Chapter 11 The Big Plan

"Beiping...Beiping, I...maybe we should just call it off." Perhaps it was because what they were about to do was too exciting and too crazy, Wu Di's heart was pounding so hard it felt like it was about to jump out of his throat.

Ye Beiping turned around and glared at Wu Di, then made a shushing gesture: "Shh, look at your cowardly coward. It's just two guns, what big deal could it be? Besides, we're not stealing them, we'll return them."

The two soon arrived at the warehouse entrance, only to find the door locked with a chain.

"What...what are we going to do? We can't get in." Wu Di trembled as he breathed a sigh of relief.

If we can't get in, doesn't that mean we don't need to steal anything?

Stealing public property, especially guns, is a very serious crime.

If Ye Beiping hadn't threatened him with his brother, Wu Di wouldn't have agreed so quickly. But now that it's actually being implemented, he still feels uncertain.

Not hearing Ye Beiping's reply, Wu Di looked in his direction, his eyes almost popping out of their sockets.

Unexpectedly, Ye Beiping had already knocked on the window and was climbing inside.

"Beiping, you..."

"Shut up."

While Wu Di was surprised, Ye Beiping scolded him.

Without saying a word, Ye Beiping leaped up and appeared inside the warehouse.

The militia company's warehouse was filled with weapons, large and small, totaling over a hundred, except for some food.

He walked to the place where the guns were stored, touched the dark gun barrels, and unconsciously curled up his lips: "Wow, so many."

As he spoke, Ye Beiping picked up the three most inconspicuous guns and carried them toward the window.

As he passed a table, he also swiped a box of bullets.

The September night was still a bit muggy, but Wu Di, who was waiting outside, was shivering and looking around anxiously, afraid that someone might pass by.

"Fatty, here you go."

Ye Beiping shouted and handed three guns out the window, while he stuffed the bullets into his pocket and prepared to jump out of the warehouse.

“Beijing…it seems like someone is coming.” Wu Di stammered from outside the window.

"What?"

Ye Beiping craned his neck to look outside and, sure enough, spotted a flashlight beam heading their way. Without a second thought, he jumped out the window and grabbed Wu Di, running towards the back.

Whoosh!

Wu Di, the fat man, was panting heavily after only a few steps while carrying the gun, and he hunched over, saying, "I can't go on, I can't run anymore."

"Ugh, what a waste." At this point, Ye Beiping could only grab the gun, run to the dog hole at the back, shove it out, and then throw out the bullets he was carrying.

After doing all this, he finally breathed a sigh of relief and went back to find Wu Di.

At this moment, Wu Di was being questioned by three people.

What are you doing here?

"Isn't this Wu Guangfa's son?"

"It goes without saying that they came with our company commander's son."

...

At this moment, Ye Beiping pretended to pull up his pants and walked over, saying, "Excuse me, I just needed to use the restroom. I was in a hurry and just found a random place. Fatty came with me."

The militia leader shone his flashlight on Ye Beiping and said with a pursed lip, "Ye Beiping, don't cause trouble. Go find Baolin quickly. This is a militia camp. There are many things you can't touch, understand?"

"I know, I know, I'm sorry, I really needed to pee."

Ye Beiping pulled Wu Di and quickly ran away.

They finally breathed a sigh of relief when they reached the agreed meeting point.

"That scared me to death!" Wu Di patted his chest repeatedly, panting heavily. "If we had been caught just now, would we have gone to jail?"

Ye Beiping rolled his eyes at Wu Di, annoyed, and whispered, "Shut up, don't you know where you are?"

"oh."

Suddenly Wu Di's eyes widened, as if he had remembered something: "Beiping, it seems like we left the window open when we left."

"It's nothing," Ye Beiping said calmly. "I took a precaution when I ran away. You wouldn't notice it unless you were looking closely. Who would look at the windows over there at night unless there's an emergency?"

"That's true."

After exchanging a few words, the two felt relieved and waited for Baolin in the same spot.

A few minutes later, Hou Baolin came out.

"How's the matter going?"

He looked guilty and spoke very softly.

Ye Beiping and Wu Di both nodded silently to him.

Seeing this, Hou Baolin's lips curled up, and he gave the two a thumbs up: "I feel that the three of us have the potential to be spies tonight."

"That's a must." Wu Di completely forgot how scared he had been just now, and now he was bragging without even thinking.
