A gray head peeked out from the small window of the guardhouse; it was Old Zhang, the guard.
He pushed up his reading glasses and squinted at Su Jianguo.
"What a rare guest! I heard you resigned and went back to the countryside?"
Su Jianguo propped up his bicycle, took out a pack of Daqianmen cigarettes from his pocket, pulled one out, and handed it over.
"Master Zhang, are you still in good health?"
Old Zhang took the cigarette, smelled it under his nose, and a satisfied look appeared on his face.
"Not bad, not bad. You're... back at the factory on business?"
He looked Su Jianguo up and down and asked.
"Yes, if you need anything, contact the logistics department."
Su Jianguo smiled and offered him another cigarette.
"Could you please register me?"
Old Zhang took the cigarette, tucked it behind his ear, and slowly opened the register.
"What's the rush? Everyone's off work."
Su Jianguo leaned closer to the window and whispered.
"I got a batch of wild boar meat and was wondering if the factory canteen would like some."
Wild boar meat?
Old Zhang's hand trembled, and he suddenly looked up, his eyes wide open.
"How many?"
"More than 6,000 jin."
Su Jianguo said it casually, but deliberately emphasized the words "six thousand".
Old Zhang unconsciously swallowed, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down.

He slammed the register shut and pushed open the small door.
"Come in, come in! Director Liu from the logistics department hasn't left yet. I'll take you there!"
Su Jianguo chuckled inwardly.
Old Zhang was all business as usual just now, but as soon as he heard there was meat, he immediately became a different person.
He pushed his bicycle and followed Lao Zhang into the factory area, where workers who were leaving get off work kept greeting him along the way.
"Old Su! You're back!"
"Brother Jianguo, I heard you made a fortune back in the countryside?"
"Master Su, when are you going to treat us to drinks?"
Su Jianguo responded to each of them, but felt a sense of emotion in his heart.
When he left three months ago, many of these people gossiped behind his back, saying he was foolish to give up a secure job.
