We arrived at the factory gate.
Ye Xiaoxin finally understood what the man surnamed Xiao had said earlier. She hadn't expected that the leaders of the state-owned factory would use such secret codes.
While feeling both intrigued and extremely angry, I was also filled with a sense of wonder.
A factory that was on the verge of bankruptcy came to them to buy things and actually asked them to treat them to a meal.
"Xiaolong, why did you treat them to dinner just now?"
Tang Xiaolong unlocked the bicycle and looked up with a wry smile: "Sister Xiaoxin, this is the usual practice of state-owned factories. No matter what it is, they will only talk after eating and drinking. Otherwise, they won't talk to you."
"Besides, we are a privately owned restaurant. The security guard just said that in the past, they would never have given us any goods."
With a sigh, he turned to see the gatekeeper waving and smiling at him, and he smiled and nodded back.
Turning around, Tang Xiaolong got on his bicycle and said to Ye Xiaoxin, "Let's go, Sister Xiaoxin, let's go first. It would be impolite if we arrived before them."
"Why should I?" Ye Xiaoxin said indignantly.
But my body honestly got on the bicycle and started moving forward with one pedal.
Tang Xiaolong looked at Ye Xiaoxin's back and felt helpless, so he could only step on the pedal hard to catch up.
Half an hour later, at the Joyful Hotel.
It's lunchtime now, but the hall is deserted.
Ye Xiaoxin and Tang Xiaolong entered the restaurant and frowned when they saw the few customers.
Walking to the front desk, Ye Xiaoxin asked Su Xinwan, who was lost in thought, "Xinwan, are there only this many customers today?"
“Yes,” Su Xinwan replied, glancing at the hall and sighing, “There were so many people yesterday, but look at everyone sitting there chatting today, Sister Xin.”
As she spoke, she gestured with her lips toward a secluded spot.
Ye Xiaoxin and Tang Xiaolong looked over there and saw several waiters standing together chatting while holding cloths.
There are even two side dishes inside.
Apart from one head chef, the entire Xile Hotel only had two side dish preparers and four waiters.
There are now five people standing in the corner, but not a single one is actually doing any work, which infuriates Ye Xiaoxin.
I was thinking of going up and saying a few words.
Unexpectedly, Tang Xiaolong grabbed her arm and pulled her foot back as she was about to step out.
She turned around, frowned, and asked, "What?"
"What are you going to do, Sister Xiaoxin?" Tang Xiaolong asked, pursing his lips.
"Of course, we should make them do the work."
Tang Xiaolong was speechless upon hearing this. He pointed to the few guests scattered around the hall and asked, "The dishes have all been served, but the guests haven't left yet. What are you asking them to do?"
"This..." Ye Xiaoxin was completely speechless.
Tang Xiaolong then continued, "Brother Beiping once told us that laziness in employees is not in their nature, but rather the problem lies with the boss."
"Hmm? Looking for problems with the boss?"
This left Ye Xiaoxin completely bewildered.
You hired people yourself, and now it's become your problem?
Tang Xiaolong sighed: "Actually, this has happened in our chain stores before. When business is bad, the employees have nothing to do and like to chat and gossip together. The boss can't control that."
"The only thing we can control is that business is good, then these employees will naturally not have time to chat there."
Ye Xiaoxin suddenly thought, "That makes a lot of sense."
Upon hearing this, Tang Xiaolong chuckled and patted the front desk, saying, "Xinwan, please reserve a private room for us."
"ah?"
Su Xinwan was already dozing off when she suddenly heard Tang Xiaolong say he wanted to book a private room. She looked back and forth between him and Ye Xiaoxin.
It seems to mean: Is it just the two of you?
Noticing Su Xinwan's strange look, Tang Xiaolong frowned, his youthful face transforming into that of a mature boss: "What are you looking at? Today, Sister Xinwan and I are hosting guests here, so this bill is on Sister Xinwan's tab."
"Why should I?" Ye Xiaoxin frowned.
I was already annoyed with that woman surnamed Xiao on the way here by bike, and now she wants to hold me accountable. The more I think about it, the angrier I get.
Seeing that Ye Xiaoxin seemed unhappy, Su Xinwan didn't dare to make any moves and just stared straight at Tang Xiaolong.
I thought Tang Xiaolong was trying to freeload.
When they first announced the opening of this restaurant, everyone was worried that Tang Xiaolong and his group would come and freeload every day. They never expected that day would come so soon, on the second day after the opening.
Tang Xiaolong noticed the two women staring at him, one with a fierce look and the other with a suspicious gaze, and immediately decided against it, throwing a tantrum.
“Sister Xiaoxin, if you keep doing this, I’m going to tell Brother Beiping that I can’t cooperate with this anymore, and I’ll have Jiang He cooperate with you instead, and see if he will do the same thing as me.”
"This..." Su Xinwan realized that things weren't quite as she had expected, since her brother-in-law's name had already been mentioned, so she asked hesitantly, "Um... who exactly are the guests?"
"What other guests could they be? The head of the sales department at Donghu Brewery. Today we were just talking to them about purchasing beer, and it was just a meal. Xinwan, do you think I did anything wrong?" Tang Xiaolong was trying to build up a small clique and get Su Xinwan on his side.
That is indeed the case.
Su Xinwan thought for a moment and then said to Ye Xiaoxin, "Sister Xiaoxin, I feel that Tang Xiaolong is right this time. Of course, you have to have a meal and drinks when you talk business. If you don't treat people to a meal right at mealtime, it seems... like you're not being sincere."
"Xinwan is so sensible." Tang Xiaolong spoke as if he were a grown man, lecturing a child.
