Chapter 182 Local Clan Relationships: Deeply Rooted and Complex!

When he came out again, he was followed by two photographers carrying two large wooden crates.

"Put it in the trunk."

Su Jianguo gave the order, a satisfied look finally appearing on his face.

Old Li curiously leaned over for a look and saw that the box contained twenty black suits, twenty pairs of black leather shoes, and twenty pairs of sunglasses, all neatly stacked inside.

"Mr. Su, what's wrong...?"

Old Li's eyes widened.

"Package."

Su Jianguo said briefly, a cold smile playing on his lips.

"Clothes make the man, and a saddle makes the horse; we need to give those workers a proper makeover."

On the way back, Su Jianguo was in a much better mood.

He leaned back in his seat, his fingers tapping lightly on his knees, already outlining his next plan in his mind.

When the jeep stopped again outside the Hongqi Market, the twenty workers were still standing obediently in place, although some of them had already squatted on the ground to rest.

Upon seeing Su Jianguo return, they quickly stood up and brushed the dust off their clothes.

"Come here, everyone."

Su Jianguo waved, signaling the photo studio staff to bring the box down.

"One set for each person, take the one in your own size."

The workers gathered around curiously, and when they saw the brand-new suits and leather shoes in the box, their eyes widened in surprise.

"This...this is for us?"

The burly man with the thick beard stammered.

"You can borrow these for now."

Su Jianguo corrected him.

"Now, everyone, put them on."

The workers looked at each other, but under Su Jianguo's stern gaze, they obediently began to change their clothes.

The corner of the market quickly turned into an open-air changing room, where workers awkwardly put on suits, ties, and leather shoes.

Su Jianguo paced back and forth in front of them, occasionally correcting someone's tie or the hem of their shirt.

After the last person was dressed, Su Jianguo took out sunglasses from the box and distributed them one by one.

"Put it on."

He commanded.

The moment twenty burly men simultaneously put on sunglasses, the atmosphere of the entire scene changed instantly.

The image of the simple and honest farmers was completely swept away, replaced by a well-organized and imposing "bodyguard" team.

Passersby involuntarily took a detour, and some even quickened their pace and hurried away.

The market vendors stopped hawking their wares and curiously observed the suddenly appearing "gang" group.

"Okay, very good."

Su Jianguo nodded in satisfaction, a slight smile playing on his lips.

This is the effect he wanted.

His appearance alone was enough to intimidate the Song family.

But appearance is only the first step.

Su Jianguo knew that for the plan to be executed perfectly, he needed these workers to cooperate with his performance.

"Now, listen carefully."

Su Jianguo raised his voice to make sure everyone could hear him.

"This isn't your average construction job. Here's the thing: I'm filming a scene right now. I'm the lead actor, and you guys are my bodyguards."

The workers looked at each other in confusion, but no one dared to voice their doubts.

Simply put...

Su Jianguo continued to explain.

"From this moment on, forget you're workers, and think of yourselves as professional bodyguards. I am your boss, a very rich and powerful boss."

He paused for a moment, his gaze sweeping across everyone's faces.

"Do you understand?"

"Understood, boss!"

The burly man with the thick beard was the first to react, straightening his back and answering loudly.

Others followed suit, shouting "Understood!" in varying voices.

"Not neat enough."

Su Jianguo frowned.

"Let's do it again. I'll say 'Do you understand?' and you all need to answer in unison, 'Yes, boss!' in a loud and clear voice."

He demonstrated it once, and then asked again.

"Do you understand?"

"Understood, boss!"

The voices of the twenty people were perfectly synchronized, echoing in the empty market and attracting even more attention.

"very good."

Su Jianguo nodded.

"Now, I'm going to lay out a few rules. First, no one is allowed to speak without my permission; second, stand and sit properly, don't slouch; third, no matter what happens, remain serious and don't laugh."

He paused for a moment, his gaze sharpening.

"If anyone breaks the rules, half their salary will be deducted. Good performers will receive bonuses."

Upon hearing the word "bonus," the workers' eyes lit up, and their posture unconsciously became even more upright.

"Now, let's practice the basic movements."

Su Jianguo began training these temporary "bodyguards" like a director instructing actors.

"When I walk, you should follow me in two lines, keeping a distance of one meter."

"When someone gets close to me, the two people in front should immediately step forward to stop them."

"When I raise my hand, it means I need quiet, and everyone must shut up immediately."

And so, in an open space in a corner of the market, Su Jianguo spent two whole hours training this makeshift team.

Although the movements are not yet professional, at least they look quite impressive.

"Just one last thing."

Su Jianguo said seriously.

"If anyone asks about your identities, just say you're security personnel from my company. That's all you know, understand?"

"Understood, boss!"

Twenty voices spoke in unison.

Su Jianguo nodded in satisfaction, glanced at his watch, and saw that it was already past three in the afternoon.
