Lin Qingyu put down her basket and was about to go over to talk when Li Xiuhua grabbed her arm.
What she just said was quite inappropriate, and Li Xiuhua was afraid she would cause trouble, so she wouldn't let her go over.
"We didn't stay long before we came back. Were you inside the whole time?"
Li Xiuhua had only asked her unconsciously; she didn't have any ulterior motives.
Unexpectedly, Lin Juanjuan coughed a little awkwardly, "Ahem, of course not, I'm here to buy some seeds today."
Her basket did indeed contain several packets of seeds, but no one could see clearly what kind of seeds were inside.
As soon as everyone arrived, Uncle Wu, the driver, slowly drove his donkey cart over.
"Is everyone here? Let's go!"
Two more hours passed before they finally reached Pear Blossom Village, where the donkey cart had only taken them this far.
Everyone was quite tired after a day of shopping, so there wasn't much conversation along the way, and now everyone is heading home.
Lin Qingyu dragged her tired body home, and she was so exhausted that all she wanted to do was sleep.
But Li Xiuhua still had to cook for the whole family. If Lin Qingyu hadn't persuaded her, she might have had to work in the fields for a while longer.
At least they started cooking directly over a fire and didn't have to do anything else.
Lin Qingyu fetched a basin of water and returned to her small, dilapidated house, intending to take a shower.
She was too embarrassed to go swimming in the river. In fact, she had never gone swimming there before, only played in the water.
The water at home isn't cold at all; it's the well water that's ice-cold. There's a large vat in the yard, which we fill with water for convenience.
After a quick rinse, Lin Qingyu began to organize her harvest.
Today we sold a total of ten jin of rice and twelve jin of flour.
At this point, they were considered to be in very good condition, and since they were being sold on the black market, they could be sold for a higher price.
Rice sold for five yuan, and wheat flour sold for six yuan; the prices were the same.
At this price, it's almost the price of pork; only wealthy people would spend so much money to buy it.
However, Lin Qingyu's prices weren't too high; she remembered that someone else was asking for 80 cents a pound.
After tidying up, Lin Qingyu saw that it was still early, and Li Xiuhua was steaming sorghum buns in the kitchen.
As soon as she saw that thing, her throat felt sore, so she thought of going to the back mountain to get something to eat and improve her life.
Lin Qingyu was afraid that Li Xiuhua would worry, so she ran out without saying goodbye.
When she got to the same spot as before, she quickly gathered some shepherd's purse, just like before.
Then she suddenly thought of catching fish!
After collecting a few quail eggs, just as Lin Qingyu was about to leave, she felt a little uneasy.
She suddenly had a thought: what if she encountered someone when she left the space?
It would be great if we could see what was happening outside!
Thinking this, the next second, the image of that large rock and the forest appeared before her eyes.
Lin Qingyu's eyes widened; she could actually see it.
But the next moment, the sound of someone speaking could be heard again.
"Teacher Feng...isn't that inappropriate?"
"There's nothing wrong with it..."
The sound was intermittent, and Lin Qingyu couldn't hear it clearly, but she had already guessed what was going on.
It was getting dark, and if she didn't go home soon, it would be too late.
She could only scare the two of them, hoping they would behave themselves and leave quickly.
In the end, the noise she made really startled the two of them.
Lin Qingyu also saw it; it was Feng Chao and Wu Lili.
I felt no emotional turmoil, not even a hint of sadness.
It's just that there's a slight physical discomfort, and it is indeed a bit disgusting.
After confirming that she was safe, she quickly ran home; there simply wasn't enough time.
The excuse was similar to the last time, and Lin Qingyu knew she couldn't use it again next time.
However, Li Xiuhua still used those shepherd's purse leaves to make some dumplings, meat dumplings, using the meat that Gu Shi had sent over.
After dinner, Lin Qingyu lay down on her small bed, thinking that she had to catch a fish tomorrow, otherwise she would be so hungry for it.
The next day after work, she deliberately took a detour and ran to the other side of the river.
Lin Qingyu was about to perform a fish-catching trick with her bare hands, but she was so frightened that she almost fell into the river.
"What are you doing?"
Lin Qingyu had already prepared to catch the fish, but startled by this, the three-pound fish escaped.
She turned her head and saw Gu Shi.
"My fish!"
She called out, and watched as the fish swam faster and faster until it was almost out of sight.
Just then, a splash was heard, and Gu Shi jumped into the water, dove down, and quickly caught it.
Lin Qingyu looked at the fish she had lost and found again, and burst into tears of joy.
Suddenly, an idea struck her, and she shouted, "There's another one over there!"
Gu Shi held the lively fish in his hand and casually put it into the basket that Lin Qingyu was holding.
After turning around and seeing the fish, he went back into the water to catch it.
With his skills, he caught it very easily.
Here, your fish.
Gu Shi handed the fish in his hand to Lin Qingyu. The two fish were about the same size and not very fat.
Lin Qingyu smiled and said, "No need, you caught it in the first place, take it back and give it to Xiaobao to help him recover!"
She was showing her calves, her bare feet wading in the shallow water on the riverbank, the babbling water obscuring her toes.
Gu Shi glanced at it and thought: Her feet must be very cute.
He didn't show it on his face, but insisted on handing it to her.
"Take it back with you, he has enough to eat."
Indeed, Zhao Xiaobao was the fattest child in the entire Pear Blossom Village, with a chubby face and a strong body.
