Chapter 72 She suddenly became interested in his affairs.

Seeing Qin Hanshu looking over, Zhou Weiguang tensed up and added, "I want to see."

Qin Hanshu looked at Zhou Weiguang with suspicion.

Was he simply indulging in this leisurely pursuit, or...?

In any case, watching movies is the best way to pass the time. By the time one movie is over, Zhou Ruilan's situation will probably be finished.

The county's entertainment facilities are mostly located in this area, and the movie theater is just across the street from the restaurant where they ate.

It's a holiday today, and there are a lot of people outside the movie theater.

There's a designated area for parking bicycles. After locking his bicycle, Zhou Weiguang ran off to buy tickets.

Qin Hanshu saw a vendor selling peanuts and melon seeds, so she bought a bag and two bottles of soda.

Even more people were buying tickets. Zhou Weiguang hadn't come out yet, so Qin Hanshu looked at the posters posted at the cinema entrance with a bored expression.

In remote county cinemas, only two films are shown: "Tunnel Warfare" and "Taking Tiger Mountain by Strategy." During the Spring Festival, they are shown on a loop every day.

Qin Hanshu has seen them all, so it doesn't matter which one you watch.

Zhou Weiguang bought a ticket and came over; it's about tunnel warfare, and we can go in now.

Qin Hanshu handed Zhou Weiguang a bottle of soda, then pointed to her own hand and said, "There are also peanuts and melon seeds. We'll eat them together later."

The peanuts and melon seeds were served in a container folded from newspaper into the shape of a conical hat. One serving was quite a lot, so Qin Hanshu didn't buy any more.

Qin Hanshu also specifically instructed, "Don't be shy, Brother Zhou, we're already so familiar with each other."

With that, the two walked into the screening room.

This movie theater is very basic; the seats are all made of wood and are a long row without any armrests separating them.

But the space is quite large, and every seat was taken.

Qin Hanshu walked ahead, handing over the peanuts, melon seeds, and soda to Zhou Weiguang so they could find a place to sit.

Once she finally sat down, she breathed a sigh of relief and took the soda from Zhou Weiguang's hand.

Zhou Weiguang said, "I'll hold the snacks in my hand, you can eat them."

Since he said that, Qin Hanshu didn't stand on ceremony.

The movie started soon, and the surrounding noise gradually disappeared.

"Tunnel Warfare" is actually a military educational film, which is even more dry than a typical war film.

Qin Hanshu got bored after watching for a while.

A thought struck her, and she looked at Zhou Weiguang beside her, only to find that he was staring intently at the big screen.

Qin Hanshu's heart skipped a beat.

He withdrew his gaze, feeling rather bored.

But she just couldn't get into the movie, and soon she started shifting around in her seat.

The commotion finally caught Zhou Weiguang's attention.

"What's wrong? Did a bug bite you?"

"..." Qin Hanshu was silent for a while before shaking his head and saying, "No, I feel a bit bored."

Zhou Weiguang seemed puzzled, "Watching a movie is boring?"

Qin Hanshu asked, "Haven't you seen 'Tunnel Warfare'?"

Zhou Weiguang said, "I've watched it many times."

Qin Hanshu: "...So you still find it interesting?"

Zhou Weiguang said, "This is an educational film. No matter how many times you watch it, you will always find something new to learn."

Qin Hanshu chuckled twice, "Fine, you watch, I'll peel the sunflower seeds and eat them."

Zhou Weiguang did not speak.

After a while, he patted his pockets and said, "Put the shell in my pocket."

Qin Hanshu paused and looked at Zhou Weiguang.

When Zhou Weiguang met Qin Hanshu's eyes, he looked away in a flustered manner.

Qin Hanshu smiled and nodded, "Okay."

Qin Hanshu peeled peanuts and melon seeds, putting the shells into Zhou Weiguang's pocket, and occasionally placing a kernel into his palm.

The atmosphere suddenly became natural.

Halfway through the movie, a commotion suddenly broke out in the back.

"Stop thief!"

Zhou Weiguang was the first to turn his head to look.

A woman holding a child was seen shouting "Stop thief!" while a middle-aged man in a sheepskin coat was running desperately toward the exit.

There were many people, and the woman had already shouted that he was a thief, so people along the way tried to catch him.

As more and more people surrounded him, the man in the sheepskin coat panicked and pulled out a knife, waving it wildly.

Those people were indeed frightened and quickly made way for them.

The man in the sheepskin coat smiled smugly and brandished the knife even more vigorously.

It was a kitchen knife, and the sheepskin coat belonged to a tall, imposing man. The people in the theater were terrified and fled.

With so many people around, things got chaotic, which only made the woman in the sheepskin coat more nervous. She was frantically waving her cleaver around in a fit of rage.

"Don't move! All of you stay in your seats!"

"I want to get out! Let me out first!"

In his haphazard movements, the thief somehow ended up next to Qin Hanshu.

There were two people sitting next to her, but they got up and left ten minutes ago, so Qin Hanshu ended up sitting next to the aisle.

The thief seemed to have some mental issues. Qin Hanshu looked him over; his eyes revealed an abnormal madness.

But just as he was looking at him, his eyes met those of the thief.

Qin Hanshu quickly looked away, but couldn't stop the thief from coming over.

He pointed the knife at Qin Hanshu and roared, "What are you looking at? What are you looking at? I'll gouge your eyes out and make them into marbles, you believe me?"

Just as Qin Hanshu had chosen her route and was about to run, Zhou Weiguang grabbed her from beside her.

Zhou Weiguang braced himself against the back of the chair, leaped to the back row, and just in time blocked the approaching thief.

"Brother, don't be impulsive."

Zhou Weiguang's sudden appearance caught the thief off guard, leaving him momentarily stunned. In those two seconds, Zhou Weiguang grabbed the thief's knife-wielding hand and slammed his right knee into the groin.
