Su Jianguo nodded and turned to walk towards the main room.
Li Decai wanted to follow, but was stopped by Sister Wang.
"Sir, please wait outside for a moment. Our neighborhood committee is mediating a family dispute; we don't need so many people present."
Li Decai's expression changed.
"I am Mingqiang's father-in-law..."
"Even my father-in-law won't do!"
Sister Wang's attitude was firm.
"The parents of the person involved may participate; everyone else, please wait in the yard."
Li Decai wanted to argue, but Li Jinhua tugged at his sleeve and whispered a few words.

Inside the main room, Su Jianguo sat in the main seat, while Sister Wang and her colleagues sat to one side.
Su Mingqiang and Su Mingde sat on either side, one with his head down and the other huddled in his wheelchair.
Su Mingfu stood firmly behind Su Jianguo.
Sister Wang opened the folder.
"Mr. Su, your eldest son, Su Mingqiang, came to the neighborhood office yesterday to apply for a division of the family property. According to procedure, we need to understand the specific circumstances..."
Before she could finish speaking, a commotion suddenly broke out outside the courtyard gate.
Liu Meijuan pushed aside the Li family members who were trying to stop her and barged into the main room.
"I'm a family member too!"
Liu Meijuan said this with a straight face.

Sister Wang turned to Su Jianguo.

Su Jianguo slowly stood up, his gaze sweeping over his two sons.
Su Mingqiang unconsciously shrank his neck, while Su Mingde avoided his father's gaze and stared at his leg in a cast.
I am fifty-three years old this year.
Su Jianguo said slowly.

Su Jianguo's stern shout startled Su Mingqiang, who trembled.

The house fell silent again, and even the neighbors watching from the yard held their breath.

Seeing that the two were about to start arguing again, Sister Wang quickly stopped them.
