Chapter 151 If the son is no good, then he seduces the father?

She was holding a bamboo basket and standing by the well, seemingly having just finished washing clothes.

The sunlight slanted down on her, outlining her slender curves.

"Uncle Su!"

When Xiaomei saw Su Jianguo, her eyes lit up. She immediately put down what she was doing and hurried over to greet him with a sweet smile on her face.

"Where have you been coming from?"

Su Jianguo stopped the car, braced himself on one foot, and glanced at her indifferently.

"Just got back from the village."

His voice was calm and devoid of any emotion.

Xiaomei took a few steps closer, and a rich scent of face cream wafted from her.

She deliberately brushed a stray hair behind her ear, revealing her fair neck.

"Uncle Su, why haven't I seen Mingfu today?"

She asked innocently, but her eyes were fixed on Su Jianguo's reaction.

Su Jianguo's eyes instantly turned cold.

He already knew what this woman was up to, and now she dared to ask about his son right in front of him.

"Mingfu has gone back to school and is living on campus."

Su Jianguo spoke directly, his voice deep and powerful.

"I won't be coming back often anymore."

He emphasized the last few words, trying to dispel the widow's unnecessary thoughts.

Xiaomei's smile froze for a moment, but quickly returned to its sweet expression.

"Oh dear, that's such a pity."

She sighed with feigned regret, but her eyes darted around, clearly plotting something.

Suddenly, she took a step forward, now only an arm's length away from Su Jianguo.

"Actually, Uncle Su..."

Xiaomei's voice suddenly became softer, carrying a hint of ambiguity.

"I've always felt that mature men like you are more attractive."

Her fingers unconsciously tugged at the hem of her clothes, but her eyes boldly roamed over Su Jianguo.

Su Jianguo sneered; this woman's face changed faster than turning the pages of a book.

He knew this trick all too well.

If the son is no longer an option, then they turn to the father?

They really miscalculated.

"Comrade Xiaomei."

Su Jianguo said in a deep voice, his tone carrying an unquestionable authority.

"I advise you to focus your energy on the right path. Gossip is everywhere; be careful not to slip up."

Xiaomei's face flushed red and then turned pale at this blunt rejection, but she was unwilling to give up.

With a quick glance around, she suddenly cried out "Ouch!" and pretended to slip, falling towards Su Jianguo.

Su Jianguo reacted quickly, dodging to the side, and Xiaomei missed her target and almost fell to the ground.

She steadied herself awkwardly, and one of the buttons on her chest had been undone, revealing more of her snow-white skin.

"Uncle Su~"

Xiaomei's voice was sickeningly sweet, with a deliberate hint of coquettishness.

Why didn't you lend a hand to that person?

She deliberately drew out her words, her eyes full of provocation.

Su Jianguo watched her performance with a blank expression, his heart unmoved.

In his eyes, such clumsy seduction tactics were utterly ridiculous.

"I'm getting old, and my eyesight isn't good."

Su Jianguo said coldly.

"Those who can't see the road clearly should be careful."

Xiaomei's smile finally faded.

She had never encountered such an unyielding man before; her usual methods were completely ineffective against him.

A surge of anger welled up inside her, but she suppressed it and didn't show it.

"Uncle Su, you're joking."

She forced a smile and took another step closer.

"Actually, I've always admired men like you—mature, steady, and capable..."

Her hand casually touched Su Jianguo's bicycle handlebars.

Su Jianguo looked down at the hand with bright red nail polish, a hint of disgust flashing in his eyes.

He suddenly lifted the handlebars, catching Xiaomei off guard. Her hand was flung away, and she staggered back two steps.

"It's getting late, I should go home."

Su Jianguo didn't even glance at her, and pushed his bicycle to leave.

Xiaomei panicked and quickly caught up with him to stop him.

"Uncle Su! Don't rush off!"

Her voice suddenly trembled with a hint of a sob.

"I...I'm raising my child alone, and my mother-in-law is difficult to get along with. Life is really tough..."

Su Jianguo stopped and turned to look at her.

Xiaomei thought there was a turning point, and a hint of smugness flashed in her eyes. She immediately put on a pitiful look.

"You don't know, since my husband left, we, a widow and her children, have been..."

She wiped away non-existent tears with a handkerchief.

"If I could have a man like you to take care of me... I... I would do anything..."

"Comrade Xiaomei."

Su Jianguo interrupted her.

"My wife is still at home waiting for me to have dinner."

After saying that, he pushed the cart away without looking back.

Xiaomei stood there, her expression quickly shifting from feigned weakness to ferocity.

She stared at Su Jianguo's departing figure, growing angrier the more she thought about it.

He then gritted his teeth and cursed under his breath.

"You old geezer! What are you pretending to be so high and mighty for! No wonder your son is a good-for-nothing!"

Her meticulously planned schemes failed one after another, and her anger was about to burst forth.

Su Jianguo walked to his doorstep, took a deep breath, and put the unpleasantness from earlier behind him.

Push open the courtyard gate.

Wang Xiulan was sitting at a stone table in the center of the courtyard, with a large pile of soybeans spread out in front of her. She was holding a small sieve and carefully sifting the soybeans.

Su Yufen sat to the side, holding a notebook in her hands, carefully recording every word her mother said.

"Mom, will beans sifted this way really be better?"
