Unbeknownst to the others, Jiang Hai was listening intently to their argument from inside the room.
Hearing only laughter outside, he opened the door.
Click!
The slight sound of the door opening instantly silenced the entire room.
Everyone looked expectantly at Jiang Hai, waiting for him to call their people inside.
When Jiang Hai opened the door and saw so many people, he suddenly realized that his decision had been somewhat hasty, and there were too many people in the room to stay any longer.
"Ahem, well..." Jiang Hai coughed lightly to cover his embarrassment and said, "Good morning, everyone. I didn't expect you all to be here so early."
"Hey, good morning, Mr. Jiang."
"Yes, yes, Mr. Jiang, I apologize for disturbing you."
...
Jiang Hai recognized the two people speaking at a glance and pointed at them, saying, "Are you Director Wei? Are you Director Wu?"
"Yes, yes, yes."
"Yes, yes, yes."
Wei Daming and another sales department director surnamed Wu nodded in agreement.
Seeing everyone staring at him expectantly, Jiang Hai pursed his lips and thought for a moment before saying, "You all asked me a few questions yesterday, but I was too tired to answer them. Since everyone is here today, I'll answer them first. If you don't agree with what I've said, you can leave now."
Everyone looked at Jiang Hai expectantly, waiting for his answer.
Cough cough!
Jiang Hai cleared his throat and organized his thoughts before saying, "Regarding the payment terms, we've decided to take a batch of goods for trial sales first. If things go well, we'll take another five thousand pairs of leather shoes at once."
"It will take about a week."
"That Mr. Jiang..." Wei Daming hurriedly tried to speak after hearing this.
Unexpectedly, Jiang Hai waved his hand to stop him: "Director Wei, wait a moment, let me finish what I have to say first."
"Okay." Wei Daming nodded awkwardly.
Seeing that everyone had quieted down, Jiang Hai then said, "Regarding the price, if you are willing to accept payment terms, each of you should submit your quotes to me, and I will take the best one. As for prepayment, we will not be making any prepayments for the time being, since I am here. If you have any questions, just come to me directly. I will be in Wencheng during the first batch of trial sales."
"What?" Several people exclaimed in surprise after hearing Jiang Hai's words.
Soon, the group started discussing it.
"No prepayment?"
"Yeah, what's going on? Are you expecting us to deliver the goods without any prepayment?"
"That won't do. What if the goods are lost?"
...
Jiang Hai watched as everyone started discussing, each offering their own opinion. Not in a hurry, he leaned against the door frame and watched the dozen or so people in front of him begin their discussion.
These were the answers Ye Beiping wrote on that piece of paper, and he followed them exactly.
He didn't know whether these state-owned factories could accept it or not, but he figured that doing whatever Ye Beiping said was the right thing to do.
However, despite the large scale of the event, Jiang Hai was still somewhat uneasy, especially when he thought about Ye Beiping's suggestion to deceive him about time.
Within minutes, two or three representatives from state-owned factories left. Since they were all sales staff and not leaders, they planned to go back and inquire about the matter first.
For these employees, it's best to close a deal, but it doesn't matter if they don't. There's no need to fight tooth and nail with the big shots ahead of them. As long as the factory is there, their wages won't be reduced.
This is one of the drawbacks of state-owned factories.
The commissions aren't much; I live entirely on my salary.
Wei Daming was the first to react at this moment, and with a somewhat embarrassed smile on his face, he said, "Then, Mr. Jiang, may we go inside to talk?"
"Hmm." Jiang Hai nodded slightly and said to everyone, "If everything I said is fine, you can come in and we can discuss it in detail. As for things that you can't decide or accept, thank you all for making this trip today."
These words made several state-owned factories back down, and now there are only six or seven people standing in front of Jiang Hai's house.
Jiang Hai glanced at the people, sighed slightly, and turned to walk into the room.
Originally there were more than a dozen people, but after a few words, half of them are gone. We don't know if Ye Beiping's method will work. If we can't get the goods, then we won't make any money.
After everyone followed Jiang Hai into the room, Li Peiqiang rolled his eyes, hesitated for a moment, and then followed in.
Without advance payment, Jiangnan Leather Factory had never done such an order before.
Despite the factory's current situation, Li Peiqiang gritted his teeth and followed them into the room. He figured he could go in and find out what was going on, and if it didn't work out, he could always leave later.
Six or seven people walked into the room, and the room instantly became crowded.
Jiang Hai glanced at it, looking slightly embarrassed: "Well, space is limited, you can sit on the bed."
"Okay, okay." After standing for so long, Wei Daming was the first to not hold it against him and sat down on the bed without saying a word.
Others either found chairs where they could, or sat on the beds where they couldn't.
Seeing that everyone was seated, Jiang Hai asked, "Have you prepared your quotations from your factories?"
"Ready, ready." Wei Daming was the first again, taking a notebook out of his briefcase and handing it to Jiang Hai.
It's clear that Wei Daming is a master at handling orders; he has already prepared everything he needed to.
Jiang Hai glanced at it casually and found that it was about the styles and prices of leather shoes.
It was very formal; he had never seen anything like it before. But for Jiang Hai, looking at these pictures, apart from a few styles that were very different, he could hardly tell the difference between the other styles.
"Um... what about yours?" Jiang Hai glanced through them briefly before looking up at the others.
