"Xiao Shu, didn't you buy a TV? Let's install it for Mom and Dad first," Zhu Jingsu said as she came over.
Qin Hanshu was so busy talking to people that all the things she brought back were still piled up there.
Upon hearing Zhu Jingsu's words, she pulled Zhou Ruilan along, saying, "Let's go install a TV."
"A television?" Zhou Ruilan exclaimed excitedly, "You mean one of those boxes that makes little figures pop out? My second brother's workplace has one, I've seen it!"
Installing a TV is simple, but connecting the antenna is a bit troublesome; it takes a long time to find a signal.
A large crowd of people watched curiously, waiting to see what would happen when the box appeared, which made Qin Hanshu sweat a little.
Zhou Chi stood by with his arms crossed for a while and said, "Mom, the signal is weak inside. Let's get an antenna mount outside."
Qin Hanshu looked at him: "You can do it?"
She's a liberal arts student, so she doesn't know how.
Zhou Chi looked at it and said, "The signal cable is too short. It needs to be lengthened. Do you have any copper wire or electrical tape?"
Zhou Chang'an nodded quickly and said, "Yes, there are a lot of tools in the broadcasting room. I'll take you there, and you can take whatever you need."
Zhou Chi went with Zhou Chang'an.
Qin Hanshu paused first.
Although there was no signal and the TV screen was full of static, the onlookers were already getting excited, staring intently at the static and whispering among themselves.
After Zhou Chi returned with Zhou Chang'an, he fiddled with it for more than half an hour and found the signal.
Suddenly, the snowflakes stopped, and a little person really came out of the box.
The little one is still performing!
The television was placed in the room where Zhao Chunmiao and Zhou Chang'an slept. The room was packed with people, and the door and windows were also crowded with people, making the small room completely packed.
The chefs who were hosting the banquet all took advantage of the free time to come over and watch the excitement.
Not to mention the production team, you can't find many television sets in the entire county.
Old Zhou's family has the best of everything in the surrounding area!
The compliments from the crowd were endless, and Zhao Chunmiao and Zhou Chang'an were even more joyful than on their wedding day when they were young!
After a while, Zhao Chunmiao ran over and asked Qin Hanshu, "Xiaoshu, how did the person get into this box? Your aunt just said that the person inside sings really well. Can you call her out and give her some money or something?"
Qin Hanshu chuckled, "You can't name them. You've seen open-air movies, right? You can't name the people in there either. It's the same principle."
Zhao Chunmiao nodded, "Actually, that's what I thought too, but your aunt wouldn't believe me and told me to ask you."
Qin Hanshu looked around the room; it was so crowded that she couldn't even find a way out.
"Mom, since we're happy today, why don't we move the TV outside so everyone can watch it?"
Zhao Chunmiao hesitated, "Your second sister-in-law said this thing costs several hundred yuan, it would be bad if someone broke it."
Qin Hanshu said, "Just move a table and put it securely, nothing will happen."
Zhao Chunmiao asked Zhou Chang'an, who thought for a moment and then waved his hand, saying, "Move out!"
Zhou Chang'an also had the intention of showing off such a rare item.
However, after the television was moved out, Zhou Chang'an sat in the spot closest to the television and refused to move.
When the meal was served, he called a trusted junior colleague to take his place and instructed him: "Make sure to protect the television set!"
When the evening news started at seven o'clock, everyone at the banquet focused their attention on the television screen for most of the time.
Zhou Chang'an was subtly boasting to someone at the table.
"My Weiguang? No way, he's just a regimental commander right now."
"It's not really a matter of who's in charge or not; after all, he only manages about a thousand people."
"But official duties are indeed very busy, and I can't leave without them, which is why I had my daughter-in-law bring my two grandsons back."
"To be honest, my two sons have brought some honor to my old face, but they still have a long way to go..."
Zhao Chunmiao was also very noticeable among the women.
"You're asking who that pretty woman is? That's my youngest daughter-in-law! She's the educated youth, Qin, who was sent to the countryside here. She's already given me two grandsons and she's still a young woman, hehehehe..."
"So filial! Truly filial! She was the one who decided to buy this TV for us today!"
"So what if my Weiguang listens to her? It just means that the young couple has a good relationship! Do you think they're all like your son and daughter-in-law, slapping each other across the face every day?"
"Pah! I don't care. It's a matter between a married couple. Why should an old man meddle?"
......
After being pulled by Zhao Chunmiao to greet all the relatives at the table, Qin Hanshu left the table to find Zhou Sheng.
It was already dark. Two high-wattage light bulbs were strung up in the Zhou family's courtyard, making it brightly lit, which wasn't a problem, but rather the fear that Zhou Sheng might have run outside.
There are many ditches and bumps outside; it would be bad if someone fell into one and got hurt.
The other kids were all sitting in front of the TV, not moving at all. I don't know why Zhou Sheng is so active!
Yang Le slid off the chair, ran to Qin Hanshu's side, and looked up at her, saying, "Third Aunt, what are you looking for? I'll help you."
Yang Le, perhaps because he got along well with Qin Hanshu, became close to her after only a short time.
Qin Hanshu asked, "Have you seen Zhou Sheng?"
Yang Le shook his head.
Just then, Liao Yujie led Zhou Sheng into the Zhou family courtyard.
"Han Shu, is this your second son?" Liao Yujie clicked her tongue and said, "This kid is really naughty. He ran into the livestock shed and insisted on riding the donkey. No matter what his older brother said, he wouldn't listen. But he's so young, how can we let him ride it? I just happened to pass by and saw him, so I brought him back to you."
