.

The child was very energetic, running back and forth between the carriages.

Qin Hanshu was worried that he might encounter human traffickers, and if he disappeared, she would have to go and find him.

I'm mentally exhausted.

Seeing this, Zhou Chi said to Zhou Sheng in a gentle manner, "Little brother, please stop running around and stay quietly in this workshop, okay?"

Zhou Sheng immediately answered loudly, "Okay!"

Then she obediently sat down next to her brother and curiously looked at the book he was reading.

He is only five years old, doesn't like to study, and only knows a few numbers.

Although he couldn't understand it, he read it with great interest.

The two brothers sat side by side, unusually harmonious and quiet.

Qin Hanshu didn't take it seriously at all. It was a wonder Zhou Sheng would listen to her; he would probably sneak out in less than half an hour.

However, Qin Hanshu was wrong. Zhou Sheng really did quiet down! He stayed next to Zhou Chi for two or three hours without moving, only occasionally asking Zhou Chi some strange questions, which Zhou Chi patiently answered.

Qin Hanshu's gaze darted back and forth between the two brothers.

Zhou Chi was thin and weak, while Zhou Sheng was strong and robust. The two were five years apart in age, and Zhou Chi was only slightly taller than Zhou Sheng, and not even as sturdy as Zhou Sheng.

Zhou Chi was actually able to control Zhou Sheng.

Qin Hanshu quietly asked Zhou Chi, "Why does he listen to you so much?"

Zhou Chi thought for a moment, "I don't know either, maybe they admire me."

Qin Hanshu: "......"

It's a bit sour; the little brat won't listen to her.

Fortunately, with Zhou Chi in charge, Zhou Sheng finally calmed down, and the journey ended safely.

Zhu Jingsu came to pick them up, accompanied by a driver.

Seeing that Qin Hanshu had also brought a television, she exclaimed in surprise, "This brand is imported, it must be very expensive, right?"

Qin Hanshu whispered, "It's alright, it's more than half a year's salary for Wei Guang."

Zhu Jingsu disagreed, saying, "You usually send enough things home, and you spend so much on this trip back! You also have to make a living, so you can't spend money so recklessly. We've got your parents here."

Zhu Jingsu hadn't seen a TV at Qin Hanshu's house last time, so she assumed that her younger brother and sister-in-law were saving money to prioritize the elderly.

Actually, Qin Hanshu hadn't even thought about buying anything for her home. If Qin Feiyang hadn't suggested it, she wouldn't have thought of bringing back a TV.

Qin Hanshu instructed Zhu Jingsu: "If your parents ask, just say you only spent five hundred, so they won't feel bad about the money."

Zhu Jingsu laughed and said, "Five hundred yuan is not a small amount; they would be heartbroken to death over it."

The two children remembered that it hadn't been long since they last saw Zhu Jingsu, and they greeted her warmly as "Second Aunt".

Zhu Jingsu took one in each hand and led them to the car first.

"My parents knew you were coming today, so they started preparing as soon as they got up this morning. They even hired a chef to hold a feast at home."

Qin Hanshu chuckled and said, "Is it really that serious? It's just visiting family."

Zhu Jingsu: "It's not that exaggerated. We just invited a lot of relatives and some people from the village. I guess we'll have about seven or eight tables."

The main reason is that Qin Hanshu and Zhou Weiguang never held their wedding at home. Although they know Zhou Weiguang still won't be coming back this time, it's still a good opportunity for their daughter-in-law and grandson to appear in front of their relatives.

The jeep couldn't go any further at the village entrance, so we had to get out and walk.

Early on, Zhou Ruilan was already waiting at the village entrance. As soon as she saw Qin Hanshu, she rushed over without any awkwardness.

"Third sister-in-law! You haven't changed at all."

Qin Hanshu also grabbed Zhou Ruilan and exclaimed happily, "Orchid!"

Zhou Ruilan has changed a lot; her complexion is sallow and haggard, and the signs of aging are quite evident. She doesn't even look as young as Zhu Jingsu.

Zhu Jingsu is about ten years older than Zhou Ruilan.

Zhou Ruilan pulled a little girl behind her forward, "This is my daughter, her name is Yang Le."

"Lele, this is your third aunt. And those two must be Zhou Chi and Zhou Sheng, right? You should call one 'brother' and the other 'brother'."

Qin Hanshu reached out to hug Yang Le, but the little girl was very timid. She turned her head and hugged Zhou Ruilan's leg, burying her face in her arms.

Zhou Ruilan gently patted her, "This child, doesn't she even greet people?"

Qin Hanshu waved her hand and said, "It's normal for children to be shy around strangers. It's okay, they'll get used to it once they're familiar with each other."

Qin Hanshu turned and called Zhou Chi and Zhou Sheng over, asking them to call for help.

Even though Zhou Chi was quiet, she was also very outgoing and not shy at all. Zhou Sheng was even more so; she was friendly with everyone and a chatterbox.

Zhou Ruilan was so happy that she wanted to give the two children red envelopes.

Qin Hanshu declined a couple of times, then stopped insisting. She had also prepared many red envelopes, which she would give to the children when she returned.

Zhou Chi and Zhou Sheng received their mother's signal, took the red envelope, and said in a crisp voice, "Thank you, Auntie."

As I walked home, more and more people gathered to watch the spectacle.

Qin Hanshu hadn't returned to Haowan Village for nearly ten years, and he no longer recognized many of the villagers.

However, everyone remembers her, saying she hasn't changed at all and they can recognize her at a glance.

Suddenly, someone in the crowd called her name.

Qin Hanshu looked over and saw that they were two women.

She stared at them for a while before recognizing them as Zhao Ru and Liao Yujie.

Zhao Ru and Liao Yujie both wore a cloth on their heads, just like many local women, so she didn't recognize them at first glance.

She walked over and greeted the two of them.

Liao Yujie exclaimed excitedly, "You've made it big now! Your husband got promoted? He brought so much stuff back to visit! Is that square box a TV?"
