Su Jianguo did not answer directly, but asked a question instead.
"Where's the third brother?"
"Do your homework indoors."
Wang Xiulan answered, still looking worried.
"Call him out; I have something to ask him."
A short while later, Su Mingfu walked out with his head down, his face still showing shame.
Ever since his father dragged him away from Xiaomei that day, he has never dared to look his father in the eye.
"Dad, you wanted to see me?"
The boy's voice was as soft as a mosquito's buzz.
Su Jianguo looked at his son, his tone softening.
"Third brother, do any of your classmates have families working for the railway bureau? Preferably in the freight department."
Su Mingfu looked up, somewhat surprised by his father's question.
"There's...there's someone named Deng Dachao, his dad seems to be a dispatcher at the freight depot."
Su Jianguo's eyes lit up.
"Okay! Take me to meet him tomorrow."
"Dad, what are you doing?"
Su Mingfu asked, puzzled.
"Nothing, just wanted to ask about something."
Su Jianguo patted his son on the shoulder, then turned to Wang Xiulan.
"Xiulan, I'm going out tonight, don't wait for me for dinner."
Wang Xiulan became anxious.
Where are you going so late?
"Go to the freight station."
Su Jianguo had already walked towards the courtyard gate.
"Since the whistleblower letter is useless, I'll go and collect the evidence myself."
Wang Xiulan chased after him to the door.

He held his breath and carefully crawled inside.
The station is crisscrossed with railway tracks, with only a few trains sitting quietly there.
Su Jianguo crouched down and slowly searched along the railway tracks.
He wanted to find the truck that Ma Sanbao used to smuggle vegetables.
The lights in the station duty room were on in the distance, and the sound of a radio could be faintly heard coming from inside.

Ahead, a black freight train was parked on the tracks, with the words "From Beijing to Guangzhou" written on it.
